Hi, I hope no one minds me starting a new thread, I was about to post on the old one and then saw it was on 999 messages so I'm hoping I can get a link to this one on before it fills up so we don't get lost. Apologies if I've trodden on anyone's toes Blush

The previous thread is here

Hi jennimoo, I'm not sure what your budget is, but I picked up some gorgeous forest green moleskin slim leg trousers from Anthropologie the other day. I think they were called Stevie ankle. I will link when not on my phone...

JenniMoo · 16/09/2014 12:41

Thanks for the ideas where to look. I'm not sure about a blazer, collars aren't very me, but open to try something different!

hi everyone. i hope you don't mind me gatecrashing your thread... but i am hoping someone can help me.

my lovely mum turns 60 next year. we have self diagnosed her as having soft autumn colouring, i know the colours that suit her, but when i go into the shops it seems impossible to find any of these colours (i am a summer which doesn't help, but i have actually properly looked!)

she is in drastic need of new clothes. she's very fussy, and because of her age too i have no idea where to shop for her. she likes plainish tops that aren't too fussy, that go with trousers, and casual type blazer. also straight leg jeans, she doesn't like things that are too tight, and she hates anything too patterned or in your face. i can go to debehnams on saturday, i have no idea where else to shop, she is stuck like glue to M&S per una, (all her clothes - predictably - per una, size 10!) and i would love to get her out of that rut!! any ideas?

Massimo Dutti has lots of lovely autumn colours in - cigarette pants and coats fir those who are asking. I'm eyeing up the teal Lyocell shirt.

JenniMoo · 17/09/2014 06:31

Thanks for links for trousers but nothing in price range / size as yet.
What colour red do you think these Boden trousers are? They're called autumn leaf...

Matalan have 20% off and have some khaki trousers. I've ordered them to try.

There's also an ankle grazing version in the same colour.

Thanks travel. I'm hoping they fit / look ok when they arrive, especially at that price!

I've just bought a brown cable knit jumper from H&M (acrylic not wool though) and I can see it in my mind with a bright or burnt orange shirt underneath - anyone seen anything like that anywhere, preferably in an H&M budget range Wink?. I'm trying to lose a couple of stones so don't want to go too mad with buying expensive clothes which won't fit me soon.

Got bought the M and S camel coat as an early birthday present. I love it.

Can't find a link as think it's sold out but actually excited about it being cold enough to wear it!

Hopefully · 23/09/2014 14:17

Hello everyone! Just checking in, have precisely zero purchases to report (damn baby taking up all my money by requiring new high chair etc Grin).

Am v tempted by bright red cashmere beanie from Cos though.

Hopefully · 23/09/2014 21:17

red cashmere beanie. I have it in dark green from a couple of years ago and wear it constantly in winter.

I've had a tax refund Grin so I'm wondering about spending it on a style day.

While researching them, I came across this video of a House of Colour stylist describing the style personalities, if anyone is wondering about theirs. I have an inkling of what mine might be but it would be nice to know for sure as I don't always know what suits me or I buy something that fits well and is the right colour but then doesn't feel quite right.

Three coats from Cos, not certain about the colours though

Overlap front coat in purple

somewhat impractical but beautiful dark teal cocoon coat

A line wool coat

Alex did my colour session. I liked her very much. When I get the sound on the computer sorted I will watch her vidoe clip.

Hopefully · 26/09/2014 15:41

Alex was my consultant back in the day too Rock. She is lovely.

That cocoon coat is a beautiful colour. Shame the style would be absolutely dire on me.

ocelot41 · 26/09/2014 17:33

I am with you on that one Hopefully. I need a waist! Nice to see you back after your baby arrived. [Waves to Rahrah and Travel too].

Charitygirl1 · 29/09/2014 11:12

I know this is far from cheap (paid less for a teal cashmere one in Uniqlo last week!) but just wanted to share as it looks like a good royal purple (despite the 'amethyst' name which screams Summer to me )

Will be watching out for the sale I think.
