Shop

That would so lose them a customer!

Mignonette · 06/11/2013 13:29

Queen

Reckon my approach was from this blog Hmm

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2013 13:30

Pre-dc QueenC, can't be bothered now! Unless people want to follow me round Sainsbury's - milk aisle chic.

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2013 13:34

Actually my look was I don't care back then too (but in a fashiony way of course!). I would like a bit of that back in terms of style. The slightest bit of grunge.

Great news on the camo Foxy.

QueenCadbury · 06/11/2013 13:35

Purchases from yesterday...

cobalt scarf. I wore it this morning in the school run.

sequin top. I 'needed' something new for a friends 40th next weekend as can't wear viv again as dh is stuck at home babysitting and I can't get in/out of it alone. I couldn't find anything I liked and then during a last desperate look round HOF I spotted it. Wasn't sure what it would look like but it was love at first try on. The colour is divine. It's called navy but it's almost indigo/purple in some lights. Will look fab with black 7/8 or rolled up jeans. It will definitely be the Christmas party top.

I also bought a green turtleneck from gap (not online) which seemed a good match for my emerald swatch although it wasn't making my face light up (which it should as one of my best colours). Bought it anyway to try at home but will be returning as I think there's just a touch too much yellow/warm tones in it to be stunning.

Mignonette · 06/11/2013 13:42

Oh I heart that Queen.

Lovely interviews in this months Harpers Bazaar. Loads of fashiony chat. Justine Picardie has done wonders /w this magazine.

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 14:01

Hello Lucy as a child of huge Beatles fans I like you already !Grin well done on your weight loss. I have 3 words to say to you cold person Uniqlo......HItech........vest ! Not v MNV but will keep you toasty.

Wow I really can't remember linking a cable knit a drink link?
Was it this one? Which I'm v partial to.
Or this cotton one which I'll have to see in London
Or this beauty?

Totally missed your links Marsha

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 14:04

I love this but not the price

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2013 14:07

That's a bit steep!

On mnv Dry. I was going to wait for the sales on one of them so put it there, although it didn't matter in the end as not getting either of them.

I really like the cable J Crew turtleneck one, in the dark green or navy.

Lovely sequin top and scarf QueenC.

casacastille · 06/11/2013 14:18

These are the coated skinnies. Please excuse the fact that they are called FannyHmm... French brand... I showed them to DD, she thinks they are cool and not inappropriate and she wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen out with me in them. I don't want to look like I'm trying to be 16.

Planning to wear with big jumpers, or heels and silk blouses for datesevenings out (rare). And never when out with DDs

Fantastic party top QueenC!

Cos is funny - so many high necklines that I don't like, but also some lovely, well-cut stuff.

I'm having to look for a petticoat/waist slip. Yes indeed. Not something I have ever worn in my life but I have a new pleated knee-length skirt (Top Shop sale bargain, now gone from site so no link) that I like very much but is rather transparentBlush

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 14:28

Foxy camo looks good. Coated skinnies were Oasis last year and have been good.

OneLittleLady · 06/11/2013 14:31

Todays outfit - grey acid wash skinnies, white shirt, black v neck cardigan with a large 'dirty' gold swallow necklace under the collar of the shit and a leopard print belt holding the cardi semi closed

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 14:34

Casa they look good to me, and you would wear them as I do. Sounds fab - go for it.
Dry and Marsha love the J Crew one. It may have to go on my Christmas list!

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 14:38

Love your top QueenC

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 14:46

The J crew comes in some lovely colours too.....but I don't like angora fusspot
Love the sequinned top QueenC
Lol Casa at the slip......I once mentioned the word slip at work to my 25yr old colleague, she looked at me as if I was from the Victorian age Hmm

LinusDKD · 06/11/2013 15:24

That J Crew turtle neck does look good and the colour range is impressive. Might pin it for when I have lost more weight and have another discount code

queenc that is a lovely top! I don't know why but I have nothing sparkly/sequinned in my wardrobe. Maybe because I won't get much wear out of it.

I have seen some pictures of sequinned skirts paired with a cashmere jumper and I like it, but would feel a bit overdressed in it myself.

casa those skinnies are lovely.

foxysocks · 06/11/2013 17:49

that top is FAAAAB queenc, SO you. I love it.

casa those skinnies look really lovely and good price!

how have I missed the j crew cable knit link - please can someone link again?

I was looking at the grey/jewelled j crew sweat that is on WIT best buys this week. it's so nice. might earmark some birthday money towards it.

foxysocks · 06/11/2013 17:50

I wore a sequinned jumper yesterday linus, just for daytime with a frayed denim mini and opaques/boots. i love that dressed down sparkles vibe.

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 18:21

Foxy this one...... Nice.

So, I went into town with dD after school to get her, ahem, a new hockey stick and came back with, this.... From my tiny provincial Gap, tucked away on the bottom shelf. I was very torn, and had to stay focused on the hockey stick cream because the grey and navy were very nice indeed. Now I want to look like this without the neck brace roll neck

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 18:26

Agree Foxy, I like sparkle with jeans for day which is why this as recommended by Grumpy is on my Christmas list. But just can't decide which colour.

LinusDKD · 06/11/2013 18:36

Oh that Wrap one in navy is lovely.

One day I might have to get over my fussiness about animal print, sequins/sparkles and lots of other things

I think I'm fussy because I have a fear of looking 'cheap'. In my mind I can hear DM whispering 'Vulgar', the biggest Crime against Fashion in her book. [Hyacinth Bucket emoticon]

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 18:51

Lol I just tried my new cable jumper with distressed jeans cuffed and a stripy l/s t underneath......looked bloody awful Grin. Nice jumper though.....

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 19:46

Am waiting in the car park for my Pilates class to start. I haven't been since April. This is going to hurt.....

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 19:59

May the force be with you Shop Grin

BrandyAlexander · 06/11/2013 20:18

Hello Voguettes! Paris was a shopping free zone so nothing to report! I had a message from Selfridges today that they contacted maxmara who have looked in their stocks and simply don't have my coat in a 6 or 8. This is like the helmut Lang cardigan saga isn't it?!

I had a lovely compliment today from a senior guy at work. He said I looked good in my dress (really simple navy Armani wool crepe dress) and shoes (the RB courts I obsessed about earlier this year). Made me smile.

I should own up to coveting an M&S sequinned jumper!
