Evening Shop Smile

Second Christmas was a roaring success, DS loved all his presents and was beautifully behaved all day and even graced me with a rare smooch as at nine years old he is too cool for that kind of thing normally Grin

shopafrolic · 26/12/2013 21:10

Sounds good One - nice one

libertychick · 26/12/2013 21:48

Sounds like a great day one.

I've been browsing sales all evening Shop - still sick and now having the traditional Christmas row with DH so having some retail therapy. Just ordered this wild horse scarf and this American Vintage dress. I'm not convinced the print of the dress will work on me but I had a look at my holiday photos earlier and decided that all my ancient holiday clothes will be binned and I will get just a couple of nicer things for the next holiday in March.

Drywhiteplease · 26/12/2013 21:49

I'm here , only just, bil been plying me with Voignier all night, once again I need a lie down! V chilled Christmas . My nail varnish has lasted 3 daysXmas Shock unheard of when I cook etc!
The great journey north tomorrow and detox before new year!!!

Mignonette · 26/12/2013 21:53

Liberty

That dress rocks. Love it.

Am singing my little ole heart out to 'Best Rock Anthems' on BBC4.

'I'm Just a small town girrrrl. Living in a small town world'

Altogether now...

Drywhiteplease · 26/12/2013 21:54

liberty < hugs> on both counts ( being poorly and arguing with DH ) xxxx

bloomingheather · 26/12/2013 21:58

I love that dress too Liberty. I've decided I want the navy Zatchels bag that it is styled with too Smile.

shopafrolic · 26/12/2013 22:01

Oh liberty sending you love and get well vibes (as well as make up sex vibes) I said that out loud didn't I? Grin
LOVE the dress. Can totally see you in it.
Dry my nails aren't cutting it this year. I had a special varnish which should last 7 days applied but after all the veg peeling and cooking it's chipped after 3. Boo hiss.

OneLittleLady · 26/12/2013 22:06

Love both the dress and the scarf Liberty hope you feel better soon.

I'm currently drinking the Fortnum and Mason Countess Grey loose tea DP got for me. It is delicious.

Drywhiteplease · 26/12/2013 22:07

There is no nail varnish IMO that lasts 7 days shop even Shellac doesn't work for me.

QueenCadbury · 26/12/2013 22:17

Just off to bed. Did any of you watch death at pemberley. There is only one darcy IMHO and that is Colin firth. So although there is no eye candy I enjoyed it anyway.

Hope you feel better soon liberty
one glad you had a nice day.

I had vinylux before my birthday and that lasted 8 days. Shellac last year only lasted 3. I've had mavala on for 3 days now but it's got a few chips so needs to come off.

Night.

I agree about nail varnish - I have very dry, brittle nails and even Shellac usually lasts less than a week, although I still love getting it done as I am so rubbish at doing my nails myself. I had it done on Monday and this time on the advice of the nail technician doing my nails, had a protective gel layer applied underneath - I think it's called something like Brisa - which is supposed to help them last longer. That and rubbing almond oil in to them at every opportunity, although I usually end up forgetting about that!

shopafrolic · 26/12/2013 22:21

Yup. 'Twas vinylux. First time it lasted 10 days but it wasn't to be this time. I've recorded it Queenc so will watch with interest.

Mignonette · 26/12/2013 22:21

Sing it out loud Queen!

libertychick · 26/12/2013 22:25

Thanks for all the nice comments on the dress!! Great minds Blooming - I was debating a navy zatchels bag earlier this year and my next port of call is their website to see what discounts they have!

I love classic rock Mig Xmas Grin - can't sing too loudly as my throat has lovely little white spots on it! I'm treating it with ice cream with some baileys poured over

Make up sex is completely out of the question Shop. I have erupted in cold sores - boo hoo.

I have also just ordered this Raoul skirt

libertychick · 26/12/2013 22:27

Have just read my post and feel the need to clarify that the cold sores are on my mouth Xmas Grin

QueenCadbury · 26/12/2013 22:31

Gah. Still here and not in bed!

liberty do you have tonsillitis? It can make you feel ghastly and if you have white spots on your tonsils you need antibiotics.

shopafrolic · 26/12/2013 22:35

Get yourself to the docs Liberty you've been working too hard lovie. PMSL at cold sores!

Mignonette · 26/12/2013 22:39

OMG Liberty. I didn't think you'd erupted in genital herpes and decided to announce it online Smile.

Seriously though, might be time to hit the Acyclovir if they do not go and address the stress that causes them. I used to get them on my gums and had to have low dose Acyclo for some time.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Drywhiteplease · 26/12/2013 22:57

liberty go to the dr you have a throat infection.
Off to download "Death at Pemberly" agree Queen that there is only one MrD and Downton, gangster granny and all other Christmas specials. Need to buy box sets of breaking Bad and Homeland for 2014.

KateSpade · 26/12/2013 22:58

I would like to join Please! :)

I have just ordered the following from Boots & Feel Unique Origins Make a Difference Glam Glow Masque along with a few bits of lip balm, ect. The glam glow is bloody amazing, its a repurchase and i highly recommend it.

Its my Graduation soon, and i need new clothes/shoes ect so what do you think of these...

one two or do you think they are too boring? I ordered this the other day aswell. I am after a leather pencil dress for the day ceremony however all the ones i have seen on Topshop & miss selfridge and the like are all sold out in my size!

All suggestions welcome! Wink

I've rang my hairdresser who doesn't bloody start back until the 7th of January which is cutting it fine to get my hair done, and i need to be booking a spray tan in preparation. A salon near me does 2 for £25.00 which is cracking value.

I have a to-do list as long as my arm aswell... Blush

MarshaBrady · 26/12/2013 23:00

Liberty love the skirt, dress and scarf. I feel bad I talked you out of the jumper. Perhaps it was my turkey/ champagne overload making me post as I did!

Foxy thanks re jumper. I think it might be something I really like... Or not. Quite like having no idea which way something will go.

MarshaBrady · 26/12/2013 23:01

Welcome Kate and Em, and great to see you back Blooming and Barbie.

RubyLovesShopping · 26/12/2013 23:03

Blooming and liberty I have that navy zatchels bag, it's stiff and unlined and I don't use it very much. In fact may only have used once or twice.
Watching the sales for a soft navy leather slouchy bag- let me know if you see one anywhere, not inspired at all.
