I've got those C/E cords santa, I like them but they come up big so size down. Mine may regretfully have to be ebayed as the half a stone I lost when I was unwell seems to be staying off (shame).

AmberNectarine · 06/11/2013 07:48

Funny you linked the cable knit sweaters Marsha, because I was at the Laura Ashley press day yesterday and they had an outfit on a mannequin - cream cable knit jumper and pale floral print pencil skirt - and I thought 'i can really see that on marsha'

They had some really nice bits actually - lots of broderie (as you might expect for S/S) and it looks like geometric print jumpers and checks are here to stay, but diluted in softer tones. A few things I have my eye on.

Doing Boden and Next today. Had an absolute glut of them for today but can only fit in two and even that will be a stretch. Am wearing J Crew navy school of fish print Tippi, FWM navy tapered trousers, Gap navy trench, Boden orange pointy slingbacks and neon pink Raoul saddle bag. Bling (novice style, though not quite her league) is YSL cobalt arty and navy strap Olivia Burton watch.

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 07:52

One you're on a roll Smile

Justa you're making me want some grey skinnies and I thought my wardrobe was complete Grin

Drywhiteplease · 06/11/2013 07:54

Ines would be proud Amber Wink

LinusDKD · 06/11/2013 08:30

Morning!

amber it sounds like you are very busy.

santa I really like those cords. And I say that as someone who doesn't own anything animal print as I am superfussy.

I think it all depends on how you style it, not too keen on how Shopbop have styled it.

I probably won't return the Boden jumper (because I is lazy) but to be fair I haven't really tried it on properly.

marsha have you looked at J Crew for a cable knit jumper. dry linked a lovely one but I don't remember whether it was a turtleneck.

Today I am wearing cobalt Esprit skinny cords, white H&M shirt, grey cashmere cardigan, MbMJ polkadot scarf and bikers.

It's raining here. Again.

lucyintheskywithdinos · 06/11/2013 08:59

May I join in? I have recently lost 3 stone (just a few lbs more to go!) and am in desperate need of updating. Especially jumpers, I'm really feeling the cold!

I'm going shopping with my friend on Saturday, and must return with jumpers, cardigans, long sleeved tops and at least one going out outfit. I'm looking at things online, but struggling.

Sleepwhenidie · 06/11/2013 09:52

Morning everyone, welcome Lucy - congratulations on the weight loss. Give us a bit of info to help us suggest stuff - what type of thing do you like? Plain/patterened? What colours, what budget, what style? Are you on Pinterest?

I am skipping the gym and getting a few jobs done at home before I go to get my hair done later - the darker shade means not much of an issue with roots so I haven't been for nearly 9 weeks Shock - usually I am desperate to get there after 6. I have pointed out to DH that I am actually saving us money by being less blonde Smile

Am wearing leather DVF skirt with Helmut sweater, white ball pendant and Pistols. Was going to wear Zadig fur but its too warm and wet out there...

Marsha I wasn't overly keen on either of the jumpers...is it definitely cream you want?

One how are you doing this morning? Drop me an email update. Good decision re the dietician I agree. Even better that you feel empowered by it Grin!

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 11:20

Anyone want the RL breton in a medium at half price? www.stylebop.com/gb/product_details.php?menu1=categories&ref=&menu2=15&id=399971

Mignonette · 06/11/2013 11:41

WIT is doing a live tweet/online thingy (technical term, that) from Boden.

Do they get disclaimers from all those attending as to the possibility of being photographed? I'd be really iffy about being in the background of shots/promo films. I wouldn't want that to happen to me. I was asked if I could have my photo taken a year ago for some blog and said no because the idea of coming across my image on some random pin freaked me out. I also would need editorial control Grin.

Mignonette · 06/11/2013 11:41

Hi Lucy. Are you on pin? Welcome!

OneLittleLady · 06/11/2013 11:48

Welcome Lucy brilliant job on the weight loss Smile

LinusDKD · 06/11/2013 11:51

Welcome lucy! Well done on the weight loss!

I had ordered some J Crew Vintage tees (at a discount) and they arrived today. They are lovely, especially the Byzanthian Blue one so I hope they wash well.

DH is becoming a J Crew fan as well after having bought some shirts in NY. I also bought him some boxer shorts online and Mr. Super Fussy about boxer shorts (and shoes, and ties) really loves them.

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2013 11:58

Linus good point re J Crew. I really liked that one Dry linked. Could be the one.

Hi Lucy welcome, congrats on weight loss! Pinterest is a good start.

Sleep I don't think so, my only criteria is that it's warm, fits under a coat comfortably (no low arms, but can be cosy) and I'm happy to wear it with dc hanging around - so not worried it will get ruined. And that I'll want to wear it a lot during winter.

Amber sounds very pretty, looking forward to seeing it.

Mig I'm the same, the thought of not having editorial control gives me the cold sweats, as you all have probably realised by now Grin. Dh and I used to get stopped in the street for style blogs, but obviously we declined what with being too cool and aloof and all.

J Crew must be open?!

LinusDKD · 06/11/2013 12:02

[[http://www.precious-london.com/tucker/cats-eye-classic-blouse-mint/#.UnovU7K9KSN shirt] for dry.

I linked it a while ago and you liked it but now it's 30% off. Maybe an idea for Mr. Dry?

casacastille · 06/11/2013 12:05

Hello everyone! I've been trying to keep up, but work/kids/life keep getting in the way.

I love all the Cos stuff liberty. I live in their skinny trousers and silky tops for work. I've just been browsing for a boxy slouchy jumper for weekend wear with skinnies but instead found this rather nice dress. I'm a bit wary of merino though - I had found the perfect jumper but had to send it back as it was merino and too itchy. Is Cos merino itchy for the sensitive of skin?

Also I need some opinions. I have just received some black coated skinnies I ordered on a whim and they are a perfect fit and have a very subtle sheen, not bin-bag shiny, but I can't decide whether to keep them. I'm 42 have teenage DDs who wear coated jeans... and I don't want to look like a desperate divorcee! What do you think ladies?

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 12:08

Welcome Lucy and huge congrats on the weightless.
Linus My vintage tees wash fine but I do them in laundry bags, on a hand wash cycle in the machine.

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 12:11

Casa I'm 41 and wear black coated skinnies - mine aren't too shiny - I love them with a chunky jumper…...

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 12:12

Friday Marsha

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 12:13

Mig when I went for my facial on Monday they were filming a documentary. There was a sign at the entrance saying "by entering these premises you are consenting to being filmed, or your voice being heard on film unless you tell the staff otherwise….." Hmm

shopafrolic · 06/11/2013 12:15

Marsha was the one I pinned for you on MNV too chunky around the neck?

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2013 12:26

Thanks Shop! I think so, I might feel a bit neck-bracey on me. That is cheeky re filming. Did you have to say anything in the end?

Casa I think they should be fine, but do you have a link? Not sure on Cos merino, lovely dress.

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2013 12:27

Much more like it in terms of original price and discount. I want bang for my buck.

foxysocks · 06/11/2013 12:44

where are your coated skinnies from, shop? I would love some but not sure where to look...

foxysocks · 06/11/2013 13:03

oooo camo sweat here and FAB! so pleased. fits perfectly and in great condition. want to wash and wear straight away! when ebay is good it's really good, just a shame it's such a gamble.

QueenCadbury · 06/11/2013 13:26

Feel like I've missed loads as I was doing PTA stuff last night.

lucy welcome.

casa if I wore skinnies i'd wear coated ones and I'm 40 (just don't wear skinnies as I find them so restrictive and tight on my legs) as I like them. Presumably you will wear them totally differently to dd?

santa I'm not personally keen on the cords but I'm sure they could look great styled in the right way.

dry I thought I wanted grey jeans until I tried some on. I felt they made my thighs look huge.

foxy glad the sweat is good.

I can't imagine ever being asked to feature in a blog. Kudos to those of you that have been approached.
