Lovely sweater Santa and I love Topaz's wedding outfit - dress is gorgeous. Another person very relieved you found your ring Novice!

I'm living in the wrong part of London (way, way out west). DH and I often wish we had just kept going and bought around somewhere like Marlow instead. We're too far out to take advantage of central London but still have all the traffic, noise and schools competition. Ah well, Australia calls Smile. We are country bumpkins really! You can take the girl out of the west of Ireland and all that.

Very busy day today, rearranged the spare room (which is really MY room, houses all my clothes etc) to make way for a study space which lead to a massive declutter I thought I had already decluttered

libertychick · 05/05/2014 21:53

TK Maxx good for a sunnies try on session Dry.

Secretsquirrel13 · 05/05/2014 22:27

Dry yes to tk maxx they had lanvin, tom ford and others when I was there last week pondering a highly flammable velour track suit GrinGrin
I may be going back tomorrow for another reason so can report which brands they have. As for the sunglasses themselves oh I love a good bug eye look!

BrandyAlexander · 05/05/2014 22:42

Sorry for the heart attacks! Shop yes the raindance. Think I wore it to a MU once?

I will let you all into a secret. I have lost my engagement ring twice.BlushBlush First time I was newly engaged and went for dinner with a friend. I went to the loo on the way out and took it off to wash hands. I was 5 mins up the road before I realised!!Shock Second time was a few years later, I was at the gym. I took it off to put body cream on but left wedding band on. I left the gym, got into car, and had driven up the road and was in traffic before I realised. I have never ever crapped myself as much as the 5 minutes it took me to get back there.Shock I actually think dh would kill me if he knew!!! Shudder.

Anyway onto far more pleasant thoughts! I am sooooo excited.Grin My mum is going overseas (long haul) this month and this evening I have cashed in some air miles to send her first class there and business class back. It's a new thing BA have introduced. The last few months have been tough and imagining her in luxury on that flight out will actually be one of the happiest days of my life. I am actually crying just thinking about it as I type.Smile

libertychick · 05/05/2014 22:44

Ahhh Novice, that is so lovely. Does she know yet or will it be a surprise?

BrandyAlexander · 05/05/2014 22:48

Yes she does know. As she asked me to book her flights for her and then the lovely guy at BA said if she flew 2 days later she could go first class. Just random luck that they had availability!

Drywhiteplease · 06/05/2014 07:56

Novice you wore it to the MU last Sept because I remember trying it on!! unashamed I am, beware this year's attendeesGrin and how lovely for your mother. I really think Novice that with the amount of bling you wear/loose you need a jewelrey security guard like the A list Stars when they borrow Diamonds for the Oscars!

Am wearing new shoes with red and white striped fitted sweater (Breton slash neck style) black a line short skirt, black patent skinny belt, opaques. Bit wintry and pleasingly matchy Wink

Santa loved the jumper when you pinned it! good buy.

LinusDKD · 06/05/2014 08:20

That is such a lovely thing to do novice! I bet she's going to love it!

Those shoes are great dry and I like the sound of your outfit.

DC are home today so I am wearing my SAHM uniform: Leigh skinnies and J Crew ls tee

When I go out I will probably wear my J Crew leopard print flats to make things a bit more interesting.

QueenCadbury · 06/05/2014 09:33

Ugh, why does it take so long to recover nowadays from a boozy weekend Grin

novice you are a nightmare. Thank goodness you've always managed to find things though. Lovely thing to do for your mum.

I was admiring this silver bag and shoes at the school gate today.

QueenCadbury · 06/05/2014 09:35

Oh and I'm starting my voluntary work this afternoon and going to visit a client. Wondering if jeans are too scruffy to turn up in? May have to put trousers on to give me a bit of confidence. It's been a while since I've talked to people with cancer so I'm feeling a lit bit nervous so need all the confidence I can get.

shopafrolic · 06/05/2014 09:47

Lovely for your mum NOvice how fab.
Loads of Marant on the Outnet today.....
I'm off to the docs at 10.20. Wish me luck!

MarshaBrady · 06/05/2014 09:49

That's great QueenC, go for the trousers, even if to feel different to sahm days, then you can switch back to jeans when you know you'll feel comfortable. Good luck

You too shop at the docs.

Novice lovely thing to do.

QueenCadbury · 06/05/2014 09:49

met gala dresses to drool over. I'm not looking properly as I must do housework...

MarshaBrady · 06/05/2014 09:50

Santa so glad you got that gorgeous jumper.

LinusDKD · 06/05/2014 10:07

shop good luck! And maybe ask to be referred to a specialist.

Good luck to you too queenc!

Stokey · 06/05/2014 10:13

Novice that is a lovely thing to do for DM, and glad you found your beautiful ring.

Am a bit late to the London talk but am in the northeast, previously scummy now increasingly hipster. When we were looking to move, what I found interesting was that everyone seems to love the area of London they end up in.
What is good about where we are is all the regeneration (and the fact that it is still marginally affordable!). We went to two new playgrounds this weekend which were both great and have the Olympic park just down the road with all its new facilities and Westfield helps

Good luck this afternoon QueenC, really great thing to be doing, am sure they'll just be happy to speak to someone with knowledge whatever you wear.

shopafrolic · 06/05/2014 10:18

Good luck QueenC you'll be amazing whatever you wear but trousers may up your confidence.

Stokey · 06/05/2014 10:20

Good luck at DR Shop hope you get something sorted.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/05/2014 11:34

Hope it goes well QueenC, I'm sure you'll be great at it.

Shop how was docs?

Beautiful jumper santa, so classic. I have one of the C+P cashmere jumpers (just an outnet special!) and they are so soft and lovely.

novice how lovely that you can do that for your mum, sounds like she really deserves it (don't all mums!)

It's someone's birthday at work today and I've just had a piece of choc fudge cake and will be having a burger at lunch. It's supposed to be a fast day Blush

MarshaBrady · 06/05/2014 11:35

ok you could take off the sunnies, and a couple of things, maybe with a cream silk blouse. But print skirt with camel coat. Dry a chic version of this for you.

Shop how did it go?

MarshaBrady · 06/05/2014 11:36

Blair swap for tomorrow!

Stokey our area is like that, used to be very down and out, now up and coming Grin

AmberNectarine · 06/05/2014 11:51

I almost lost my engagement ring on my hen night novice. I was dancing and it literally flew off my finger in this dark nightclub. I was lucky to have found it. Longest (and drunkest) five minutes of my life.

MarshaBrady · 06/05/2014 11:51

Met Gala dresses. (DM link best pics usually)

Hmm Lupita, not right this time.

Love Emma Stone

VB overdone the sculpting make up.

Some corkers in there!

Stokey · 06/05/2014 12:01

We were looking SE too Marsha along the shiny new East London line, which felt close enough to our flat near Dalston not to be too far away. Ended up north as found a house and fell in love but could have easily ended up at the other end!

Quite like VB from the front but don't think the back zip is doing her any favours, and Rihanna manages to make even Cara D look a bit weighty next too her. Kim's dress none too flattering either.
Blake Lively looks great. But a lot of see-through, netty stuff that I just don't get.

shopafrolic · 06/05/2014 12:12

Docs have given me some different drugs and are sending me for blood tests. Go back again in a week.
I'm trying to Pin a bag I like on the Outnet but it says the site is blocked because of suspicious activity? Weird.
