Stokey wow that's incredible on the house. There's a house near us that's for sale at exactly the same price we bought ours for, 6 months. Ours is 20% bigger in terms of square footage. I am so glad we bought out of cycle from bonus time in the City.

I have no fashion news at all! I wore a trouser suit today, it's too big for me and in hindsight ill fitting. Wore it with a turquoise flowery blouse from TM Lewin which again I think is a size too big. The only good thing about today were accessories......Thomas Sabo charm watch, Boodles raindance ring, blue Elizabeth Cole swaroski flower bangle, Balenciaga City and RB patent pumps. Bit of a collection but was desperate attempt to rescue a bad outfit!Grin

QueenCadbury · 08/05/2014 20:54

novice your best bits are always the accessories Wink
dry glad things are more settled
shop well done
liberty has your esprit order arrived yet?

No fashion/shopping news from me. I'm enjoying all my new stuff and have realised that I don't really need much else although I could probrably do either another pair of shorts if it's to be a hot summer .

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2014 20:55

Have been browsing trying to buy on Zara website ....is it me or is it a bit temperamental? Not playing ball, almost as if the Frugal fairy is telling me not to buy ....boooooooo!
The thing is, the more it won't let me, the more I need the blazer....so I'm going yo try the Mac, could be an IPad thing.

I have wide feet so should maybe look at Superga to replace my beloved tatty old converse. love these, these, these. Hmm so many fab colours.

Glad you had your bloods done finally Shop.

Today I wore a pair of wide legged floral trousers, from Autograph, years old and had so many positive comments. They were very nearly binned last week.

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2014 21:09

Mac did it......so, I may have ordered this back
Love this and the back, would go with loads but don't trust myself with cream jackets and red wine
I have a style don't i? Round neck, nipped in.....rut moi? Grin

QueenC the espirit order arrived today. It's all going back (as anticipated by Fedup). I CBA going back on the site to do links but basically it was all a bit too floaty for me. And a couple of the tops I did think looked ok on were really sheer and I find wearing cami's underneath tops a bit fiddly especially for day wear.

I also picked the demin tunic dress up in HoF today. Not a keeper either - too much material around the middle making me look - well there is no nice word for it - rather fat! Shame as the neckline and colour were perfect.

So after all that I consoled myself by buying this necklace in Coast and this Zara necklace as recommended by Belinda AWO. I've been trying them on this evening and I will return the Coast one as it looks great provided I stand completely still!! Any movement and it twists around so it would drive me nuts. The Zara one I am undecided about. I think it looks good Confused But it's much bigger than any other necklace I own so I'm trying to get used to how it looks and feels on.

libertychick · 08/05/2014 21:22

Oh is anyone is an earring person? These blue ones in Coast are gorgeous

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 21:27

Fedup there are Superga on the AR accessories pages so you could use the 20% off code I posted earlier if you see any you like....here

LollipopViolet · 08/05/2014 21:29

Ooooh, this looks like an interesting thread.

I've just started wearing makeup daily, and am slowly going to revamp my wardrobe. I'm going from big, baggy, comfy "fat girl" clothes to rock chick.

Hopefully.

If it doesn't bankrupt me.

That being said, my entire makeup kit cost £19 from Tesco, thank you Sleek Makeup! I have an eyeliner from them, mascara, a lipgloss from another brand (Collection I think) and the Sleek "Storm" palette of eyeshadows. Seems to be working so far, I don't feel overwhelmed by the change.

Might go for new jewellery next - any suggestions?

Turquoiseblue · 08/05/2014 21:36

Thanks shop ..... Am going to have a try on session and get dh s opinion - he won't like re pattern anyways thoGrin
Glad you got your bloods done. Hope you get an answer to why you ve been feeling below par

Fed up they had some lovely superga in store today, can't link but there s a lovely cream lace ones I would wreck them
Dry - not a rut, you just know what works Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/05/2014 21:39

Hi lollipop welcome :) how nice to be planning lots of new things. What sort of jewellery do you like?

Thanks everyone on gigi feedback, am reassured! Fedup I will certainly report back, though I'm expecting to just pay the standard price which is $65 (have been researching!) - about £42 with sales tax. I'm expecting to just find them in Neiman Marcus.

liberty the Zara necklace is gorgeous, I love their jewellery. Shame about the other purchases. Yes, hopefully your boss wasn't actually flirting!

Dry both the jackets are great. A few years back Zara did a similar zip-waist one in yellow which some celebs wore and it sold out, I wanted it so much and they were on ebay for silly money.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/05/2014 21:41

Zara yellow jacket... still in demand and they even made fakes! I still love it! But need an M.

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2014 21:44

Blair I love clothes with zips! Claudia W wore a fab dress with zip waist on the sewing Bee wondered whether it was Zara.

Welcome Lollipop....not only an interesting thread but fun too. We just like fashion...anything. All have our own styles and budgets which makes for a great fashion forum. Are you on Pinterest? Shop will hug you in a minute....brace yourself........

I love my Gigis (thanks to the jean/Gigi Queen Anni I am a total convert and can't wait to get mine on again)

libertychick · 08/05/2014 21:45

Welcome lollipop

Keep an eye out for posts and links by Sleepwhenidie - she does rock chick brilliantly! And you may as well be warned in advance, regular posting/lurking on this thread could bankrupt you Grin

Fedup and Turq I really like Superga and have a pink suede pair that I must dig out as I haven't worn them in ages. I'm getting a bit bored with my converse.

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2014 21:47

Thank you Turquoise x

Welcome Lollipop - what kind of styles do you like? Where do you tend to shop? Are you looking for necklaces or something else? Questions, questions! :)
The cream jacket looks a little thin Dry? But I love the other one. Perfect for you.

shopafrolic · 08/05/2014 21:49

I no longer hug or lick faces of newbies. Sorry.

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2014 21:52

Oh and Liberty shame about your delivery and the dress???but I particularly love the Zara bling!

CAR NEWS....ii added another scratch on the rear passenger wheel arch this evening . Bloody wall getting in my way. the Porsche Cayenne got through before me, obv a much better driver than me Sad DS "mum you've hit the wall"
Me " another one bites the dust!"
DS " I can't believe you're so cool about that!"Shock
Me " another scrape to add to the collection"
When I get the Aston Martin I won't be so calm which is why I drive the small, cheap car and DH does the posh model Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/05/2014 21:53

I know Dry, I'd still consider buying one from ebay. Zara need to make it again, maybe in a different colour though Wink
I love zips too, especially on bags. Case in point and do I hear my future Pashli calling me from the US...?!

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2014 21:56

Lovely Blair

Fedupnagging · 08/05/2014 21:56

That yellow jacket is gorgeous. Am also a fan of the shorter slightly fitted jacket. It suits the vertically challenged I find.

Hi lollipop. there are always lots of lovely links on here. Do Tesco's still do the clear nail varnish 'No More Yellow'. I thought it was a brilliant but not seen it recently.

Shame you sent all your tops back Liberty think of the money you have saved (ish)

Am not supposed to be buying anything but this t would look great with white trousers on holiday.

Also now have my eye on this dress.

Thanks Shop, will have another look at AR. Think they sent me a code too.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/05/2014 21:57

Oh dear about the car Dry, I take it it's not bigger than a Cayenne? Wink

I looked again at the cream zip Zara jacket as it is really very similar, but I don't think the boob pockets would be good for me Confused

Fedupnagging · 08/05/2014 21:58

I'd never find anything in a bag with so many zips Blair!
