Come and join us for friendly fashion chat. Some of our glasses are empty because we're trying to loose weight, but were still happy, non judgemental, flippant and welcoming lot. We love new visitors (ESP Shop who will hug you)

lol Dry I was just coming on to post that did a quick try on and it would appear that dh has the same taste as you. The arms on the dress went down like lead balloons. Grin

Since you love the other dress, and it is very reduced, you should buy it. For sure. As long as you can return it.

MarshaBrady · 25/03/2014 20:00

And there you have! xpost. Grin Is that the one, it is lovely. Adore the long one too.

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 20:03

Dry just for future reference, 4 minutes is not enough time for us to respond between question, and purchase Grin

MarshaBrady · 25/03/2014 20:04

arf! Yep.

MarshaBrady · 25/03/2014 20:04

Cracking me up. You're a fast mover Dry.

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 20:07

Now she's got her Disco all shopping rules are out of the window!

MarshaBrady · 25/03/2014 20:23

God is part of the asos test repacking the clothes in a ripped open plastic bag? I'm used to the outnet! etc

MarshaBrady · 25/03/2014 20:24

Dress is going back. The sleeves, too much going on, and probably better for me when I was 22.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/03/2014 20:25

I love the dress Dry, don't think sleeveless is too much of a risk for the end of June. 3/4 sleeves probably aren't summery enough, esp in navy.

My sister had a bad experience (quality problems) with some Jones boots this winter so I won't ever buy from them.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/03/2014 20:29

Lol Marsha, forgot to say I love the two sweaters and agree the dress is very pretty but if it's not perfect it needs to go back. At least asos are good on free returns.

libertychick · 25/03/2014 20:54

Interesting ‘normcore’ link Shop. The people who look best in it though are inevitably tall, willowy and gorgeous. It’s a bit ‘look at me, I’m so gorgeous I don’t have to try’. I need a little bit more embellishment Smile

I love both Outnet links especially the Erdem skirt. Like Dry I’d love to get an Erdem dress someday. You are on fire today Shop - I also like the link to weddings and have pinned the Topshop occasion coat – lovely.

Great shopping Umlauf and thanks for the Indie and Cold link – always good to find a new label and I like the look of some of their dresses – as if I need more temptation.

Well done on the sweaters Marsha. I am now debating the Ganni one – possibly will go for it if my AR tops don’t work out. Shame about the dress, it’s so pretty.

Dry love the dress and Grin at the shopping speed but are bare shoulders allowed at RA?

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2014 21:00

Marsha the long is very me, not buying obv.

Shop Grin you know I'm v impulsive.... But the rate of returns at the mo is very high. Saving and buying my disco was the high point shopping wise this season so far.....I'm really not falling in love with a lot right now, which is a good thing.
liberty shoulders are ok as long as not strapless and straps are no thinner than 1" ...... Might offend someone with bare shoulders Shock

I'm obviously confusing RA and church Dry Grin

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 21:30

It must be the meds liberty. I've got my fashion head back! :)

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 21:31

Good call on the dress I think Marsha

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2014 21:37

I love it Shop when someone on here dresses us....interesting to see what they come up with, and funny how we all know each others' style too.

I can only do the people I've met though Dry. Did you see I didn't hit the spot for Umlauf and Linus....?

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 21:49

novice another PM

maradesbois · 25/03/2014 22:00

umlauf am looking for white jeans too, was going to just go for topshop leigh but would be interested to know if you find others in the meantime that aren't too £££.

marsha great bargains on the asos sweaters. Perfect for spring. Think you made a good call on the dress, if its not quite right you'll never wear it & didn't seem to match your style based on other things you've pinned recently.

dry RA, how fabulous. Looks like you've answered your own question re dress! I hate feeling pressured into occasion wear buys but you seem to be a pro! Love the long dress, gorgeous shape and colour.

shopafrolic · 26/03/2014 07:34

poor Gwynnie and Chris

Drywhiteplease · 26/03/2014 07:52

mara I can do smart, work and occasion wear adore dresses and feel the most me in one it's smart casual and casual dressing that I sometimes find tricky.

Morning!

shop we'll have a Skype conference where I model all my clothes for you so you can see what my 'style' is! Wink

Or you just link to the clothes you think will suit dry but in 'cooler' colours! Grin

dry that C&P dress is soo comfortable and washes really well. Go for it! you can't wear it to RA though

All this talk about white jeans makes me want to wear my TS Baxters I bought last year in the sales!

Wearing my grey Leighs today with a cobalt J Crew ls Vintage tee and my bikers (which I haven't worn for weeks as the weather was so nice). Yawn!

shopafrolic · 26/03/2014 08:13

YESSS!!!!! Linus Skype is the answer! Although I'll probably spend my time looking at my double chins and complaining that the webcam is making me look fat! Wink
Can you relink the C&P dress?
Wearing my GAP khakis today, neon yellow J Crew vest (can only use for layering as is quite thin and the cut reveals bra straps which I don't like) with an old grey Whistles quilted sweatshirt. UGGS on ATM, Jalouse later. Double yawn - hurry up Spring.
Am getting a spray tan tomorrow night for this wedding on Friday - hope I don't get tangoed. I haven't had one for years but my legs are way too pasty.
DS still has a horrible tummy as a result of this hideous cold we all have so another day at home for us today. I slipped on the tiled bathroom floor this morning (DH leaves puddles everywhere) and have wrenched my back so will have to take things easy. Hopefully Pilates tonight will ease it.

MarshaBrady · 26/03/2014 08:47

Morning little rays of sunshine.

Feel good about sending the dress back, it wasn't really my style. It would be nicer on someone else.

I am now after:

White shorts to go with new James Perse top (wardrobe creep, new item = more things)

Still after bleached out jeans - but not £££ fp, more like outnet / sales prices.

A tshirt - like the Maje one Liberty linked (was it Maje? I've forgotten, the colourful one at Matches), but really at a sale.

And still need a dress - probably Liberty, with the voucher.

Can you sense a theme here Grin
