Okay. Instead of taking over the workwear thread. Ideas/pics for nice outfits for drinks and maybe a spot of dancing on summer evenings, please? Especially for those of us who quite like a bit of leg on show.

Watching with interest. Been invited to a 50th party at a golf club and am struggling to think about what I will wear. There is no dress code so I'm thinking smart/casual. Not sure if yellow tank
trusty white jeans and yellow wedges will cut the mustard. Too casual perhaps? And no leg on show Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 18:24

Thanks, Betty. Yours sounds fine and v summery/party appropriate, but I am a bit of an aged goth and it's far too colourful for the likes of me! Grin

I like this kimono cardigan. Nice with jeans, heels and a black cami.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 18:37

Pretty. But I don't want to wear jeans. :)

What about silver grey skinnies with high silver Court shoes. .. River Island have nice silky camis, maybe a black one and then metallic clutch, chandelier earrings to finish off? Doesn't meet the show off legs criteria mind you!

FauxFox · 17/05/2014 18:41

I am trying to decide if I like the 'two piece' matching print skirt and top thing that is around...am quite taken with the idea of a full highish waisted skirt to the knee and a slightly cropped fitted top - I fear I may be too old Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 19:16

I couldn't do a crop top. Knee length skirts too worky, and skinnies = what I pretty much always wear.

Xpost...hmmm..no jeans.. It would need to be cotton 7/8 trousers for me then. But dull I guess. I cannot be bothered with leg maintenance required for a skirt

PrincessOfChina · 17/05/2014 19:22

Shorts? I have some from Oasis that I think could be dressed up.

Or how about a dress like this

PrincessOfChina · 17/05/2014 19:23

Meant to say I think the shorts I have would look good with a cami and kimono.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 19:28

I like shorts and opaques, but not sure now it's not winter. Deffo wouldn't do bare legs.

Would sheer nude tights be daft?

OP posts:
FauxFox · 17/05/2014 19:33

Slinky maxi and a vest like this? I like that look too.
What about shorts if you are leggy? this tailored style or swishy ones?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 19:35

Sorry Faux, but really hate that maxi.

Shorts good but see below.

FauxFox · 17/05/2014 19:38

Or culottes?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 19:39

Yikes no to culottes!

FauxFox · 17/05/2014 19:42

vivienne playsuit?
black jumpsuit?

EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 19:42

NO WRAP DRESSES ALLOWED pliz

tonight i am wearing thin skinny jeans( primark dont think about bangladesh) aplain black jersey top and the zara gold zip jacket in cream.

I need to revisit the shorts de soir idea but its too cold tonight anyway.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 19:43

Erm...do people really spend £500 on something to go to the pub in?

OP posts:
EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 19:44

i have been a rummaging in the loft today and found an ice blue zara shirt I bought last year and never wore. Its quite oversizes and my boys hated it.
Plus some white coated zara jeans i had totally forgotten about

Gillybobs · 17/05/2014 19:45

Remus is it no to jeans cos you fancy a change or is it because you think they'd be too warm? I ask because I've just come across Dorothy Perkins brooke jeggings which are super lightweight cotton jeggings that are going to be fab in warmer weather

PrincessOfChina · 17/05/2014 19:46

I do sheer, nude tights. Hold my tummy in ones so they do twice the work! Wouldn't bother on a day like today though and my legs are pretty chunky!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 19:46

My legs are my best bit, so I want my legs out! Shameless hussy etc.

FauxFox · 17/05/2014 19:47

Not suggesting you buy that just trying to find something you like the idea of. I always use NAP for ideas and then get much cheaper highstreet stuff to recreate the looks I like. I feel like i'm annoying you so i'll bow out...hope you find something you like Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 19:47

You are not annoying me at all! Sorry. Blush
