We'd terrify them liberty Grin

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 21:17

Arf Liberty Grin

libertychick · 07/05/2014 21:24

Grin yes poor chaps - wouldn't be fair.

Today, my male, completely unobservant, work obsessed boss told me I looked 'very smart, very dressed up' Shock. I spent the rest of the day worrying about how he thinks I look normally that he felt he needed to comment...seriously, he is the last person I would ever expect to comment on my appearance!

For the record I wore cream Mango jacket, a white crew neck T, sparkly necklace, yellow skirt and M&S snakeskin flats

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 21:37

Fantastic outfit Liberty.

libertychick · 07/05/2014 21:41

Thanks Marsha. It's amazing the difference buying those two Mango jackets has made to my wardrobe options. How did I get to 40 without realising before now that a jacket is the key to looking a bit smarter?

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 21:47

I could definitely do with one. Next project I get I should get something.

libertychick · 07/05/2014 21:57

I'm really impressed with the quality of the Mango ones and not expensive - the cream one was £35. What about the lovely V Bruno one you bought a while ago on the Outnet? Do you wear that for work?

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 22:02

I do, that was a bargain. I don't want to spend much but I do need a collar.

justasecond · 07/05/2014 22:10

Hi everyone!
Marsha it was me who tried the Oasis pink flats. I am usually a 7 but they come up quite big and the 6 fitted better so as long as you should be ok with the 6's. They really are a lovely colour.
Liberty great outfit. I love those colours together and that jacket is lovely, might go amd take a look as there is a cream jacket shaped hole in my wardrobe...
Blair nothing named after me on shopstyle (my real name that is) however there are boilers and catering packs of frozen chicken fillets with my name on them Grin
Queenc hope you got on ok with your volunteering work, what a great thing to do!
Shop hope you start to feel better soon Flowers

libertychick · 07/05/2014 22:12

I'll keep an eye out! Bed for me - night all.

Drywhiteplease · 07/05/2014 22:22

Oh ..... Work politics got worse today and DH is away so have been reflecting on it on my own with a glass of Shiraz and my conclusion is to keep my head down, ignore and keep my moth shut unless I'm talking to 6yr olds
And.....thanks to whoever mentioned TK Maxx for sunglasses....got a pair of Guess. Not expensive or premium but they really suit my face so I'm rather chuffed.

Holiday wardrobe so far;
Flip flops.....check
Hat for posing .....check
Sunglasses, ditto......check

Hugs to you Dry xxx workplace politics can be sooo stressful. Thanks

maradesbois · 07/05/2014 22:52

liberty fab work outfit, not surprised it got compliments. Love the jacket and yellow skirt.

santa lovely flats, all the talk of pointy flats on here is making me want some too.

sleep that's a really generous offer re the mu, would be lovely and am more than happy to bring fizz and food but of course don't feel obliged especially as you don't know all of us.

I passed the celine store again earlier and did more ogling of cobalt bags in the window. The trio really is calling but also saw a girl in the street with nano in that colour and looked really good.

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 07:57

Morning all.
Dry I was talking about counting the number of people who are coming to the MU.
So....

CAN EVERYONE WHO IS COMING TO THE JULY 5TH MEET UP PLEASE PM ME SAYING "I'M IN" IN THE TITLE

Thanks ever so
x

Sleepwhenidie · 08/05/2014 08:56

I think I know enough of you to hope you'd help me turf out any new MU people who turn out to be psychos Wink. And sorry, I do mean 5th of course Smile

Why don't we continue with the search for a venue while I chat to DH about it, if the weather is rubbish he won't fancy a festival but I think he'd agree to go somewhere else for a few hours Smile. I'm not worried about the stress, I'm sure we could all pitch in a bit, it would be an easy solution to the eating/mingling thing and then we could go for drinks, choose somewhere depending on weather, beer gardens etc.

dry will you be poking around my bedroom .

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2014 09:04

Sleep if we do then we'd all bring enough stuff (food/ fizz) so you don't have to do anything, well, other than look uber glam. But we can keep looking for a venue too, just in case.

Shop hope you got time to go to the test this morning.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2014 09:07

Mara if you got a trio which colour would you go for? My orange one got another compliment this morning, it's a few years old now but still goes down well (and a bit tatty in places).

Dry good luck today, work politics are the pits.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/05/2014 09:42

PM'd!

Both ideas sound good to me, Sleep that's such a generous offer and of course I'd be happy to chip in with whatever would be needed, food, drink or a contribution to a kitty in advance. On the other hand tapas is great for big groups too and private dining would be ideal.

Sorry I can't be an awful lot of help with suggestions, as I don't live centrally I never really go to the same places repeatedly so don't really feel I can "recommend" anywhere. (country bumpkin)

ps Don't think I'm a psycho Grin

liberty was he flirting? He was probably just trying to say you looked extra nice but in a "boss" kind of way. Outfit sounds fab so no wonder :)

dry and shop good luck today.

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 09:56

I went to the hospital but it was crazy busy and I couldn't get parked so I'll have to go back this afternoon with DS in tow - do you think he'll freak out?

An ex events colleague has given me details of a company who find venues for just this type of thing so once you all email me so I can get a definite headcount I'll set them to work on a venue and then we can decide whether what works best.
So I'll keep adding this to my posts for now:

CAN EVERYONE WHO IS COMING TO THE JULY 5TH MEET UP PLEASE PM ME SAYING "I'M IN" IN THE TITLE

:)
