I'm watching shop yikes!!!!

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 21:13

I'm watching it. No idea what is going on but prefer how he looks to his other stuff!

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2013 21:15

Oh no so reindeer onesie then Shop? Grin love the face paint

OneLittleLady · 12/11/2013 21:19

I am calm, I am not feeling edgy, upset and paranoid. No, not me. Today's only highlight was finding two books in the charity shop, one John Lennons Imagine album arranged for guitar, piano and voice and the other, 20 Beatles songs arranged for solo piano. For the grand total of £3.

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 21:19

Marsha watch parts 1&2 on iPlayer first!!!!!

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 21:20

Ha ok! Dh at work, tonight and tomorrow. I'll go to iplayer.

LinusDKD · 12/11/2013 21:22

Transmogrified! Now that is an English word they didn't teach me at school. Wink

I asked DH and he says it is from Calvin and Hobbes. Hmm

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 21:25

Mig that's interesting. Although Prada almost has a vibe that is so different to the off-colour thing. It sits with Gucci and almost 'tourist fashion' - you know those big shiny labels, that people wear.

It's nice when people get it and to be reminded of what a good designer she is.

No idea if I'm saying that clearly but posting it anyway!

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2013 21:26

Mig thanks for styling ideas....will concentrate on your brill post when The Escape Artist is finished.

Mignonette · 12/11/2013 21:30

Thank you Shop. I have just read her latest post 'What Remains' and how right you are about my tastes. Her writing is beautiful, informed,m educative and not 'teachy' and gorgeous gorgeous recipe and photographs.

What a life. And I can hear the stress in her writing voice regarding the epic tantrum of her son competing w/ the Roman sirens! Bless him Smile. That age..That stage of parenthood....Confused.

I have subscribed. I also love Orangette, Zuccini et Chocolat, David Lebowitz, Milk {{{local supplies}}} by a Tennessean called Beth (great aesthetic) and Food Stories (Peckham based writer). I subscribe to so many blogs about food. I haven't got mine running yet-it is about how people maintain and adapt their culinary culture when they immigrate here. Each entry will be structured around an oral history interview w/ a different person, transcribed and put in context then I will get them to cook a recipe whilst i watch and document. I need to build up a 'bank' of interviews to publish and also content that explains their food, customs, feast days etc. Getting the legallities such as rights to interview content, the ethics of taking an oral history, meeting people and gaining trust is taking time. I will have more time soon. I have contacted local refugee centres alongside social organisations but bearing in mind the reasons why some people come here, I have to proceed slowly and be sensitive. People may not want to be recorded understandably so learning reporters shorthand too.

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 21:30

Is it me or is David t wearing very tight jeans?

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 21:31

Not in a good way

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 21:37

I know mig she writes beautifully! and has a gorgeous little man too

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 21:39

Help dry what's this allergic reaction all about?

QueenCadbury · 12/11/2013 21:40

I'm totally confused about what half of you are going on about Grin

dry you've reminded me though that me and dd are meant to wear spots tomorrow for toddler group!

dry this is also for you Wink

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2013 21:48

ooh QueenC

shop did the stab set it off? Sure I saw VPL on David's bum!Shock I really hope this doesn't have a bad ending. I'll be cross!

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2013 21:49

Shop I'm half an hour behind....don't tell me the end yet!!!

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 21:53

We can't talk about the end anyway until Marsha catches up!

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 21:54

Don't worry I'll look away. Grin

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 22:02

Ooooo very clever ending dry - it won't disappoint.

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 22:05

Shop have pm'ed you kiddo.

Mignonette · 12/11/2013 22:07

Marsha yes I agree with you. Mrs Prada approaches fashion I think from an intellectual perspective and produces collections that work together like parts of a symphony (sounds a bit pretentious written like that, I know) as opposed to 'New! new! New!' each season.

One That is a great find, well done. Hope all is okay?

Queen I thank you and your DH for your advice. I feel more in control now as per medical options.

Love the Beckham leggings/top combination. I bought DH a linen long sleeved cream granddad top from his range last year and it is > to touch (sorry). I keep thinking of VB's 'Tractor Stovepipe' comment whenever i see him in his pants now. Thanks VB. Grin.

Am starting to flag, trying to stay up as enjoying the multiple strand-conversations on here. It is a good fit for my flitty mind.

Mignonette · 12/11/2013 22:07

See DB in his pants I mean. Not that I am casting aspersions upon my DH in pants either. Grin

Sleepwhenidie · 12/11/2013 22:08

Hi everyone, just popping in to say hi and have a quick catch up. I am drowning in coursework and have also very stupidly committed myself to grading for my next kickboxing belt this Saturday, I'm not properly ready for it so am 'cramming' for it this week, three hours in the dojo today, I am wiped.

One sorry to hear about your day and that I haven't been in touch today, hang on in there Smile

OneLittleLady · 12/11/2013 22:14

I'm ok Mig & Sleep just had a rubbish day and my med injection is due in the morning so I'm tetchy because I need it! Hanging in, drinking frothed up soya milk with a vanilla pod in it
