barbie I got a polar bear onesie for christmas! it has felt claws on the feet and everything Grin

Report
Barbie1 · 27/12/2013 12:01

Awesome Xmas Grin

In fact im rather cold right now and would gladly climb into a onesie without claws

NO Xmas Shock

I do not own a onesie although, like you Barbie I'm a little chilly and would probably wear one right now.

I don't look much better though, in an elderly Victoria's Secret sweatshirt and Jack Wills trackie bottoms, nicely rounded off with sheepskin flipflop slippers. Busy few days, with the next two days looking super busy so I'm having as close to a day off as I'm likely to get today. Slob.

When's the wedding grumpy?

Report
GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 27/12/2013 13:30

Tomorrow Dry.

My DBro is Best Man and every time anyone mentions the speech he says his mouth goes dry! We (The DSises and I) are enjoying winding him up - lack of confidence is an alien concept to him and we intend to exploit it as much as possible I've waited 36 years for this moment.

Early start tomorrow as the wedding is in London at 1pm and I have to drive down in the morning and back in the evening as we are racing on Sunday. That's why I'm having as lazy a day as possible today - 200+ miles driven on both Christmas day and Boxing Day and it's taken it out of me a bit, along with all the usual dashing about/cooking/present buying etc.

Enjoying slobbing today!

Hi everyone. What a grim day weather wise - it's so dark here. Sorry to hear about those of you who are feeling ill - hunker down and get better soon.
Ruby thanks for the feedback on the Zatchels bag. I was probably looking for something a bit skouchier. Did you have a look at their sale liberty? They have some bags at 60% off but not the plain navy unfortunately.
Grumpy are you looking for the rose gold courts? I have the rose gold French 75 courts from Whistles which are very similar. They are not on their site anymore but you might be able to get them elsewhere? They are here: here.

Haha, I meant slouchier, although I wouldn't mind seeing a 'skouchy bag'!

bloomingheather · 27/12/2013 13:51

Grumpy John Lewis still have them here although only in a 3,4 or 8.

Thanks for that Blooming - I might order those and see how I go. They are quite high, but I've checked and they're 1cm higher than the Kate Spades, so might be OK.

Glad you feel better QueenC

Great Grumpy! They are high and I have to admit to abandoning them halfway through the day at one of the weddings I wore them to, but I later danced all night with them on, so maybe I was just breaking them in (or it could have been the amount of alcohol I had had that day Blush, Let me know how you get on with them.
Glad you're feeling better QueenC. Drinks and nibbles sounds nice!

The lunch guests have just gone- enjoyed it and took both paracetamol and ibuprofen as well as some prosecco and red wine.
The dc are all still up, plan is get them in bed ASAP then crash on the sofa at last.
I need new skinnies, really need to get somewhere to try on premium denim, selfridges maybe? Weight loss plan is being launched tomorrow.

Barbie I hope it all worked out ok!

QueenC oh no hope you are feeling better.

Grumpy have a fantastic time.

Ruby Donna Ida too. Can be crazy prices at fp, but can be easy to find really good discounts in the sales.

What is in your wardrobe that you feel is most out of date? I am plumbing for the yellow c/e skinnies (well I threw them out) and the Bruno burgundy ones. So I would say bright coloured skinnies.

Do you have stuff that you look at and think ah! no! I wonder if it's most likely the stuff just out of fashion.

Report
RubyLovesShopping · 27/12/2013 21:18

Just checked and no branch of Donna Ida within 200 miles! Even the nearest selfridges is an hour away and the range not huge.

Marsha yes burgundy skinnies and I have a navy wool tweed blazer from massimo dutti with elbow patches. May look into patch removal. But I am hardly at the cutting edge of fashion, my style is fairly classic with the odd bit of sequins or animal print thrown in.

The following have to go:
Not flattering
Already banished - what was I thinking

Humming and ahhing over a pleated Hobbs print skirt - it's very useful work skirt but I feel like a frump in it.

Going to get rid of all my 'holiday clothes' - various Dotty P and New Look dresses bought as 'they will do' but my last lot of holiday snaps has convinced me enough is enough - they are horrible!

Big post to follow....

I was thinking of asking if I could try it Shop! When are you next in London? I also want to ask you about your hairdresser - my hair has been annoying me for ages, the colour especially.
