It's been a while since I set one up so thought I'd do the honours.

mig I'm pondering but my list so far.......I'd quite like to give VB a makeover and make her look a bit more natural/casual. I always feel that she looks a bit trussed up and uncomfortable. Simon Cowell-new jeans and get a top that covers that awful chest hair. TOWIE/Wags/Katie price etc-give them all a make under and rip out hair extensions, scrub off fake tan etc. I'm sure I'll be back with others.

Garment-not so sure yet....

marsha fab news
blsir sounds like a fab day. I love lace so look forward to seeing more in shops

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 19:59

Yes to Cowell - I wonder if the saggy black and white T shirts will still suit baby sick Smile

Did you see the Vogue UK and USA makeovers with Katie Price a few years ago? Stunning.

Glad about your case Marsha awful when that happens- feels like you cannot adjust and settle back at home/on holiday when things remain lost and unresolved.

Drywhiteplease · 23/02/2014 20:06

Oh YES Simon Cowell....with all his money he's a walking fashion disaster !!

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 20:11

If i had his money I'd be Isabella Blow or Schiaparelli Wink. I would wear clothing woven from the breath of angels and cashmere knickers. My shoes would be made of diamonds.

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2014 20:22

I do like Gwynnie. But prefer it when she is a bit more undone and messy. I always think someone could take a much better photo of her than what's usually out there.

Item - I'd design the perfect skinny. Mid to high rise, dark deep indigo. Maybe Frame already have.

Annianni · 23/02/2014 20:26

I'd dress Madonna, in per una's finest :o

Glad you got your case back Marsha.

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 20:26

I have been reading some old interviews with Gwyneth in US Vogue, one just after her Father died and you get such a strong sense of just how cataclysmic it was for her. I feel a bit envious when I hear of women who have great relationships with their Fathers but reading about her terrible pain I kind of think well at least I have been spared that- I grieve for what I never had.

She was filming Sylvia and the shoot is set in Cambridge- all tweeds and pencil skirts and truly hasn't dated. You could wear those clothes now and look very chic in a sexy Miss Marple way.

The perfect jean truly a millionaire moment, that.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/02/2014 20:27

Dry I know which blog it is, will have to see how I look if I do end up there. I'm sure they were approaching loads of people!

Hmm I would take Steph from BBC Breakfast shopping... she always looks uncomfortable and squashed in her pencil dresses imo. Much better in the things she wears out and about.

And I would design a perfect pair of heels (that can then be adapted to lots of different colours and designs, of course!). They would fit my feet perfectly and not fall off when I walk or squash my toes. And be very comfy.

Annianni · 23/02/2014 20:28

I'd design the perfect ankle boot, not too high, chunky heel, in suede or leather and available in half sizes and different ankle widths.

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 20:31

I agree that a lot of Breakfast presenters look uncomfortable and dated. A shame as so many clever women on these shows that are trapped in a dated 'assistant to the main man' style.

LinusDKD · 23/02/2014 20:32

I think in that picture of Gwyneth and Chris Martin outside their house (or the hospital) when she just had her first child, she looks stunning.

Natural, happy, glowing.

Oh Madonna, she gets it so wrong. Especially when she's in her casual gear.

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 20:34

That was lovely - she had a halo of light around her it seemed. I know it was very wrong of the paps to photograph her with Chris after she'd been to the docs but it had them looking at what we now know to be scan pics and he was touching her tummy and they looked full of joy. Bearing in mind her terrible loss, it brought tears to my eyes.

I am starting to warm to her- the recent comments about not judging any women's working and child rearing choices really resonated and spoke a truth commensurate with my sense of her being a woman's woman.

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2014 20:46

Yes same for Kate M and Wills in the post-hospital shot. She looked the best I'd seen. Beautiful and happy.

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 20:49

God yes- I am a republican but her happiness bought a tear to my cynical old eye.

And when they asked her about it and she choked up....Smile. So lovely to see that gorgeous post baby abdomen in all its rounded glory too.

santamarianovella · 23/02/2014 20:49

marsha that's great,

I think I would like to give Karl a makeover, but I can't think of what to dress him in!
Like linus I struggle with coats,so would like to have one that doesn't require heels,

anni Grin at dressing madonna in per una!

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 20:50

Her vulnerability touched me.

shopafrolic · 23/02/2014 21:16

My favourite ever quote was from Gwyneth's dad. In an interview she told how she'd asked her dad how he'd managed to have such a long and happy marriage. He replied "Because neither of us ever wanted to get divorced at the same time".
Can't do my homework tonight Mig sorry. I have Sunday blues and have drunk too much wine.
On a positive note, we've narrowed holiday locations down to two. Fingers crossed we'll book something tomorrow. And I've survived the ILs visit.
I bought some new topcoat for nails yesterday here. I put the Urban Vibe one over a nude nail varnish. It makes a nice change.

Shop Lol love that quote too.

Everyone has passed out in a deep jet lag sleep. They did very well and lasted until 5pm. I had a two hour nap. Hope I'm not awake all night.

libertychick · 23/02/2014 21:25

Rachel Reilly needs a make over - where does she get those dresses??

I need perfect sandals, low heel, t-bar, ankle strap perfectly positioned to not grip my chubby ankles, strap over toes positioned to hide my deformed baby toes, undersole cushioning, in a range of great colours and patterns.

Mignonette · 23/02/2014 21:33

Aw shop hope the blues go away soon Flowers and more Wine.

Turquoiseblue · 23/02/2014 21:51

Thanks queen for that list! I reckon there some of those I can incorporate.
Not least of all this - a great pair of shoes I got in zara today- phone won t link at the moment but they re just lovely. I feel a little like clicking my heels in them and what I ve been looking for for nights out :) very happy.
Also spotted a Gucci bag - I kid you not Gucci !!!!! - in TK max! For real! It was yellow too.

Blair your day sounds fab. You ll have to link to blog, your outfit sounds great.

Marsha - welcome back, nespresso all the way here, but make sure and get proper coffee cups, sorry if that obvious, I hate when coffee/espresso goes cold too soon! Or only fills the bottom third of the cup.

Who would I like to see restyled? ( ok I am not prefect but here goes ...)
Well Lilly Allen - she s so pretty but always manages to look like she s failed the last hurdle I think (on stage and public appearances I m talking about )
Um actually Kate moss - (sorry km fans) she has her pick of fashion and styling - yet so frequently dresses shabbily

Kylie - too much. Bling and glitz (and surgery)

What would I design? The prefect handbag ........need I say more

Drywhiteplease · 23/02/2014 22:13

I love Gwen Stefani Shop she has a great sense of her own style.

Mig the perfect blazer (I'd like tweed, then navy flannel, then a charcoal grey one)... For me....v nipped in waist, soft shoulder, narrow close fitting sleeve, single breasted, three button, mid hip length, single vent at back, 100% wool....I've been searching for years.

libertychick · 24/02/2014 09:17

If you ever find that blazer Dry let me know.

Good morning everyone - where are you all on this lovely sunny, blue sky day? Smile

shopafrolic · 24/02/2014 09:24

Morning lovely Liberty - are you enjoying a decaf skinny macchiato somewhere? Wink
Sun is shining here. How much difference does that make? Just dropped DS off at nursery - yay! Someone else can take over with wees and poos for a while.
I'm catching up on the ironing and chores Hmm
