Come and join us for friendly fashion chat. Some of our glasses are empty because we're trying to loose weight, but were still happy, non judgemental, flippant and welcoming lot. We love new visitors (ESP Shop who will hug you)

Morning!

My gorgeous cardicoat arrived today (Shopbop deliver really quickly) and I love it. Exactly what I need at the moment when the weather is not cold anymore but I still need to wear something when I go outside.

shop passport pictures with a three year old?

DS woke me up at 5.30 again today. Not impressed!
DH is home again tonight so he can deal with DS tomorrow morning Smile

LinusDKD · 02/04/2014 10:25

Don't these want to make you go on holiday?

I'm ok thanks Shop and turq managed to sleep but something must have been bothering me because at some point during the night, I got out of bed, stripped the duvet cover off, put it in the wash basket and got back into bed! I don't remember doing but since I'm the only one here, it must have been me and I am known for doing strange things in my sleep when I'm upset/distressed

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 11:41

Excellent Linus! re cardi not 5.30am. Too early. I need to get the Marant Etoile one out again, haven't used it for ages.

French Connection jumper looks good. Not my size.

Or Equipment more ££ but another 10% off.

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 11:42

Turq everyone is normal and very lovely don't worry. The main thing is having a laugh, which we do.

maradesbois · 02/04/2014 11:43

Morning,

one sorry about your horrible experience, it must have been terrifying. At least you managed to get some sleep albeit broken.

turq oh no, hope my comments haven't put you off coming to mu, everyone on here sounds so lovely & completely non-judgmental. I'm not glamazing (great word!) myself but can't wait to meet you all in rl.

liberty have just been in to local boots to ask about that hairbrush but they don't have any. They tried to flog me the babyliss big hair but am going to wait for the other one, read a thread on here about the big hair and reviews seemed a bit mixed.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/04/2014 11:46

Morning all!

mara Shock I am an accountant! Blush Grin

Lovely outfit Dry. It feels really summery today.

turq I don't know re Pashli! May still get something else altogether, I have 8 weeks to decide. Will depend on what is in the actual shops but there seem to be 3-4 P Lim stockists so hopefully there'll be lots of choice.

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 11:47

lol Blair Grin

OneLittleLady · 02/04/2014 11:55

turq you should definitely come to MU, I am so not glamorous at all, I turned up a sweaty mess at my first one as I'd gone the wrong way so had to double back, find a map and then eventually got there!

Stokey · 02/04/2014 11:56

Turq I'm wearing my snakeskin brogues today too with DvF dress. Am not sure how I lived without them. Not very summery but have lots of meetings & it is freezing in our conference room.

Did anyone see today's Stylist? Proclaiming the "Death of the Heel" in dramatic fashion on the front cover.

They did have pics of some lovely flats inside - these if you're feeling flush and soen very pretty Clarks slippers which I can't find online.

And having read it, walking down Piccadilly at 9 this morning I only passed one woman in heels. Apart from that it was all ballerinas, brogues, boots and loafers.

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 12:00

Shop pm

Stokey I am considering selling some Kors heels, very high, but I can't quite bring myself to do it.

Stokey · 02/04/2014 12:15

Marsha I'm sure they'll be back

And it would be a very different picture on the heel front at 9pm I would imagine, can't picture the ladies who dine in Mayfair without their heels!

shopafrolic · 02/04/2014 12:15

Passport photo was surprisingly painless. Having my car hit while parked outside my house this morning two days before we go on holiday.... not so painless!

shopafrolic · 02/04/2014 12:16

I tried brogues - don't work on my size 7.5 feet!

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 12:16

Oh no! What's the damage?

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 12:21

True Stokey. I do love them, but they are pretty fierce for me and I very rarely wear them. But then perhaps I should just keep.

Arh does anyone else have stuff like this? You know it's on the edge of your style, but you can't quite get rid of it. What is it?

OneLittleLady · 02/04/2014 12:32

Oh no Shop is there much damage?

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 12:34

American V top and C/E rolled skinnies here.

First thought is that they look excellent! Excited. No pocket see-through. Great quality. Will try on later, fingers crossed for a good fit too.

shopafrolic · 02/04/2014 12:35

Enough One - and I need to sort repairs and hire car. Grrr.
Does anyone have a Boden code? Need to order DS some emergency swim shorts on special delivery......

QueenCadbury · 02/04/2014 12:36

Pasted from the skater shoe/blogger thread...

We kind of do have a MN 'style blog' - The MNV thread is pretty much it already and is attracting interest from brands and stores. I know

Eh? Is there something i don't know? I wasn't aware of attracting any interest Confused. I really can't see anyone interested in the ramblings of a bunch of random women withering on about clothes cars, kids and anything else

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 12:37

I thought that a bit odd too Queen! Not sure what it's meant to mean.

We are proudly no sales / advertising here, it's one of the things I love most about the thread. As well as you guys of course.

QueenCadbury · 02/04/2014 12:41

Whoever asked if I'd ordered a spring jacket this gap one was delivered today. I ordered the uk 6 and 8 but probrably could have got away with the uk4. The lining is VERY bright but as you can't see it once it's on I can live with that. I'm happy with it, it doesn't look as smart as my navy blazer which I like as it's just for outings with dc and it can go in the washing machine.

QueenCadbury · 02/04/2014 12:42

I also ordered this nightshirt which is going straight back. Totally and utterly see through. Dh would love it Grin

QueenCadbury · 02/04/2014 12:45

marsha I rarely wear any of my heels but I keep them all for those rare occasions when I do need them. Although by then they are usually dated!

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2014 12:54

Yep I keep them for rare occasions. these are the ones that I keep trying to wear but often don't. They are pretty full on.

'Proudly' may have been a bit formal Grin, I mean god everywhere people are trying to sell you stuff, this is the one place that it doesn't happen. It's brill.
