Mignonette · 05/11/2013 15:38

This cocktail looks delish!

OneLittleLady · 05/11/2013 15:48

that sounds amazing mig I love vermouth.

QueenCadbury · 05/11/2013 15:52

Getting free chocolate would excite me more than 80% off cashmere Grin

one it's an amazing achievement. You go on about it as much as you want Smile

Well done migs ds.

liberty you're right about the money and bag. I think I was just disappointed because I expected it to be amazing as I loved it online but irl it was just so ordinary. It didn't feel worth £350. I am officially a cheapskate Grin.

OneLittleLady · 05/11/2013 15:59

I too am a cheapskate and proud QueenC Grin

Drywhiteplease · 05/11/2013 16:02

Who mentioned cocktails???!!! Shock Mig looks delicious but I have to say I've become a huge fan of (linus'?) White lady.
Liberty love all the Cos links....funnily enough I really loved the pink sweater with patches which you've now bought I think.
Shop I'd love to grow an extra inch! maybe I should visit your man.
One have a feeling this diet and all the positivity could be life changing....you have done so well and great to hear you sound so happy. Brag away.....we don't bore easily Smile
QueenC I really am with you on the bag dilemma. I have only bought two really pricey bags for me . I spent ages searching for the "do it all bag" which is nigh on impossible for me. I bought this which I've worn and worn and really adore although many people would think its a bit boring . The Nancy was a complete impulse buy , not at all practical and I hardly ever use it but I love it so much. this has also been a fantastic buy! I'm wearing it all the time now. I actually only use those 3 bags now for day time. It's all I need. but of course want loads more Grin
Keep looking and you will eventually fall in love....I'm a great believer in fashion fate.

Today I'm trying to look like
this but without the swishy hair and pearls. Have chilly feet.

OneLittleLady · 05/11/2013 16:07

I've decided, I'm not going back to see that nasty, horrible, dietitian. i don't need her, I'm doing fine without her and I certainly don't need her belittling what I've done. I also don't want her taking any credit for my weight loss because the advice she gave me was shit anyway.

Drywhiteplease · 05/11/2013 16:23

Agree One .....the thing with diets is it's a question of it being the right time and finding the right eating plan for you. Seems that you've found both and you're over the first hurdle. It's so encouraging to see results so quickly and these should stop you getting disheartened and encourage you to stick to it .Smile

QueenCadbury · 05/11/2013 16:26

dry as you know the radley grovesnor is my ultimate bag. If they did that in grey with silver metalwork I'd be very happy Grin

OneLittleLady · 05/11/2013 16:31

Thanks Dry I feel that not going back to the dietitian is the right choice for me. It feels good to choose something for myself instead of someone else choosing for me IYSWIM?

Mignonette · 05/11/2013 16:32

The first hurdle with changing diet and lifestyle is introducing advice without making the client feel like a piece of crap. Some HCP's cannot do this without transmitting an air of 'you're wrong, what you do is wrong'. The client goes away feeling small and even more likely to comfort eat.

You have clearly found somebody who clicks with you One and builds you up rather than knocking you down.

OneLittleLady · 05/11/2013 16:35

Yes Mig, that was exactly the problem with the dietitian I saw, she made me feel so crap and small. I was in tears all the way home because I felt so disgusted with myself and so awful. She obviously doesn't know how to , i don't know what the word is but she just doesn't seem to have any warmth or any kindness in her IYSWIM?

RubyLovesShopping · 05/11/2013 18:16

Marsha I prefer the I&I one but agree wait for a reduction or better option.
QueenC Re the bag I think you have to really love it, also is it a birthday gift to yourself? If so needs to be memorable.
Mig if your coat turns up on the outnet will you still get it or has Vb put you off?
Justasecond I did order the grey whistles jumper last week, it's coming thurs if yours arrives let me know what you think.
I have also started a pre Christmas eating and more exercise regime, hoping to feel thinner and fitter in 6 weeks.
Meanwhile all my shopping time has been browsing Xmas stuff and presents. But I'm still reading and keeping up with the thread.

MarshaBrady · 05/11/2013 19:02

Thanks everyone re jumpers. I agree. I will wait for something on the outnet. I would prefer to spend under £100 but with a big discount. Or likewise in the sales.

QueenC yes agree, it has to be something you really want, when you see it you'll know. Also something on sale I think is a good way to go. And yes to the choc, plus we got money back too. Free choc and extra £ = student nirvana!

LinusDKD · 05/11/2013 19:25

Evening!

mig congrats to your DS!

queenc of you don't feel in love/lust with that bag it's no use spending that amount of money.

just likewise, if you don't absolutely love that bag you should send it back and wait until you find something perfect.

shopit sounds like you had a great night. It's all too easy as parents to forget you are also part of a couple and spending time together without DC is so important.

one you sound so positive! Don't let anyone (least of all that dietician) put you down.

dry just show your DH the J Crew coat and jumper you have been lusting after.

liberty that Cos jumper is beautiful. Sadly we don't have a Cos store here because they have lovely stuff.

I have never bought anything from an H&M collaboration after being shocked at the 'quality' of their Karl Lagerfeld collaboration many years ago.

The Boden red spotty jumper arrived and I am not sure about it. It is quite thin but I just quickly threw it on yesterday so maybe I need to try it with different outfits.

shopafrolic · 05/11/2013 20:57

Dry it was a woman! (Who stretched me)
marsha I looked at that I&I and loved it but was worried it looked holey around the cable bits?

santamarianovella · 05/11/2013 21:03

marsha I have not meet you ,but I can't "see" you wearing any of the sweaters you linked I feel the are anti- marsha. Grin

mig congrats to your ds,

linus it looked thick on the website, will you return it back?

What's everyone thoughts on leopard print?yay or nay? I have loved these, for awhile, they are %30,today.

Drywhiteplease · 05/11/2013 21:19

Santa I love leopard print accessories. Those skinnies could look amazing toned down with a black colour, keep it simple.
Shop I'm not fussed who stretches me!!Grin

MarshaBrady · 05/11/2013 21:22

Santa I love those. Very much, you should get them pronto!

Shop yes holes could be a problem.

Haha at anti-Marsha. Yep think you're right Grin

OneLittleLady · 05/11/2013 21:47

Santa I love leopard print and have been quietly rocking some leopard print skinnies myself (as an added bonus, my sister despises them and won't borrow them Wink 0

justasecond · 05/11/2013 21:52

Santa I like those cords. I tried some similar ones in Uniqlo here they were not a great fit on me though.
Liberty I have had my eye on the pink Cos jumper for a while and just bought it now that its reduced! I also have a chambray shirt I could wear with! Grin I think its the new mnv jumper Grin
My bag has definately grown on me and would have looked lovely with my outfit today of light grey coat and dark grey skinnies. I have been so busy and tired that have not had time to think about it properly yet. I think you are all right though I should send it back if I don't love it.
Anniani If you don't mind, please can you tell me/pm me the website with all the mj bags?
Ruby I missed the delivery of the whistles jumper today even though I requested they deliver to a neighbour, v annoying. If it arrives tomorow I will give you the lowdown on it.

OneLittleLady · 05/11/2013 21:55

That parcel I sent the other day has arrived and seems to have done what i wanted it to do Smile

libertychick · 05/11/2013 23:00

Good work on the parcel one.

Santa I'm not sure about the cords - how would you style them?

Justa I love that the Cos jumper is now an MNV one - I think 3 of us is enough to get that status!

Annianni · 06/11/2013 01:47

My Whistles cashmere arrived today's and I like it.
It's lovely and soft. Need to try it properly tomorrow with a longer vest etc, but for £30 reduced from £150 it's probably a keeper.

Justa the site is www.monnierfreres.com
I checked my coat and it looks fine.
I've not worn it that much though.

I love the Cos/mnv pink sweater.
Am on a spending ban now, after buying the 2 jumpers though (sob)

Congrats to Mig jr

Annianni · 06/11/2013 01:50

Love those cords Santa.

I'm up feeding Ds2, hope he doesn't make a habit of it!
