I bought ds cheap pants too (Asda) and binned them after a poo accident. Sometimes its just not worth it. I'm glad you said that about potty training being the worst part of parenthood Dry as I wondered if it got any worse than that but obvs have not experienced the teenage years yet!
Have booked steam cleaning of carpet and sofa for Friday, its so annoying when with 3 little ones we manage to keep things clean then something like this happens (I am also a bit of a clean freak) I also forgot I ordered the floral m&s shoes last night, they just had one pair left in my size. I do not usually get on with m&s footwear, find it really uncomfortable but seem to have good reveiws.
Queenc thats a lovely bag. The only thing is the strap does not look adjustable and even on the model it looks like it should be a bit shorter?
Novice have a safe trip!

Fedupnagging · 17/02/2014 20:51

Mig Grin. That is sooo funny and gross. Dh had to do that for Ds3 a few years ago. We were astounded at the size given that he was a small skinny thing at the time.

Sounds like you are having a fairly successful day Shop

Fedupnagging · 17/02/2014 20:54

Sorry shop should have been more enthusiastic for you Blush, that is really good going for day 1.

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 20:56

mig that is gross.

That said, now that DS has overcome is poo phobia he does like to show off his 'work' to us. Hmm

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:00

Fedup I think teenage boy turds are like those sponge things you buy from the Body Shop that expand in water. Because otherwise I am sure he'd have suffered damage giving birth to that.

Yes they do like to share Linus. The pride of Simon Cowell re his new son has nothing on boys and girls and their joy at the contents of their potties.

Fedupnagging · 17/02/2014 21:02

Am still giggling mig. Such a lovely subject for a Monday evening!

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:07

It is different isn't it?

I have an interesting article for you all re the new Porter magazine and general circulation of high fash mags. Vogue only sells about 193,000 print copies per month. That is terrible. They must make an arm and a leg from advertising to keep them all in the schmoozing style they are accustomed to. I mean, a few years ago they shot in Papua New Guinea which must have cost a fortune.

Here it is.

QueenCadbury · 17/02/2014 21:20

Grin at mig. I've had to do that to my own poos before (suffered the most absolutely horrendous constipation with dc3) but I'm not sure I could stomach chopping up someone else's.

just I've gone off the bag. It's really not the right shade of pink for me. It's similar to that coach one I sent back. I need a proper fuschia.

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:23

Queen

What did you think of lily Allen's VW last night?

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 21:30

Liked the dress in itself but not on L.Allen and they completely overstyled her.

Btw mig did you see my post about Sophia Webster shoes on The Outnet?

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:30

Some gorgeous boys undies here and and here too.

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:31

linus

No I didn't and I bet they are all gone >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I'm gone>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

QueenCadbury · 17/02/2014 21:33

mig as I said earlier it was far too look at me, aren't I fabulous. And don't even get me started on the thing in her hair. Nice enough dress although would have preferred it without the bow.

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 21:34

Ha mig all the DC's underwear is Petit Bateau (as was mine and DSis's when we were little) but I am impressed with the quality if the extra pairs of underpants I bought at H&M for DS's potty training.

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:35

These I have ordered in the 41

and I already have another of hers - they are on my Pin site. They are so comfortable that i call them my Dancing Shoes. The ones I also adore are the Caroline Issa style for LK Bennett- pom poms and ric rac and Brazilian brightness.

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 21:40

Wow that was quick!

I knew you would go for those!

My work here is done.... Goodnight Grin

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:40

Queen sorry I didn't see that post - I keep missing the last page.

Her Mother was actually the 'real invite' being a super producer so rather Hmm that it is Lily posing and hogging the attention. I know she cannot help being photographed per se but insisting upon only being pictured with the Mother who is the real star of the night would be a start.

I really love H&M kids clothes Linus in general although you have to hunt among a lot of dross too. They do that Caramel Baby thing very well and of course the cool T's and little sweatshirts. I always buy their tights. I used to be able to fit into their kids clothes and their largest tights size and so had loads of seriously bonkers colours to choose from.

Petit Bateau are amazing. I have their undershirts in the softest cotton interlock -flat seams and lasting forever.

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:41

Linus

Good night - duel screen action!

I love them very much and I haven't even met them yet!

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 21:42

Order just gone through.....Feeling ever so slightly sick.....Smile

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/02/2014 22:07

Mig as our resident expert on matters of the human psyche, I'd be interested to hear your views on Amanda Knox. I've just watched a programme on BBC3 about the case and am quite shocked at the variety of DNA evidence the Italian Authorities have against her. She has massive support in the US and, apart from the obvious jingoism, I can't imagine why as she seems to be performing at every interview.

Not an obvious subject for MNV, I know, but it interests me and wondered if you had any observations.

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 22:16

Grumpy No expert Grin - an eternal student of it though.

I just don't know. Simon Hattenstone's interview with her in the Guardian was quite good and made me very unsure as what to think.

I suspect she may know something . It is actually not that hard to totally convince yourself of your own innocence or guilt and to convincingly believe in your own constructed story.

But how in goodness name do you murder somebody, leave blood and mess everywhere yet not one trace of your DNA or other body traces spare a snippet on a bra clasp?

I do think the American government will surrender her though on some quid pro quo basis and she may be allowed to one day return and finish her sentence in the USA. I cannot see how they can refuse extradition especially as they can use it to demand the extradition of Italian/American crime bosses.

libertychick · 17/02/2014 22:21

That's impressively fast moving on the Sophia Webster shoes Mig - they are gorgeous. Good spot by Linus.

My Boden navy parka arrived today. Really pleased with it. Looks good and good fit. DH v impressed with it too and has declared it 'the bargain of the year' obvs I have never explained the full cost of the pink Gracie I acquired via Marsha which is really the bargain of the year but yes getting a parka I like (and need) at £33.80 reduced from £169 is good going. I immediately put my very battered old Warehouse parka in the bin.

Well done on day one potty training Shop.
Sympathy on the denim stains justa how annoying.

I am ignoring the poo stories poo prude

Amanda Knox baffles me Grumpy...v strange lady.

Mignonette · 17/02/2014 22:26

Had to be fast- last pair I think in that size- it took seven mins from start to finish on two screens Grin.

That is a great catch Lib Is that chambray or denim? I like it.

libertychick · 17/02/2014 22:30

It's waxed dark navy cotton Mig with fleece lining. Very warm and proper 'solid' coat feel if that makes sense but neat fitting and not bulky. I'm going to wear it to work tomorrow, always a good sign when you want to wear something straight away Smile

That does sound lovely - my parka finally eroded away at the cuffs - I was starting to look like a tramp in it. I do miss a parka.

I like the idea of a burgundy one too. Is there any such thing I wonder?
