shopafrolic · 10/05/2014 16:58

Do you reckon I can do black at an evening reception?

MarshaBrady · 10/05/2014 17:10

Yes I think so

Fedupnagging · 10/05/2014 17:36

Thanks Blair. On closer inspection, the bags are either pre loved or have been kicking around a warehouse for a while as the descriptions mention scratches etc. I had my eye on this or
this but not sure now.

Lovely jacket Dry and great colour. Shame they don't do it in other colours as I'd love it in cream, pink or blue.

Yes, black is ok Shop - didn't we have a discussion about this a while back and iirc the MNV collective decreed black was ok.

shopafrolic · 10/05/2014 18:19

I'm going with tomato red Reiss dress, nude LKB florets, wicker LKB clutch, camel coat. Not in the mood for this at all.

santamarianovella · 10/05/2014 18:43

Sounds fab shop enjoy your time,

fedup I can't see the bags you linked, but you should be careful, the bags might be seconds, so avoid!

MarshaBrady · 10/05/2014 19:01

Justa I love that you wore tights as a top Grin

Fedup your outfits were fab. I can't see the bags, but does link to the site.

Shop sounds good, have fun.

Spent the day on Southbank, Tate Modern and Borough Market. Ds fell asleep on the bus home at 5pm. He's in bed now, hope he sleeps through! I am pooped too.

MarshaBrady · 10/05/2014 19:02

Dry they are very pretty dresses.

Blair my £100 off got extended too. I wonder if they'll wait two weeks (so people can't return) then start the preview.

Fedupnagging · 10/05/2014 19:52

Santa I wondered that so am not going to purchase.

Really must get ready as due out in 10 mins. Makeup is done but can't decide on outfit. It's so cold.

Have a good evening everyone.

Turquoiseblue · 10/05/2014 20:31

for Queen C

Turquoiseblue · 10/05/2014 20:48

enjoy the evening fedup,
Shop - lovely outfit too. Hope you feel ok for the evening.
MArsha - had a similar day, but home on the sofa watching Disney movies since 6.I love a lazy evening after a busy day. nice shiraz breathing and a cheese board ready for nibbles when dh gets home.

maradesbois · 10/05/2014 23:00

Hello all,

Catching up with thread after a busy couple of days. At a car thing with dh yesterday, v glam crowd. Saw a woman with matching coral birkin and tod's. Bit too matchy but loved the shoes. Also saw jodie Kidd who looked amazing.

Love your chat about the '90s. I was never that grungy but at uni in mid-late 90s loved the britpop years, tight t-shirts with long skinny skirts, shrunken levis jacket and vans/airwalk/Adidas gazelles. Also remember being a student in Italy and walking past the window of Gucci ogling that long white dress with the cutout if you know the one I mean. I used to go clubbing wearing a tiny skirt with long boots and a shirt, it had to be white, fitted and perfectly ironed.

My dream decade fashion-wise would be the early 1930s. Glamorous but simple silk evening dresses accessorised with Art Deco jewellery and a jaeger lecoultre cocktail watch, arriving in a lagonda for cocktails and jazz.

stokey sapphire engagement sounds lovely. My mil has a beautiful sapphire ring, I would like a tanzanite one day, a really dark one.

marsha thanks for trio advice the other day. The sa said to me need to put as little in as possible to keep the line, not sure about managing that & it is a big spend so am still pondering. Your day in London with ds sounds lovely, am looking forward to making the most of city life like that.

linus your dm sounds very glam as does your shopping trip. You are giving me bag envy!

shop your outfit for tonight sounds lovely, hope you are feeling better now.

lollipop hello and welcome to the thread!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/05/2014 23:00

fedup I thought you meant brandalley, obviously didn't read the bit about vintage properly! I think those bags must just be fairly old styles (and therefore "unfashionable" hence cheap, still nice of course!) so it's a bit cheeky of them to claim they have a "RRP".
Hope you had a fun night, you too shop. And I love those sofas!

Marsha I fully expect sale previews to begin while I'm on holiday... ah well J crew will still be cheaper!

Anyone got Eurovision on? Blush There was a hairy moment at the start of voting where Russia were winning for a bit. Everyone in the audience was booing!

QueenCadbury · 11/05/2014 08:00

Morning. Thanks for the jewellery site turq, some lovely stuff on there.

Feeling a little jaded after a boozy date night. It was so cold that I wore long sleeve navy blouse, black 7/8 trousers, black fishnet pop sox and black heeled dolly shoes.

Nipping to the shops today as have some things to return so will nip into coast to look at the sequin top. Not sure I can buy it though as dh noticed one of my new tops yesterday so is on high alert for new purchases!
Also our fence has blown over, need to find out if ours or neighbours but that could end up costing a lot. Is it windy everywhere or just here in SW?

Fedupnagging · 11/05/2014 08:19

Yes, windy here too and raining.

Sounds like you had a good night! I wore navy7/8's last night with 3/4 sleeve raspberry jumper and ballet flats. Don't have a hangover < smug>

If the coast top was the one linked a couple of days ago, I thought it looked lovely.

shopafrolic · 11/05/2014 08:31

Windy, wet and horrible here too. I'm still in my dressing gown. Papers and chill today I think.
Wedding reception was fun but I wasn't drinking as am still not great. Looked down at my arm halfway through the night and saw that I have a massive bruise where they took the bloods - heroin chic (not)!
Bride looked stunning, typical cheesy wedding music - good times, just could have done with feeling a bit better.

MarshaBrady · 11/05/2014 09:29

Is it wrong to be concerned about only a nice bucket to refrigerate? I think we'd need something more high powered.
