Come and join us for friendly fashion chat. Some of our glasses are empty because we're trying to loose weight, but were still happy, non judgemental, flippant and welcoming lot. We love new visitors (ESP Shop who will hug you)

Lovely new thread & great summary Dry Grin

Loving the links Shop especially the ones you chose for Liberty

Very tempted by the Issa shirt but really should be looking for dress for wedding next month

OneLittleLady · 25/03/2014 11:42

No worries shop I'll measure it later and see how it compares to my usual sizes. Must be some info somewhere on the internet Smile

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 12:52

What to wear to a wedding
I'm so bloody on trend in my gold shoes it hurts Grin

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 12:57

OneLittleLady · 25/03/2014 13:00

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 13:01

Perhaps there's a Vogue employee lurking too! :)

MarshaBrady · 25/03/2014 13:01

lol Shop I know Grin

Umlauf · 25/03/2014 13:32

Love love 'LOVE that erdem skirt you picked for liberty , shop . The trousers are really pretty but I'm pear shaped so avoid light coloured patterns down there!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/03/2014 13:39
Grin

mara sorry I wasn't clear, totally agree with you. All shops need to follow NAP's example. (And matches on the packaging front, ha!)

I didn't know that about man made vs cotton prices, interesting that they aren't necessarily so different. High street cotton is usually really thin these days though - you don't really notice but the other day I was in topshop looking at the vintage stuff and it was obviously nicer fabrics. So good on one for buying vintage :)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/03/2014 13:42

The skirt you picked for Decam is my favourite, have a similar navy one from Mango that I wear all the time and need a replacement for! Beautiful links, love a good outnet browse!

OneLittleLady · 25/03/2014 14:03

blair I'm quite happy to buy vintage, I like to look a bit quirky. it can be tough to find things to fit though as I find vintage sizing different, not just in size but in cut as well. I've seen a few bits I quite fancy but need to go in with my tape measure to see if they will fit as there's no changing room in the shop and if I buy online, I need to see measurements as some places have an all sales are final thing going on.

Umlauf · 25/03/2014 14:17

So, in Zara (quite disappointing) I picked up very flattering high waisted shorts , an ecru sweatshirt (not on their website) and this lime knit which goes perfectly with this nicole fahri skirt I have had for 8 years but just rediscovered in my wardrobe changing from winter to summer. Also found two new shops I hadn't before ventured into, indi and cold and Cortefiel. Cortefiel especially had the most beautiful sandals, had I not bought the navy Gigis I would have spent lots in there!

Also tried on white jeans (hideous cheap and see through) but loved the look so now I'm in the market for a good pair.

Following your denim dress blog/discussion amber I absolutely LOVE this House of Holland one and can imagine you in it!

santamarianovella · 25/03/2014 14:23

blair i turned down that job,due to conflicting work schedules,Wink

OK,... I'm not the STJ just the EU,special envoy on a mission to introduce fine Italian craftsmanship, specifically fine cashmere and footwear

Fabulous shopping Umlauf.

Now asos is here and it's not bad, I quite like it. Am linking for your thoughts.

Antipodium silk dress. A bit prettier than I usually go for. I like the leather trim but the waist is a little high on me.

Love this James Perse jumper. A bit Shock at original price, but great for that discount. Feels very Springy.

And this is Ganni jumper is good for the weekend.

Feel free to talk me out of any of them!

Umlauf · 25/03/2014 16:06

Sorry marsha they are all keepers! Especially the dress, it is so different. I love the back. And the colours, and the jumpers are both useful.

shopafrolic · 25/03/2014 16:16

Love the James Perse, the Ganni is a good basic but if the waist on the dress is too high then I'd send it back.......

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2014 16:36

Marsha I love both jumpers, very wearable. Not sure about the dress, the sleeves bother me but I'm not terribly directional
shop love my dress and skirt. Love Erdem, will but a dress one day. That Normcore black outfit is completely the opposite in every way of anything I'd ever wear, but very cool on a tall and willowy model.
Umlauf Grin oh poor you! the joys of young children. Princess b has a great stylist. She dresses so well now, and dresses her age which is lovely.
Mara I object to paying £££ for mmf. I can't stand acrylic and never buy it. Polyester is a bit clammy but I do buy it but would not spend money on principle. I wish there were more natural fibres on the high st

Evening!

Normal service has resumed Chez Linus, yay!

You are funny dry! Actually the fishmonger was a tiny young girl so she would have had quite a job rubbing my tighs. Wink

shop I like the outnet dress but I prefer the Erdem one you linked for dry. Love the print of that one.

MarshaBrady · 25/03/2014 19:37

Thanks for feedback. I'll show dh when he's home. I suspect he'll say the same.

Umlauf I could see you in the dress actually!

Liberty meant to say, love the DvF and the top.

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2014 19:38

See Linus similar taste Wink, I was hovering over the Ch and p stripe dress you've got....still in stock Hmm

Men's fashion....DH, always a Churches man for work, had a very bad Cs from them a couple of years ago and has found the new shoes he got not as comfortable as usual. Reckons the quality isn't the same any more did they sell out to Prada people?. Any way a few weeks ago he went nuts in jones the Bootmaker not as prestigious I know but is raving about the quality and comfort of their shoes. Hmm what's going on with our British brands?

Help ladies.
Right RA outfit.
I'm planning to wear a dress I already have, and love. Duchess silk satin, with 3/4 sleeves.
Have seen a dress I also love now very reduced as an alternative. It is sleeveless, same colour and fabric so hat and accessories would go.
It's end June...could be chilly (sleeved one good) could be heat wave (unlikely)...... Do I buy SS one or just wear 3/4 sleeve and stop being stupid. WWMD?

Drywhiteplease · 25/03/2014 19:58

oops may have bought can always send back, but would get a lot of wear anyway.
