Tu clothes as Sainsburys particularly their pj bottoms which are 100votton anf heaper than M and S and are just as nice.

Triumph t shirt bra bought from TK Maxx for less than eight quid and the most comfortable bra that I own including my beloved Fantasie bras.

Superdrug restoring oil-I use this at night and it has in my opinion made a difference to my skin.

Max Factor CC Cream - the skin I always dreamed of

Letting my curly hair dry naturally = bouncy curls rather than a cloud of frizz

Mulberry bags are a waste of money and the quality is rubbish these days. Satchels from Scaramanga are the (ethical, bargainous) way to go from now on

JemimaMuddledUp · 30/10/2013 15:49

Superdrug Vitamin E Skincare range suits my skin better than the more expensive Boots No7 stuff I was using. Also it seems I was getting spots because my skin was dry and not because it was oily, as I thought.

Short hair suits me better than a bob, despite everyone I asked beforehand on MN saying "No! Don't do it!"

Short skirts can be flattering.

Getting my eyebrows waxed every 8 weeks makes me look far more groomed.

NYC and Rimmel nail varnishes applied at home last just as long on me as professional manicures.

Allthingsprettyreturns · 30/10/2013 16:00

Clarks National Sugar boots. Saw a thread on them on MN and practically bought th the next day

Clarks biker boots
Clinique CC cream
Coconut oil for hair, body and oil pulling
Una Brennan super facialist cleansing oil (amazing)
Kate Moss lipsticks

There must be more!

LordPalmerston · 30/10/2013 16:02

i changed the shade of my vitalumiere to one lighter.

that was good

and bobbi brown powder

MelanieCheeks · 30/10/2013 16:11

Oil pulling with coconut oil
Garnier 5 second blur
Benefit's Hoola lipgloss and bronzer
Jaegar, esp for dresses (but only in the sales, and I really miss my coral pashmina that I lost in Scotland)
Dubarry boots
Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio perfume
Rose gold watches from Fossil
Nails Inc manicures

Maybelline Brow Drama - great for daytime: eyebrows don't look made up, just spruced up.
Aveda Inner Light loose powder
Smashbox BB cream - been very iffy about the BB "phenomenon" but this is great, SPF35 too.
Sleek blush in Rose Gold - looks terrifying but you hardly use any. Apparently it's a dupe for Nars Orgasm (thanks S&B)
Dr Hauschka eye rejuvenating cream

Not cosmetic but life-changing: free weight/body weight workouts are fast and (mostly) fun and in 8 weeks have made a bigger difference than anything I have ever tried (thank you New Rules for Lifting people)

gaggiagirl · 30/10/2013 18:42

eve coconut oil comes in a glass jar and its next to the other oils such as olive and what not.

madmomma · 30/10/2013 19:12

Gap leggings jeans - the only jeans that don't cut my fat belly in half and make me look slimmer than I am.

REN moisturiser

clarks' brogues

that now my smallest child is nearly 2, and despite me still being fat and wobbly, I really don't want to only wear jersey anymore

that peroxyl mouthwash is a fabulous tooth whitener

that not wearing contact lenses for 6m has made my eyes go back to lovely clear whiteness (awaiting laser surgery)

MelanieCheeks · 30/10/2013 21:18

Good lick with the maser eye surgery, madmomma, I had it done 20 years ago and haven't looked back!

madmomma · 30/10/2013 21:24

Thanks melanie I've just had my consultation and apparently I have thin corneas which means I have to have LASEK rather than LASIK, which apparently is more painful :(

louwn · 30/10/2013 21:56

Glycolic/salicylic acid home peels from ebay
Crest whitening strips
Urban decay make up setting spray - sets make up even if you exercise with it on!
Soap and glory face brush
Smashbox eyeliner (for staying power)

louwn · 30/10/2013 21:57

What is oil pulling? I fear I have missed a phenomenon!

Snowlike · 30/10/2013 22:11

Colours done and wardrobe now matches.
My legs are not bad and shirts are fine.
Short skirts with thick tights and slouchy jumper
Cashmere and wool - so warm, so necessary.
My body looks better naked 1/2 stone heavier than it looks in clothes.
Green eyeshadow really suits me as does brick red lippy.

MelanieCheeks · 30/10/2013 22:24

Oil pulling is an ancient Indian practice involving swooshing oil around your mouth fir about 20 minutes before spitting it out. Promotes oral hygiene, whiter teeth, fresh breath.

conquita · 30/10/2013 22:32

Louwn:
soap and glory face brush - tell me more about it!

gaggiagirl · 30/10/2013 22:34

lou oil pulling is using coconut oil like you would use a mouthwash. I do a teaspoon for 10 mins a day
There are a few threads on it if you wanted to read about peoples results from oil pulling.

littledolly · 30/10/2013 22:45

That I look great in 36D, as opposed to the 38B that made me look horrific.

Bourjois Healthy Mix - my skin has never looked better

Vaseline for removing eye make up - have spent a fortune on eye make up removers over the years and nothing came close to how good this is at removing all traces of mascara

Eyebrow stencils

bluebump · 30/10/2013 22:59

I love those Gap legging jeans too, they are so flattering. Shame I was given mine and they are on their last legs and I can't afford a new pair! Grin

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo has reduced my pores loads. Actually more than using my Clarisonic did!

Colgate Max White One has actually visably whitened my teeth, so much so I told my colleagues and they all bought it and said the same.

Tube skirts are actually very flattering.

Corygal · 30/10/2013 23:07

The Stila, Benefit and L'Oreal from Poundland, thanks to MN.
Epilators save cash on threading your tash and hurt less.
Tod's driving shoes (as worn by Princess Di) more comfortable than Uggs.

On a negative note, TK Maxx is getting miles more expensive - ie discounts are less - but still cracking value for jeans and cashmere.

madmomma · 31/10/2013 08:16

Ooh what benefit stuff is in poundland? is it all dodgy colours?

TiredMule · 31/10/2013 09:20

Marking my place-I'm getting a very long shopping list Shock

mignonnette · 31/10/2013 09:21

This month's Elle Magazine has a Benefit lipgloss as a free gift- Dandelion or Hula shades.

Hopefully · 31/10/2013 09:28

Clarins one step cleanser toner which doesn't even need rinsing with water, for evenings when I am too knackered to wash my face properly. My skin is so much better as I am never ever going to bed with my make up on. Not that I ever did that before or anything...
