Shop I won't be coming - kids-free in Ibitza that weekend

And am having a shopping freeze after just buying our flights for the summer. First time since dd2 was over 2 so have had to pay for 4 of us, £1000 just to France!

Off to Wales on the 16 for a few days so wet weather holiday tips appreciated. Have shiny new Northface jacket and wellies at the ready.

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 11:42

Linus maybes are fine - I just need rough numbers for the agent.

Santa :( BIG SAD FACE. I so want to meet you! Next time?

I've managed to get someone to have DS this afternoon for a playdate so will head back to the hospital later.
Off to look at Outnet.

OneLittleLady · 08/05/2014 11:46

I'm a maybe too Shop ds has an event around that weekend so obviously he comes first

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 12:04

Oh One I thought you'd already booked your train ticket?

OneLittleLady · 08/05/2014 12:07

Not yet shop am waiting to to find out if DS's event is the same weekend. Should know by the end of this month and can then make plans

maradesbois · 08/05/2014 13:25

shop have pm'd you, am in!

marsha have been looking at the cobalt blue large size one. Orange sounds lovely. They had a fab yellow one too. What size is yours and how much do you fit in it? I like the idea of a smaller size bag for daytime.

linus think I prefer the trio, also think the price point is ok for celine. Have been trying to explain that to dh who thinks my idea of value for money has been skewed by our (temporary) glamorous location. Think you have trio and nano, which do you prefer?

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 13:34

20% off accessories at Atterley Road with ACCESS20 until 12th May. This seems to include shoes, bags, swimwear as week as jewellery etc. There are some lovely Soludos espadrilles.......(but I have 2 pairs already!)

QueenCadbury · 08/05/2014 13:44

stokey sounds like you're sorted with waterproof and wellies. You may want to add waterproof trousers into the mix too Grin. We've done many wet weeks in this country and just pack more trousers than you think you'll need unless you can get things dry. Also jumpers/fleece as likely to be cold if wet. If you're going for walks then a proper waterproof rucksack or a rain proof cover.

That cashmere jumper is gorgeous.

one hope you can make it. We need to celebrate with you.

Sleepwhenidie · 08/05/2014 13:52

Yes One, so looking forward to seeing you Smile

OneLittleLady · 08/05/2014 13:53

I'm working on it ladies. DP is just waiting for confirmation and the write up of the job offer but he's pretty set on it so it looks like i'm going to be spending a lot more time in London before moving there after my course!

Stokey · 08/05/2014 14:13

Thanks QueenC - am hoping I can get away without waterproof trousers , just plentiful pairs of normal ones. We won't be doing too much walking as the kids coming are aged 1-4.5 but am guessing there'll be some wet beach play.

Thanks for AR code Shop . Wish they had pics of pple wearing their jewellery to get a better idea of how it hangs.

Just heard of a house a few roads up from us that was bought - admittedly as a wreck - in December for £350k and is now on the market for £850k. Insanity.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2014 14:29

Mara I have the smallest size one. If I could get a new one I'd go for the light blue or the yellow, so hard! Then I might feel disloyal to the trusty orange Wink.

Santa what a shame! I hope you can make it to the next one. Would be lovely to meet you.

One I hope you can make it, it would be great to see you.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2014 14:29

Stokey that is crazy. How much do you think they spent on the work? £200-50k?

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2014 14:40

Ah meant to say Mara I put in keys, phone, cards and change. I don't bother with a wallet as I want it to stay as slim as possible.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/05/2014 16:15

Stokey that's a crazy increase! Do you think they'll get asking price though? The house next door to us is currently being done up from an awful state, but no idea if that's a developer or people moving in. Hopefully it's good for us either way.

Those of you with gigis, how comfortable are they please? I want to get a pair in the US - will I be able to wear them straight away for hours or is that wishful thinking? :)

Secretsquirrel13 · 08/05/2014 16:55

Blair yes they're very comfy.
Stokey the waterproof trousers are very unsightly but will save you from taking ten pairs of jeans. I agree with queenC having spent a few very wet weeks in wales.

libertychick · 08/05/2014 17:08

Blair I'd be so Shock if he was flirting. Really not the type. That said, I am probably to world's most useless person at detecting flirting and even worse when I do realise it happening as I just get completely tongue tied and mortified.

one I really hope you can make it to the MU.

LinusDKD · 08/05/2014 19:17

mara tough choice, I love both the Trio and the Nano.

I guess the Trio is more elegant and less bulky, plus you can detach the pouches to use as a clutch. I have never done this though.

You can detach the strap of the Nano as well and carry it in your hand as a small bag for evenings out. But overall I find the Nano to suit a more casual/sporty look.

What would you use it for?

LinusDKD · 08/05/2014 19:18

Oh and blair yes the Gigis are very comfy. I have never had a blister wearing them and I walked all over NY with them.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2014 19:27

I don't have Gigis but I think a few on here do.

Dry how was work?

Shop did you have enough time to do it?

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2014 19:29

Linus I haven't used it as a clutch either. The long strap us so handy even with a cocktail dress.

Fedupnagging · 08/05/2014 19:40

Blair wore my new gigis for the first time on Sunday and they were really comfortable. I am hoping to pick up another pair when we go to the US in the summer so will be keen to hear the best place in Vegas.

Sleep, that is a lovely offer. Obviously would bring fizz and food. (Not sure the state both would be in by the time I've crossed London though).

I hope you managed to get to the hospital for your blood test this afternoon Shop.

No links or fashion news as been really busy looking at stuff for the house (and spending £££) so haven't really looked much to avoid temptation. That said, will have a quick sneaky peak at AR shoes.

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2014 19:52

Marsha the storm has abated temporarily................

Turquoiseblue · 08/05/2014 20:00

Evening all

Stokey - that s about right for where I am too - great fun trying to get onto the market! But brilliant if you can get a wreck and do it up.
Am HmmHmm I won't be at MU sounds like it going to be fun (and stylish)

Marsha - a blue trio would be delicious !

Anyone have superga? Just got a pair so comfy, but so wide, am undecided if i ll keep or not. They re puckering as I tie them but I n not sure f it s only me that notices. Might pin for opinion - it s the ones with the sort of spotty leopard print it s them or ash Virgo s ( in black probably) coverse don't agree with meWink

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 20:05

Turq I have Superga and feel the same, they are too wide for me and as a result I don't wear them much. I should have sent them back at the time and ordered Converse instead (which seem a slimmer fit).
For those who were nagging me I've had my bloods done. :) Love you lot x
