Whilst looking again at QueenC and now Amber's sparkly coast top I found this
beauty
A lot like this dream dress
Very me,very hard to resist. No dress dos coming up.........love it though.

Drywhiteplease · 10/11/2013 09:44

Marsha agree! this kind of weather makes England look beautiful. You should see the countryside round here today......although I'm only imagining it as I'm still in bed with coffee and papers Grin

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 09:44

Gorgeous. I need somewhere to wear the Lanvin. We need a Vogue cocktail party.

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 09:45

hehe am still in pjs with coffee too. Looks nice through the windows!

Drywhiteplease · 10/11/2013 09:50

Oh Marsha I agree! that would be fab. Was wingeing on Friday to DH about my lack of Christmas dos opportunities to get dressed up . Actually it was just wingeing because then I looked at calendar and shut up Grin think I just wanted to go out on Friday night .
A MNV night out would be impressive, fashion and fizz.......when I told a friend about what everyone was wearing at the "school reunion" Wink she shuddered and said " wow, it was v high end" I was " it was fab, everyone looked amazing ". That's the great thing about this thread. Any fashion is unashamedly welcome.

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 09:58

Agree! It would be fab. Will have a muse on how to do it, any suggestions welcome.

QueenCadbury · 10/11/2013 10:13

Ooh can I wear the westwood? Cocktails would be fab although no idea how it would be manageable. For daytime I was wondering whether Birmingham would be any good for the next mu as I thought it may be easier for northerners and londeners to meet in the middle? There's selfridges and lots of nice places to eat around the bull ring?

dry its's this one. Last years Mango. I'm feeling a bit fat though this week having let myself go so will have to see how it looks. Although i have just been for a glorious bike ride in the sun and cold.

I certainly wasn't high end at the mu. Gap jeans, clarks boots, charity shop (French connection) blouse and gap blazer! However some of my jewellery was tiffanys Grin

Drywhiteplease · 10/11/2013 10:20

That's what I meant QueenC I certainly wasn't either. But everyone had made an effort and we were all just into clothes wherever they came from. Some people just find an emphasis on clothing a bit intimidating iykwim ? MU wasn't at all....just lovely.
Sorry, I remember you linked the top the other day,v lovely.

RubyLovesShopping · 10/11/2013 12:02

A vogue cocktail party.....where we get to get dressed up.....and drink cocktails......or anything at all...oh yes please!!

OneLittleLady · 10/11/2013 12:07

I agree Dry Mu was just....nice IYKWIM? Of course everyone looked fab (even me!)

shopafrolic · 10/11/2013 15:04

Waves briefly to all - am in rubbish emotional state so am not on top form. A MNV cocktail thing would be absolutely fab. And would also be up for a Birmingham meet but would have to be a daytime thing - I'd happily drive a few Londoners that way if they got the train to me…….
I have no Christmas parties at all - DH doesn't seem to think his company do anything so am well up for a posh night out…...

Drywhiteplease · 10/11/2013 16:07

Oh Shop Cake and ((((hugs)))))

LinusDKD · 10/11/2013 16:53

shop Wine and (((hugs)))

BrandyAlexander · 10/11/2013 17:05

Thanks For Shop.

I have had a rubbish weekend. Dd has been pushing my buttons left right and centre. I don't want to spend the weekend yelling and seemingly constantly putting them on the naughty step. I want to do fun stuff with them on the weekends.Sad

Ds didn't sleep well last night. I just point blank refused to get up and made dh do it.

Only one bit of good news....The threat of legal proceedings appears to have done the trick! We are getting the oven back tomorrow. Honestly!

On fashion front. My dcs are better turn out than me today. Ds looks gorgeous in a Gant sweater over a shirt and chinos. Not at all a mini me. Oh no, not at all! dd looks gorgeous in a pumpkin patch red and grey Breton type dress from when they had a French theme going on last year. I, however, am wearing a baggy caramel next sweater over a Primark long tee and with skinny cords from tk maxx. This sweater has to go! I am looking for more cashmere sweaters at the moment and have seen a couple that I like. Will pin later, I am currently on the phone to 2 sets of lawyers trying to prevent a client situation from imploding!

OneLittleLady · 10/11/2013 17:05

shop Thanks Wine [hugs]

LinusDKD · 10/11/2013 19:35

novice I've lost count of the amount of times I had to put DS in the corner today. Hmm

And DD fell over and cut her lip. Sad

dry that is a gorgeous dress and such a great colour.

I don't have any Christmas parties to go to either, apart from DH's office's children's Christmas party. Which he won't be able to attend as he's traveling so the DC and I will have to go on our own.

DH is currently helping me with straightening my hair with one of these DYI home straightening kits. Vidal Sassoon he aint! Wink

BrandyAlexander · 10/11/2013 20:09

Poor you Linus. your dh is lovely for helping with your hair.Smile

QueenCadbury · 10/11/2013 20:13

Phew, 6 hours of drinking fizz. I'm shattered Grin

Hope you're ok shop. You too novice. It's horrible when weekends are spent disciplining. Mine are still being pretty good after me taking things away from them earlier this week.

We've got a Christmas party with friends as well as a curry evening with friends as well as one with my book club. I shall probably try and organise some kind of mums night as my 'work' night out. Need to get lots of wear out of the sequinned coast top!

AmberNectarine · 10/11/2013 21:45

I'm already looking forward to wearing mine QueenC - crazy sizing though, I bought a 6!

Have spent an enjoyable hour compiling a present ideas board for DH (have December birthday)

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 21:58

Big hug to Shop. I hope you're ok lovely.

And to you Novice too lovely.

I'm watching Pretty Woman for a blast from the past. I reckon someone (who looked like that) could shop on Rodeo Drive now in that outfit and be fine. She looks great in the black cocktail dress.

Drywhiteplease · 10/11/2013 22:22

Ooh loved that dress Marsha and Gere

Drywhiteplease · 10/11/2013 22:22

But I thought he was a Pratt on graham Norton a couple of months ago

shopafrolic · 10/11/2013 22:26

Thanks you lovely lot.
Sleep I have done a bulk order of Merchant Gourmet - you should be proud! :)
novice linus et al! that's me too - so fed up with constant disciplining.

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 22:32

I didn't see that Dry, he's hot in the film isn't he. And she's so pretty. Great in the red dress with the hair too.

Shop ah so tough. Hope you're relaxing now and in your free time this week.

Linus hope your dd is ok.

Opened a local mag and for some reason they used an old photo of ds1 in reception class with his friends with a short blurb about his school. They look so sweet and so happy.

shopafrolic · 10/11/2013 22:33

Random question of the evening..... Do any of you use velvet clothes hangers? The wooden ones take up so much space I was considering trying some. like these
