Gorgeous,gorgeous skirt decam

novice I'm Angry on your behalf! How rude! I won't be surprised if it was their intention to make a double profit,by selling it to someone else.
Good call on getting a designer ,with your work load it would be impossible to do it yourself.

marsha hope your ds gets better, and how exciting about Australia! Will go there someday!

dry yes,I am! I did not do big projects, that was my boss's job, but did a lot of small projects, like guest rooms, libraries and children's nurseries ( which I looooved) I would like to open an office specifically for children's desgins, but sadly at this economy its not a wise move!
And your mum is right, about leaving the house in good condition for the new owners, the previous owner of our house, really set the bar high! He was really terrible at negotiation ,but when we finally closed the deal, and moved, a gorgeous flower arrangements and a huge fortnum and mason hamper was waiting for us along with a hand written note! Thought it was very thoughtful of him!

Drywhiteplease · 09/11/2013 15:16

Santa that's really nice of the previous owner. What a fab job you had .
Shop watched episode 2 yesterday at 2.30pm.....much better, but , my god that actor's a very convincing psychopath!! Watch your back though....I'd consult your physio before doing more exercise just in case it's not muscular.

Bloody hell.....last Saturday I stood in the pouring rain watching a fireworks display....looks like it will be the same again tonight at DHs works fireworks do total lack of enthusiasm by Dcs and me about attending hope there is mulled wine Grin need to try to look chic Hmm would rather be watching Strictly but........nights out that you're not looking forward to always end up the best!

MarshaBrady · 09/11/2013 16:24

Santa libraries and nurseries.. swoon you got the best ones imo!

Dry good luck, I hope there's something warming there.

Shop you're very good. I hope dh is appreciating what you are doing on your Saturdays.

Waited for rain to pass and run was fab. I just looked at party thing again and realised it's on Sunday gngngn

Decameron · 09/11/2013 16:39

One, hope you are ok today, I always find my mother's anniversary a hard day.

Get well soon, QueenC. I usually wear more casual skirts but figure it will get an outing on Christmas day at least, I will be visiting relatives and everyone is always very dressy.

That is just so mean of your sellers, Novice.

AmberNectarine · 09/11/2013 17:05

QueenC thanks for posting about your Coast sequin top - am swinging bag containing it as we speak. Love it!

Also bought men's red tartan scarf from Gap. Is massive and supersoft so I will overlook the fact it is completely acrylic!

Ordered pink cashmere crew neck and silver slingback flats in Boden preview last night too (had press day voucher) so that is my spending done for a while. Next big purchase will be my bag!

Will catch up now!

MarshaBrady · 09/11/2013 17:10

That all sounds really good Amber.

Speaking of sequins I just saw this pic of E Alt again. She really is rocking the coated skinny / sequin combo. Love it.

Umlauf · 09/11/2013 17:34

It's quite sparkly turquoise but I love sparkly stuff. More so than it looks online. I think its sold out though. Mine's a 12 and I'll be sending it back if youre interested!

Umlauf · 09/11/2013 17:35

Oh decam I love that skirt! must resist the lure of pencil skirts when they hate me so!

RubyLovesShopping · 09/11/2013 18:24

Decam I love that skirt too but know that skirt would not love me. It did lead me to a couple of tops on there I may order though, not sure if that's through boredom whilst waiting for sales. Will pin them.
Novice glad you got the house sorted, shocking about the oven. We moved in to find all sorts of strange items removed like wall lights left with bare wires hanging out, we forgave them as the people we bought from had last moved in 67 years earlier and probably didn't understand that you don't do that. Our home is a renovation project still in progress, wish wish wish we could have had a designer come in and sorted it (although I may have been a bit too control freakish to cope with that!).
Completely off topic but those of you who run do you have a gps watch, if so which one? Is no 1 on my Xmas list this year, the gadgety side of me lives the idea of it!

santamarianovella · 09/11/2013 18:28

Ohqueen sorry, I missed your post! Hope you feel better,I had the same thing yesterday, thought it was something I ate,but it must be a bug going around,

turq thats a really gorgeous coat.

shop, you have reminded me of my ash trainers! Dear god what was I thinking!

amber can't wait to see your bag purchase!

marsha it was a really amazing experience, but very time consuming! It never stops! I miss the part about meeting new clients, some of our clients have become close friends! others I would rather forget

The reviews about j.crew are not very promising!its way more expensive than the the us(as expected)'but Many people say its missing the jcrew touch, specially the layout!ive seen some pics on vogue and harpers bazaar ,and it looks really nice, now I've been to one in NYC about 3 years ago,and thought it was very disorganised. Don't know if its just pointless baseless criticism ?
amber please go and report!

Sleepwhenidie · 09/11/2013 18:35

Hi, we have SIL and family staying this weekend, DC's having a blast with their 3 cousins, been out on Southbank all day but they still aren't worn out Shock, adults are though! Now I have to get ready to go back out again for dinner, might take inspiration from EA and wear leather trousers and gold sequin jacket...

Novice Angry at your vendors. If you are without curtains for a while, blindsinabox are genius.

Sleepwhenidie · 09/11/2013 18:39

Ruby re GPS watch, I think Garmin best but it may be worth starting a thread in Exercise topic asking runners for recommendations for specific model. DH loves his Garmin for his bike.

Umlauf · 09/11/2013 18:41

What really annoys me about JCrew's UK opening is that they are charging so much more, not just than the US prices but than the European prices. For example, the Neon yellow Tippi I have in my basket is 69.50 pounds but 49.36 euros if I want to have it shipped to me in Spain and 49.99 US dollars if I were to ship to a US friend. So the same jumper is 30 pounds if you live in the US, 40 pounds if you live in Spain or anywhere else in Europe and 70 pounds if you live in the UK! It seems very unfair on the UK market and leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

I like to feel as though I've a positive relationship with the shops I choose to spend my money in, and JCrew is off to a bad start, lovely as their stuff is!

MarshaBrady · 09/11/2013 18:54

Oh that is annoying, I didn't know that. We can all share price information these days!

Have fun Sleep.

LinusDKD · 09/11/2013 19:21

Evening.

one I hope you are ok today?

queenc tummy bugs are horrible. I agree with shop coca cola is great.

santa sounds like you had a very interesting job. I have no clue when it comes to interior design but I do try my best. This house is not our forever house so I am doing it myself but I would definitely consider hiring a professional for our next house.

And what a lovely vendor, leaving you flowers and a hamper after having been a difficult negociator

sleep your outfit sounds gorgeous. Have fun tonight!

umlauf how annoying! I just checked the price of the Tippi jumper in CHF and it is about £41 as well (discounted of course).

QueenCadbury · 09/11/2013 20:08

Evening! All better now thanks. A few glasses of lemon squash and dairy milk sorted me out.

Yay, amber for getting my top. Will you be blogging about it?

Have a good night those of you that are out. Our fireworks have been cancelled which I'm secretly relieved about!

santamarianovella · 09/11/2013 20:24

wow umlauf and linus that is really a big difference!i think we get charged a lot for import duties and tax,i really want to go and have a look, but i just know it will be crowded from now on till christmas!

sleep enjoy your night out!

Drywhiteplease · 09/11/2013 23:13

I'm going next weekend,.... Will report back.

AmberNectarine · 10/11/2013 07:02

I thought it might feature in a sparkle post QueenC

Have so much blogging material stored up - need to get on with some of it really!

QueenCadbury · 10/11/2013 07:21

amber I don't know how you find the time with a job and 2 dc. I can imagine I would start and then get bored after a few weeks.

I feel sparkles coming on today so will probably wear my sequinned jumper. We have friends coming to lunch who couldn't make my party so I imagine it will be a fizz fuelled lunch Grin.

Turquoiseblue · 10/11/2013 08:21

Novice ...Shock .... They must' ve really loved their oven! How petty. Would you have intended on keeping or replacing it ? I love decorating and choosing, can't wait until we finally have our house (another while yet financially as dh and I spent our 20's travelling and living it upSmile) but I adore my friends house that she just had done by the most amazing interior designer Envy)
love sparkles tooSmile am tempted by your top QC but really want coated or leather skinnies as my next purchase. Not sure I will wear them enough to justify a leather purchase, so might try pleather first !

Drywhiteplease · 10/11/2013 09:35

Sparkly jumper QueenC? Link please Smile

My favourite weather today....frosty,sunny and dry. Blue skies. "Walking" weather.

It's gone awfully quiet on here....is it the pre sale lull?

Just realised I wasn't around on MNV last Christmas......looking forward to Xmas outfits on here.

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 09:36

Quick qu. How long do magazines stay in store usually? For eg November issue of Vogue Paris? Should still be somewhere, need to find where.

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 09:36

Me too Dry, love this weather. Adore this time of year, up to Christmas in London.

MarshaBrady · 10/11/2013 09:37

Well, anywhere is lovely. But nice here too.
