Tu clothes as Sainsburys particularly their pj bottoms which are 100votton anf heaper than M and S and are just as nice.

Triumph t shirt bra bought from TK Maxx for less than eight quid and the most comfortable bra that I own including my beloved Fantasie bras.

Superdrug restoring oil-I use this at night and it has in my opinion made a difference to my skin.

Conquita
Like a v low tech clarisonic! My skin feels very fresh when I use it once a day.

goldopals · 02/11/2013 05:32

Best discovery- losing 1.5 stone in 6 months :D I also discovered that I look great in skinny leg jeans and that I should not be afraid to experiment with clothes

ToffeeWhirl · 07/11/2013 08:58

Marking my place to read later...

Bambi75 · 07/11/2013 09:16

Becksongaard scarves - expensive but just lovely

Liz Earle skincare - had so many people say how well
I look since I've started using the range, despite having a 2 yr & 3 month old

Ash spiral boots

Uniqlo skinny tapered jeans - so comfortable and great for post baby body

Juliette has a Gun perfume - love the Lady Vengeance fragrance

House of colours

Boden - always thought it a bit old for me (I'm 37) but have learnt that if I choose carefully, go by the website reviews and stick to classic rather than busy patterns, the clothes can be great. And they wash and last so well.

Joules Alexi tunic - lovely shape and a great every day dress for looking good whilst running around with small kids

All of the above thanks to S&B!

NicolaSeven · 07/11/2013 17:48

I actually have a list that I've made from this thread.

HOC was life changing.
Clarisonic.
Tinting my brows.
Calamine face masks.

I love the internet

JohnSnowsTie · 07/11/2013 18:04

Oil Cleansing Method.

Clarks boots.

Leighton Denny nail file.

Neutrogena hand cream.

NicolaSeven · 07/11/2013 19:07

Oh oh and this on my eyebrows. You could run a lawnmower through them now.

john is the LD file better for your nails then?

BerryBlast · 07/11/2013 21:29

John I was coming on to say the Leighton Denny nail file :)

MsB it is so easy to use and your nails look a lot smoother than when you use an ordinary nail file. It does cost £12.50 in Boots, but it honestly money well spent, it is so easy to use (comes with a 25yr guarantee, as well)

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 07/11/2013 21:35

I have to add to previous post.

I really started taking notice of clothing colours today after umming and ahhing over all this season stuff, whether I'm an autumn etc.Today I bought my first seasoned clothes after surprisingly discovering that my lily white (autumn) skin looks fab in bright orangey reds, rusty colours and greens when I thought they would make me look like a corpse!

Bambi I spotted the Alexi tunic yesterday and it looks lovely but relaxed.Reckon it can be trendy enough for a 31 yo?

PiratesCat · 07/11/2013 23:39

Thanks to MN:
Bravura Dermaflannel (cheapo Amazon ones even better)

Soap & Glory Foot File

Coconut Oil (for oil pulling, body moisturiser, night cream)

Rimmel lipsticks

Smashbox Eyeliner pencil (the only thing that vaguely stays on my oily eyelids. Oddly though only 'smoke' is ok. The blue one smudges on me.)

Estee Lauder Double Wear Lite foundation

Other finds:
Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment (great for chapped lips and chapped skin)

Uniq One Hair Treatment (unbelievable for de-tangling,de-frizzing, getting shot of flyaways, adding volume )

Gel Nails (for special occasions. Didn't ruin my nails)

That there's no point having long hair if it's crap long hair. A return to my longish A line bob looks far better than the lank, thinning, shedding, brittle, breaking off mop.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/11/2013 00:16

That a pair of M&S indigo jeggings and long boots looks infinately better than my faded old Status Quo style jeans that have gone a bit baggy round my bum and I can take them off without undoing the zip and button Blush

madmomma · 08/11/2013 09:05

Love it 70 Grin

Bexicles · 08/11/2013 09:22

Mine is double cleansing, I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin. Have realised I must have been going to bed with a dirty face for years and never realised!

Also Avon glimmerstick, I have about 5 of them!

Re Alexi Tunic - yes I think so. I'm a young looking (so people tell me) 37 yr old and it doesn't in any way age or frump me. I bought the navy ditsy one which I wear with black leggings and knee boots or my sam edelman ankle boots and I think it looks fab. The material is a heavier weight jersey and feels lovely on. I haven't washed it yet though mind

Is Liz Earl really fab? I have hideously break out type skin and despair of anything making a difference. I tried it once but it didn't seem to make much difference, does one need to really persevere?

My love discovery this year is everything Dermalogica. Just makes my skin feel so fresh and clean although I can't pretend it looks a whole lot different tbh.

madmomma · 08/11/2013 10:23

Gah! Now I've discovered joules dresses - so many nice, wearable day ones

Vibbe · 08/11/2013 11:09

Sleek eyeshadows and blushers. Great quality, low price.

Shiseido - I've never really rated them, but they've just come out with a new series called Ibuki, and it seems perfect for my skin.

Highlighter - I've had loads of highlighters for years but have never used them properly.

Real Techniques brushes.

Clarins everlasting foundation.

Clinque take the day off cleansing balm.

HazleNutt · 08/11/2013 14:46

Colours. That it doesn't matter how pretty and good quality and whatnot something is, if the colour is not right, it does nothing for me. And if it is the right colour, I get compliments when wearing an old t-shirt.

DunderMifflin · 08/11/2013 18:07

Marky mark for later...

MrsMaryCooper · 08/11/2013 19:04

Soap and Glory foot file
Gettin my eyebrows done ( not threaded far too painful and makes me sneeze)
Rapid Lash
BB cream L'oreal and Boots Botanics
Maybelline 7 days nail varnish - great brush
Electric toothbrush

ToffeeWhirl · 09/11/2013 21:09

Those of you who've had your colours done: did you use House of Colour or Colour Me Beautiful?

Cheesyslice · 09/11/2013 21:19

Topshop Leigh skinny jeans. Never looked back. Keep their colour and their shape, plus they're not hideously priced.

Bare Minerals make up.

Tigi Bed Head Queen for a Day thickening spray.

Saurus72 · 09/11/2013 21:41

I really hate Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - makes me break out and doesn't take off my eye make up very well.

Clinique Lids Lashes and Lips make up remover. Spendy but excellent.

MUA eyeshadows amazingly good and amazingly cheap.

Clinique Superprimer - really really good under make up.

Whistles - non-frumpy clothes for grown ups. Only in the sale though.

Monsoon - no more. Frumpy frump frumpsville.

Less is more - buy less, buy better.
