Waves to my fabulous Voguette buddy. Lovely here too. Pilates tonight - my back is still killing me - what to do?
Sun is shining - need to get dressed and get going.

OneLittleLady · 13/11/2013 09:43

Actually got dressed: grey acid wash skinnies, black vest, sleeveless, sheer black shirt with swallow collor, green chunky knit cardi. popped out for a brisk walk, tis crisp and bright out there

shopafrolic · 13/11/2013 10:10

Well done One - that's more like it!

shopafrolic · 13/11/2013 10:17

Can anyone be fab and relink the tartan scarves - I think Amber and Dry had bought them?

MarshaBrady · 13/11/2013 10:22

Liberty too? Was it Celtic something..

OneLittleLady · 13/11/2013 10:41

YY, someone link the tartan, I'm after some , I love love love tartan

shopafrolic · 13/11/2013 11:21

Have driven to a massive park. DS says it's a beautiful sunny day in the countryside today. Gorgeous light, beautiful colours. Happy days.
Am wearing prune Ash Bowies, Goldsign Lures, grey Whistles sweat, Muubaa chocolate biker, prune Missoni scarf. Okay ish.

Sleepwhenidie · 13/11/2013 11:29

I don't know how much reliance can be placed on this 'bargain prediction calendar' but thought it may be worth linking in case it helps anyone reduce Christmas costs!

Money saver

My sympathies Queen. We do need a chocolate emoticon but in the meantime imagine this Brew to be full of liquid chocolate.

DH is going to be annoyed w/ me because I broke open his bumper packet of fruit, nuts and chocolate mixture, picked out all the chocolate and ate it. At 9 this morning (like you Queen)The packet tore apart scattering all over the kitchen table making it easier to separate the chocolate bits....(heh heh). Have had to repackage the leftovers in a paper bag and the chances of him not noticing are on a par with a bear becoming a Catholic.

One That's more like it. Always good to give a CPN a surprise! Shakes us out of our complacency Wink. However I am in my leopard fleece dressing gown, navy Bodas PJ bottoms and cream long sleeve T shirt so not dressed yet Blush. Am having a writing/paperwork day and recuperating as have a bit of pain. I have the new 'Madame C' DVd to watch later about Carinne Roitfield, the former French Vogue editor. It documents the launch of her new magazine. Fashion and celeb porn.

OneLittleLady · 13/11/2013 12:48

I asked for Bill Bailey to play a progressive acid jazz cover of the Imperial March from Star Wars on twitter because he's doing a session with NME and they asked for people to tweet them with suggestions AND HE DID IT!!! Hahaha, it has made my day Grin

QueenCadbury · 13/11/2013 12:59

I think the scarves were from Edinburgh wool mill.

one that's great.

mig hope you're feeling better today.

As for me, I can't carry on like this. Most of the time I am a normal person, a great mum and a good wife. For a few days a month I literally turn into a monster. Seeing my gynae on Monday so need to make a decision about GnRH analogues as it would be the next step both for the endo pain but also for pms/perimenopause symptoms. I guess I need to get myself off s&b and onto a more appropriate forum but if there's any lurkers out there with experience of taking these then please feel free to pm me.

shopafrolic · 13/11/2013 13:00

found it

QueenCadbury · 13/11/2013 13:02

On a more positive note my belt arrived a couple of days ago and I love it and will definitely help pull outfits together.

shopafrolic · 13/11/2013 13:04

They also have pure cashmere for £30

shopafrolic · 13/11/2013 13:07

Sleep am really enjoying my big bowl of salad - v tasty - I could be converted

QueenCadbury · 13/11/2013 13:09

Actually I think this is ambers but I think libertyswas from EWM.

Mignonette · 13/11/2013 13:21

Queen PM. x

AmberNectarine · 13/11/2013 13:42

I have tha Gap one and a pure cashmere one bought direct from a mill via eBay. I actually much prefer the Gap one, it is so soft and wide.

MarshaBrady · 13/11/2013 13:44

Ipod died on first run, so had to go out again. Luckily a lovely enough day! I clearly do better with the beat.

It is beautiful out there Shop.

QueenC you poor thing, good luck with the appointment.

Amber I am tempted by the Gap one now you say that.

MarshaBrady · 13/11/2013 13:57

That sounds great Mig I'm going to check that out. Yet to see The September Issue.

Mignonette · 13/11/2013 14:03

Marsha You must see The September Issue. I have watched it several times and the opening still thrills me (I hope that doesn't sound too sad) when they play Ladytron's 'Destroy Everything You Touch' and the models walk and the flashbulbs go off.....The beauty and creativity of shoots, the close ups of the couture, Grace Coddington...It is one for your Christmas Stocking.

MarshaBrady · 13/11/2013 14:06

Yes I must! Sounds fab, not sad at all. Feel the same about the beginning of TDWP. Grin

Umlauf · 13/11/2013 14:16

I loved the September issue! haven't seen it in ages! is it on netflix I wonder?? Grace is awesome.

Loving the sound of your outfit mig I am in similar but neatly accessorised with a smattering of baby sick a la Jackson Pollock. Stupidly threw on nearest jumper to open door to postman and didn't think, it's dry clean only. For a sweatshirt!! Who does that?! It's metallic so I guess the machine might melt it or something, but I'm tempted to try a cold wash. I clearly have a lot to learn about motherhood.

Sending my sympathies queenC I hope you get good advice.

one I am so jealous of the British weather! It's a couple of degrees warmer in North Spain but so grey and drizzly. I want a Christmas card bright cold morning to jog in!

Assuming I can even get back to the uk for the christening, which is a whole other thread (literally, in the living overseas board if anyone fancies a horror story!), I'm going to need some dress advice! I'd love a new one but have spent all my money on passports. I have, and fit into this lace dress though! is it too somber...

LinusDKD · 13/11/2013 14:22

mig DH 'found' Scatter my Ashes at Bergdorfs for me on the internet but I have yet to watch it.

I also haven't taken The September Issue out of it's cellophane wrapper but I am very tempted to buy Mademoiselle C as well.

I did see a documentary about Vogue editors (forgotten the name) on the plane to NY that was very interesting. Some real characters, like a French editor with an aristocratic name which escapes me at the moment.

one good one! I like Bill Bailey.

queenc how horrible to feel like that! I really hope your gynae can help you.

I bought some EWM cashmere scarves and, even though they are quite thin and short, the colours are lovely.

Mignonette · 13/11/2013 14:32

Umlauf - style the sick out, style the sick out Wink.

I would think that lace dress fine for a Christening although you might need a blazer or something over it to keep warm. Wear bright shoes and lipstick and it'd be a good look. I tend towards darker clothing in church anyway-It is the convent education coming out!

Linus I so want to see that. It looks amazing. I posted a trailer for it on here a while ago but didn't know it was available in its entirety online.

Was the aristocratic French editor person called Loulou De La Falaise? Or Joan Juliet Buck?
