Hi, I hope no one minds me starting a new thread, I was about to post on the old one and then saw it was on 999 messages so I'm hoping I can get a link to this one on before it fills up so we don't get lost. Apologies if I've trodden on anyone's toes Blush

The previous thread is here

Hi ladies, quick question. Does this look Autumny. Could do with a new teal top as I slittered oily food down my last one!

shortaris1 · 02/11/2014 11:12

Ooh and got this the other day to go with my camel coat. Think I mentioned it before but couldn't find it online at the time. It's lovely.

KittyB52 · 02/11/2014 15:35

shortaris1 that does look like an Autumn colour. It's nice, but I have a couple of similar tops already.

CMP69 · 02/11/2014 16:14

Shortaris I thought the m&s top looked quite turquoise but it's hard to tell online. The scarf is lovely

KittyB52 · 03/11/2014 08:13

I'm still searching for lipsticks that are Autumny, but I might have found some eyeshadows. They're from Superdrug, the 'B' range, and Superdrug has a 3 for 2 offer on make up at the moment.

Not sure if these are too pinky, but they might work:
www.superdrug.com/B-/B-Complete-Eyeshadow-Palette-Glisten-132/p/492954#.VFc4afmsU8s

Love this colour: www.superdrug.com/B-/B-Vivid-Eyeshadow-Filigree-58/p/493381#.VFc4s_msU8s

And this one: www.superdrug.com/B-/B-Vivid-Eyeshadow-Nougat-69/p/493380#.VFc41vmsU8s

www.superdrug.com/B-/B-Vivid-Eyeshadow-Cinnamon-107/p/493373#.VFc4xfmsU8s

I've looked at their lipsticks before, but they don't seem to have any Autumn colours. Not many about to be honest, at least in the ranges I'm looking at (the ones with the Leaping Bunny mark.

shadesofwinter · 04/11/2014 14:35

Thanks Martha, I know he's looked at the Kettlewell colours but he wanted to tie it in more specifically with the narrower HoC options! Will direct him towards Pinterest Smile

MarthaCostello · 05/11/2014 16:49

I spotted this Oasis Katy coat in Natural. It also comes in a lovely lime and an orange, not sure if either are quite autumny enough, and I thought a beigey one would be more sensible.

While I was on the website I also saw this lovely Waffle Edge to Edge cardigan in green. I don't think it would suit me, but it looks rather cosy. It also comes in a colour that they call orange, but looks more like burgundy Confused

In fact they have lots of nice looking stuff but I haven't got time to search through right now.

I've ordered the Oasis coat through Debenhams for same price and free delivery, but the pictures are better on the Oasis website.

I also ordered two more coats: Yumi Distant Digitals coat not sure about the name Confused but it looks like it could be a nice warm colour. I first saw it on the Next website, where it looks completely different. Also Collection camel cashmere blend single breasted coat. I think the Collection one is my favourite of the three I've ordered.

I've also ordered Metallic flat point shoes they're supposedly silver but look more pewter to me and Bow ballerina pumps in blue which looks like it could be a dark tealy petrol type colour.

I hope everyone is having a good week :)

KittyB52 · 06/11/2014 07:52

There are some good colours in Oasis at the moment - the styles are hit and miss for me (as a Natural Gamine). I am desperately trying to get an outfit sorted for our works Christmas party, and have ordered this dress www.oasis-stores.com/the-fiona-dressoasis/fcp-product/3770043827

If it fits and suits, the next question will of course be what colour shoes and tights to wear, as I don't usually wear dresses. Getting ahead of myself a bit though, with my recent track record of finding outfits. Grin

I hadn't even thought about a winter coat in Autumn colours. Confused

CMP69 · 06/11/2014 10:19

Hi Folks
I was in a local boutique yesterday, browsing for christmas pressies, and I saw some for me! Beautiful accessoies in really fab-u-lous autumn colours. www.escapeboutique.co.uk/c/397/Powder The shop is in Whitley Bay (near Newcastle) if you happen to be in the area, but they do delivery, or i'm sure you will find the brand local to you.
I have popped a few on my Christmas list Smile

Ditzy71 · 07/11/2014 20:25

I love Powder accessories, used to have them in my boutique.

KittyB52 · 07/11/2014 21:46

The Oasis dress fits (and suits) - woohoo! Just need to figure out what to wear on my legs and feet now that black opaques and black shoes are out. Confused

CMP69 · 08/11/2014 08:52

That dress is lovely Kitty, what about nude micro nets? I think they dress things up nicely for a party. Not sure about shoes, you could get away with multicoloured as the dress is plain??????

KittyB52 · 08/11/2014 17:57

I had to Google 'nude micro nets' (and I typed it very carefully). Grin I might feel a bit too 'legs out-y' in such sheer tights. However I can't imagine opaques going well with lighter shoes, and I do rather like the first pair of gold shoes on that Debenhams link.

Hi all

Just ordered a bumper lot from Asos - mainly multiple green trews, shell pink sweatshirt, and a khaki tube skirt. Should be here tomorrow, will post up any winners.

Not generally feeling v inspired tho at the moment.

Charitygirl1 · 08/11/2014 19:04

Lovely dress by the way Kitty - I'm rather taken with the yellow version too. With yours I'd probably go for nude for v smart, but would also be happy in a toning green blue. I've said it before but John Lewis's own brand 'teal' tights are a great greeny-navy.

Hopefully · 08/11/2014 19:08

How about mustard tights? Too casual?

KittyB52 · 09/11/2014 17:18

I will try some coloured tights, I think I could get away with them for our Christmas do.

And now onto my next challenge - unfortunately, I will need an outfit for a funeral in the near future. The only item of dark clothing I have is my black work trousers which are ready for retirement as soon as I find suitable Autumn replacements. I am thinking of just getting a black dress in a similar shape to the green one (although obviously not in lace) and wearing it with the black shoes I already own (I still have a load of non-Autumn stuff, as it will take me a while to replace everything with suitable colours).

CMP69 · 09/11/2014 18:56

Sad to hear that Kitty
TBH I really don't think that you can live without black shoes/boots. I have several pairs of both Blush . I wear a uniform to work and have to wear black trousers/skirt and black shoes so I'm never going to be able to do away with them completely. I have decided shoes don't count

CMP69 · 09/11/2014 19:37

Was someone looking for a pleather skirt upthread? Saw this on another thread www.riverisland.com/women/skirts/tube--pencil-skirts/Khaki-leather-look-pencil-skirt-658464 At 30 quid I might have a little trip to River Island myself Grin

Hopefully · 11/11/2014 23:02

Liking that pencil skirt!

Have been quiet on the purchase front this week, but have been making the most of my uber sensible seasalt Janelle (worst name ever?) raincoat in this crappy weather.

CMP69 · 12/11/2014 15:57

Just bought the pencil skirt in khaki Blush Its really lovely on (but a neat fit as you would expect from that price at RI). They have mini a line version too for anyone brave enough Wink

Charitygirl1 · 12/11/2014 20:24

A less exciting pencil skirt in khaki, but am v pleased with ths. Wore it to wrk with peach silk shirt and leopard print cardi - a solid outfit!

And finally bit the bullet and ordered these - will let you knw what they're like

MarthaCostello · 13/11/2014 14:12

Charity where did you get your leopard print cardi? I've been looking for one for ages. I'm a bit of a leopard print addict Blush

Love those trousers, am half wondering about ordering a pair myself. Also, the dress is lovely, I hope it comes back in stock Sad
