Come and join us for friendly fashion chat. Some of our glasses are empty because we're trying to loose weight, but were still happy, non judgemental, flippant and welcoming lot. We love new visitors (ESP Shop who will hug you)

Morning all! So that night didn't go quite as planned.
I wore my Me&em Grecian teal dress in the end with the gold shoes and clutch. Felt fab. DS was great with the babysitter. Left house no issue. Got in car, half way there I go hot and shaky and start feeling really bad. DH had to stop the car and I was violently sick! Got to the venue. Tidied myself up, went in to the wedding reception. Drank water and was fake happy all night. Felt rotten. Got in car to come home, half way home I felt sick again, 5 mins away from home had to get DH to stop car again so I could throw up. Feel lousy today, banging headache. Really rubbish.
The bride looked beautiful and it was really lovely to catch up with old colleagues, one special lady in particular who I hadn't seen for 3 or more years but we had an amazing catch up. But yes, not quite the drinking and dancing I'd planned Hmm

Same goes for you One.... DRDry has spoken.

and just an aside, can't tell you how fantastic it is having a 13yr old dd who has got into fashion....having a lot of fun getting her to wear stuff I'm too old for Grin and she trusts my taste Shock so far and her friends have commented how nice it is to have a mum who likes clothes Shock....luckily she hasn't got expensive taste. Having a girls weekend in London in May, don't know who's more excitedGrin
DS has returned from French exchange ....seems to have visited the International school of Love!Grin..."French hotties" is the term he used...I told him that was not at all PC but that he had good taste!terrible mother . DH said "let's see a pic", DS said " no Dad you've got Mum!" Grin
Sorry.....just an aside, not fashion related.

I will definitely listen DRDry I have people who can look after me if I need them to so I'll be ok. Going to miss DP terribly and it's only a week!

Sleepwhenidie · 29/03/2014 09:46

Ooh, lace top...nice Dry, I also have to share this, I stumbled across it the other day and thought! well for £8 even if it's horrible I can get rid...orders the cream with very low expectations...but its actually quite nice Shock.

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2014 09:47

Love a bargain...can we pass our tops off as Isabel m do you think Sleep Grin

OP posts:

santamarianovella · 29/03/2014 13:26

Hope you are feeling better shop,x

linus I've liked this tibi skirt for some time, looks very pretty with sleeveless top,or simple baggy sweater,

shopafrolic · 29/03/2014 13:34

So I went back to bed leaving DH in charge of DS. Came downstairs 2.5 hours later to find DS in front of the TV, with DH asleep on a bench outside in the sun. Fuming. (and still feel like shite)

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2014 13:37

shop but they were both alive! nobody was hurt and you had a rest. Give DH a kick and go back up to bed, leave them to it Smile

Oh and today, for a limited time only, I'm channelling the horsey mum look won't last

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2014 14:20

Linus I think it might be too directional for a church wedding but it is fabulous!

Shop didn't realise it was coming back, good news, hope you feel better.

Love those dresses Dry.

Lovely James Perse Decam, I'm wearing my new top today. Very soft.

QueenCadbury · 29/03/2014 14:33

The uniqlo jacket arrived and it's shite! Even before I put it on I knew I hated it. Thin, cheap looking, definitely doesn't look £40. Dh said that my waterproof looks better and I'm inclined to agree Grin. I'm pleased with the one I bought for ds though which is navy and looks not so cheap.

shop poor you but glad you had a god time anyway.
one take it easy
dry I saw that new look top ages ago online but it looked quite short. Is it? Not that I need another white blouse.

I'm in bed feeling crappy-sore throat, aches etc. Going out tonight so hoping may feel better after a nap. Dinner at a local restaurant so need to think about what to wear.

QueenCadbury · 29/03/2014 14:34

Meant to also say that I love that jumpsuit but inclined to agree that maybe not a church outfit. I wouldn't mind buying a jumpsuit for a couple of 40ths I have in the summer.

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2014 14:40

QueenC think I'm short waisted... It is quite short.

LinusDKD · 29/03/2014 15:12

for dry

I saw this on a blog and thought of you. 100% cotton and they also do it in a vibrant green.

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2014 16:06

So pretty linus but I think DD would have that one out of my wardrobe Grin

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 29/03/2014 16:26

Bad news on the jacket QueenC but good to know as I'd always wondered about one for layers on the nursery run.
One well done on continued weightloss
Dry he's back asleep. Think he's ill too! Rubbish weekend ahead for us - gutted as the weather is beautiful

Drywhiteplease · 29/03/2014 17:26

Oh shop poor you, but I guess you could say at least the weather is good. I'd plant yourselves in deck chairs in the garden tomorrow and watch DS play in the sunshine. Really hope you feel better soon. X

Hello all! Sorry to hear the Shop household not wellSad Dry your story re your ds made me laugh! Loving all the tops, I think I am in a shopping hiatus as I am all about home decor at the moment! However, I am tempted by Sleep's lace top. It's a fiver, I should just get it but I don't think it will look as good on me. I can spend £500 without pausing, I am dithering over £5.Blush
