After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

Good morning Smile

Happy new year to you all!

Sorry for lack of list and posts...feeling a bit meh lately & can't seem to shake it Sad

Glad I kept up the rennovating through moving though....dp sprung an unexpected evening out at a fab trendy restaurant in town on me last night Shock Grin so I had a mad scramble trying to find something to wear.

Nails went un-painted though, they're looking a bit worse for wear after three days fighting with my washer to get its new seal on Confused so plan to spend the weekend looking after my hands once the last of the heavy stuff is done for the mo.

....Off to scrap with the washer some more Hmm ....

Happy New Year All! I shamefully didn't see the New year in...I was in bed at 9. DS is going through some sort of clingy phase and won't be put down, and boy does he make you regret it if you do. So too knackered to celebrate after carrying 20lb of baby round all day. Maybe it will tone my arms though? Well, my right one anyway.

So not much else done here, although I did measure my boobs the proper way and came out a 32DD. Which amused me as it sounds more impressive than they look. Will definitely need new bras for work, but wondering how breastfeeding will affect things as I plan to carry on feeding DS morning and evening for as long as he wants it (within reason!).

Going to try and take the Xmas decs down today, baby allowing, and maybe sort out my handbag. Found something in there yesterday that I couldn't actually identify...animal, vegetable or mineral. New bag ordered in the sales though, so no need to decontaminate....straight into the bin I think.

Congrats on the scan result hanloumac.

Well my stubby little nails have had a coat of clear varnish and my hooves have been filed and moisturiser. I treated myself to some serum for under my moisturizer a few days ago and already I look less knackered.

Morning all, Happy New Year!

style I can't lay claim to the invention of the ta-dah list I'm afraid, I picked it up from others on the last thread. Feel free to use at will though :)

hanloumac congratulations on your scan result! I see this thread about reminding yourself to make time for you, and to make the changes you want/need - whatever they may be.

lucysmam oh no, I can't believe your washing machine still isn't sorted. Was DH not able to shoehorn it in with a good bit of brute force and ignorance ?? Don't worry about feeling meh, you've had so much to deal with in the last few weeks it's no wonder you need a break!

helga did they give you an estimate on when you'll get your wifi back? I think I would have started taking hostages by now...

Well, so far:

Ta Dah
Up and dressed (though not particularly smart - leggings, t-shirt and cardi)
Hair brushed
Bathroom swished and swiped
Cats fed
Today will be a semi-fasting day (no food until tonight's roast dinner)

To Do
Sort my nails out - think I'll cut them all short and just use clear varnish for a week or two. Such a shame, I got given loads of pretty varnishes for xmas.
Update the wall calendar for the coming year's important dates
Laundry
DP has gone back to bed so will have to make that later
Exercise dvd
Ironing

Morning everyone, Happy new year!

This morning hasn't gone off to a good start, but hey ho, onwards and upwards.
Am covered in a really nasty viral rash so I'm struggling to be motivated.
To do:
Planking challenge (2/30)
Get dressed
Brush hair
Remove nail varnish
Repaint nails
Shave necessary bits
Housework

Would love to go for a little walk with the DC but it's windy and raining heavily. Maybe later on today

Good morning all and welcome :)

Helga, I'll keep an eye on the thread, hope your t'internet comes back.
It is blowing a batard ici, to quote the funniest thread I have read in a long time. I was hoping to go for a walk, however, it is bad enough to pull trees out of the ground, so I'll stay put.
To do:
my challenges (plank, abdo and squats),
get dressed and the rest
Swish and swipe
Update my diary and family callendar
See who's birthday it is this month and make a plan/write cards etc.
do my nails

The focus of this month is work :) i think I want to read some stuff about communication/leadership/interpersonal relationships etc.
the mantra of the week is 'I am grateful for...'

Have fun :)

Ta Da
Showered and body moisturised
Hair washed, dried and styled
Face hot cloth cleansed and moisturised, make up on
Dressed in new printed tunic (Debenhams sale) and skinny jeans
Healthy breakfast eaten (porridge with raspberries)
Drank water, took vitamins
Tesco online shop done, including lots of healthy stuff
Been for a walk (do not recommend, the weather is vile and I got soaked plus have earache from the wind)
One load of laundry washed, tumble dried, ironed if necessary and put away
New calender with organised new system on hung in the kitchen
Roast dinner put on to cook (beef, yorkshires, roast poatoes, roast parsnips, carrot and swede mash and green beans - most of that is healthy, right? ;-) )

And it isn't quite midday yet. I am on a roll! Grin

I bought Cosmo body magazine and there was a feature on fitness Instagram accounts. Check out @cttchickentuna on Instagram or chickentuna.tumblr this lady is 45 and has a bum to die for!

She does 50 squats a day - this is my New Years challenge!

It seems little and often is key - 30 min of cardio 5x pw and 15 min of weights 3x pw seems doable???

Feel great today, wearing a nice outfit have a bit of makeup on and freshly washed hair. Rommel one minute nail polish is my lifesaver wearing caramel cupcake today which is like a nude for my skin tone. I have eaten well parma and avocado salad for lunch , nice soup with a little bit of bread for dinner.

Aim to do some Wii exercise today and get a nice face wash. DH and DD have gone to a football match weather is horrid here on the South coast..I gave them a nice healthy packed lunch. Just off to Wilkos to get some batteries for the scales. Will then post my weight on here so I can update you in 108 days time eeeek!

Control even my FIL couldn't get it in so looks like money wasted on the glass and seal as there's no returns on them unless un-opened Sad Dp's just gone for a walk up to the main road to see if the second hand electricals shop up there has a washer for less than £100. Am half hoping that he'll have one & maybe knock £30 off the price for the glass and seal as he does repairs too.

I have no ta-da list today yet...apart from getting out of bed & drinking gallons of Brew ! Oh and I had a quick wash this morning. Going to get dressed in a mo then cook a small roast to celebrate the new year & hope that it perks me up a bit putting the radio on to sing to while I cook.

We'll see....Hmm

Hope you're all having a relaxing day Smile

Well my weight loss plans are not off to a good start! DH did a fry for breakfast and fancies a fish & chips take away for dinner! I always think resolutions shouldn't kick in till 2nd Jan anyway. I am glugging my water though and trying to cut down on the amount of tea I drink.

I'm not starting my resolutions properly until the 6th when I go back to work. I need to ease myself back in slowly and I still have half a sherry trifle in the fridge

DH and the DC have gone out, so I am home alone playing with different clothes combinations for work. I am rather excited about my new job, just in case you can't tell! I've got all my clothes laid out on the bed and am now going to do some playing on Polyvore and Pinterest.

I called Saturday about my internet and was told 5-6 days to repair. Got a text yesterday that it was fixed except it wasn't. It's broken at the telephone pole right outside my house and I knew no one had been out to fix it. So I had to call back and now it's ANOTHER 5-6 days! Not impressed.

Cooked a lovely healthy-ish lunch for us all and have spent day taking down christmas decorations. Sent hubby out for nail polish remover so will epilate and do my nails on his return .
So far so good!

smelly I was 15st at the start of 2012, I am now 9st 5lbs (and that is post-Christmas). With a little bit of work and a little bit of will power it can be done.

Helga is it BT? A friend of mine had real hassle with them when her line was damaged. Keep at them, if you don't nag at them they will fob you off.

Right! I am back on it...off to bed in a mo for an early one.

Have showered, exfoliated, shaved, moisturised, washed and conditioned hair, pumiced feet. Face masked after my shower & dried my hair. Couldn't be arsed to straighten with my little straighteners (ghd's went kaput yesterday Sad ) but will do in the morning as I'm taking the girls to a birthday party. No idea what I'll wear tbh....may have to hide the shabbiness under my coat when we get there Confused

Good news though...dp is as pissed off with the washer as I am so is ordering a new one in the morning .

Nails are still neglected but we're still humping furniture & boxes about so am leaving them for the weekend & will go on strike on Sunday - other than cooking- to give my hands some much needed tlc.
