If you were in your 40s and going out 'clubbing' what would you wear?

I usually wear skinnies and high heels but am getting bored of it. I have decent legs but hate my norks.

If skinnies, are there any nice tops around? If not skinnies, what?

I love this kind of dress

MissDD1971 · 15/09/2013 15:23

Pavlov that's really nice,very 60s and flattering.

PavlovtheCat · 15/09/2013 15:24

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/09/2013 15:27

Thanks, Pavlov. Not my sort of thing though - shift dresses are awful on my shape.

miss they are! I have three or four of this shape dress, in various colours and slightly different necklines. The style hides any lumps and bumps, and if worn with either wedges or heeled boots, adds some length to my short legs. I wear these type of dresses in the winter with boots, either heeled or biker style, or in the summer with wedges or sandals. I like them as I can wear them dressed down in the day, to look a bit groomed (even without make-up or hair done), and in the evening with full make-up, hair, nails etc to look wow.

PavlovtheCat · 15/09/2013 15:28

Oh really OP? that's such a shame! I bet with the right shoes they would look awesome.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/09/2013 15:29

Love this but it is a) out of stock and b) another black dress!

ANYWAY i darkened the door of Matalan the other day to buy one of these www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2542288?id=S2542288&color=C327 and they had lots of shorts in

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/09/2013 15:39

Leather shorts deffo a no.
I like the Matalan ones but haven't got a Matalan. Your ones look very short, but I might get away with the slightly longer ones.

Tempted by the jumpsuit though. :)

Plastic shorts even more of a no than leather.

I like that dress a lot. Print across norkage and high neck not a great combo though.

Lol - I nearly posted the purple one about half an hour ago, and decided I was terrified of it. :)

The thought of clubbing makes me wince. I am 43 and way too old.

I did end up in a hideous late night venue recently on a mums' night out (blerk). It was full of skinny jeans, sparkly tops, ham arms & nude shoes.

Screwfox · 15/09/2013 15:42

reviews do say that it is thin

Screwfox · 15/09/2013 15:43

HAM arms

Awesome
I hate nude shoes
