Hello! Thanks for my hugs.Smile Always hard to leave the dcs. Have had a lovely dinner of pan fried calves liver with creamy mash and spinach with pine nuts on side, followed by a very chocolatey torte. Oh and a couple of glasses of wine. Hopefully tomorrow's dress still fits!

Amber since updating to iOS 7.3 weird things have happened on my iPad, one of which is I'm no longer able to comment on blogs. Anyway just wanted to say I love your post about the j Crew lady, and how you know RL stylish ladies.....v true. And tonight I find myself nodding in agreement about the "performance coat"....great stuff.

BrandyAlexander · 12/11/2013 08:58

Morning! How is everyone this morning? I am "on show" today n "Liberty land"Wink. I am wearing Hobbs red shift dress over TM Lewin pink flowery print blouse with black Hobbs jacket and shoe boots. It's meant to be smart business casual but thought I would go for the smart end of it!

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 09:38

Sounds lovely Novice.

J Crew isn't particularly design-led really, it's good and I like the stuff but they did make a good decision in promoting a creative director. Especially if they're going to sell it to Europe / UK.

Shop have you got some free time today? Hope you are enjoying a coffee somewhere!

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 09:51

Walking the hounds Marsha but DH working from home today so need to pretend to do housework when I get back.....

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 09:52

Coming to you live from a boggy field in Herts!

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 09:53

Haha

Don't do too much! Maybe there's some cupboards that need sorting out

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 09:57

I have got Nov and Dec Harpers to read

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 09:58

That's the spirit.

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 10:00

I didn't mean shut yourself in the cupboard before, but the bedroom. In case that was unclear Grin

Ok another espresso, then work.

Very zen here. Very nice.

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 10:03

I don't think I've achieved zen since 1993!

LinusDKD · 12/11/2013 10:04

Go on shop do it!

DC extra trying today. DS super clingy and DD moany (think she's teething but it could just be general grumpiness)

11 is too early for a nap, right? Wink

Mignonette · 12/11/2013 10:16

Hi everybody - today I am wearing.....A sexy blue geometric print hospital gown as am awaiting minor surgery on the bacl of my lower jaw (part of dental work). I am back on the gut rot antibiotics (Eurythromycin). Has anybody taken these? They have such an unpleasant effect causing stomach ache, indigestion etc.
My op time has been pushed back which is annoying but should be out by tonight.

Have a good day my lovely MNVers. Speak (Or a garbled nonsensical sound) later.

AmberNectarine · 12/11/2013 10:59

Best of luck mig that sounds grim. Lots of ice cream and soup for you! I've got two fillings on Friday but not really same league!

Thanks dry, glad you're enjoying it!

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 11:02

Good luck Mig - I bet you're rocking the gown!
I really want to get to this at some point Isabella Blow
And pic attached to show ho glam my life really is!

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 11:05

Amber I meant to say - I have the Land's End parka and all the feathers fall out everywhere. V annoying - wouldn't buy again. Love your choice.

Mignonette · 12/11/2013 11:08

Still waiting in my gown.......Sad. Thanks Amber although it is nothing compared to what you have been through- Love the recent columns in your blog. More opinion pieces, more, more Smile!

Mignonette · 12/11/2013 11:10

That looks amazing Shop. She was very let down by the no doubt private MH care she received and her friends were hopelessly ill equipped to deal with her illness. I wonder whether she ever had NHS care, not that this is that much better Sad.

Hmmmm outfitUK not sure you're supposed to use threads like this in that way. Needs to go via MNHQ methinks…….

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 11:44

Josh you've got to pay for media requests.

Good luck Mig.

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 11:46

That looks fab Shop. Really looking forward to the mini mu btw.

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 11:47

Me too - will have to be low-key - I am so poor tis untrue. But a chat and a wander would be aces. xx

shopafrolic · 12/11/2013 11:48

How do media requests work then? Do MNHQ get cash for letting people talk to MNetters? Confused

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2013 11:48

Yeah nursery is killing me atm. But I reckon I owe you a bubble or two.
