A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.

dry thanks. I roll up my straight legs all the time in summer with sandals so just need to try it out for AW. I'm thinking both pair of my boots may be too high on the ankle though. I need to do a proper trying on session.

mrs if those grey were in my size I would get them.

Welvome blooming. Parkas aren't my cup of tea but it's a great colour.

bloomingheather · 15/09/2013 20:14

Aargh, i meant to say that I was very fond of blooNing as a nickname! I got too excited Wink

shopafrolic · 15/09/2013 20:16

Blooming I'll keep my eyes out for other parkas for you. Just link one of your pins and we can follow if you want us to.
Have posted a pic of me in the Dagmar with my baggies on the MNV board if anyone wants a giggle x

I know not all cashmere is equal but this scarf seems to be a good price.

OneLittleLady · 15/09/2013 20:20

Ahhh, you all look fab in the pics on the MNV board. I wish I had even half as much style and dress sense! I just don't seem to be able to pull things together in the same way you all do. No matter what, I always look teenagery Hmm

MrsRadicchio · 15/09/2013 20:22

I'm generally happy if they've got a pulse Dry

Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2013 20:24

Grin I'm an idiot! Grin

Shop love the Vogue board.in my teens I was given a book called "The Art of Vogue covers", I was obsessed by the amazing illustrations.
Anna Wintor is such a chic scary lady. Her hair is always immaculate, and her Chanel collection is Shock Envy

Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2013 20:27

MrsR I'm obviously suffering from post party syndrome.........explain the pulse comment, I'm lost!
.............off to look at Shop

Annianni · 15/09/2013 20:28

And what style of jeans are you after Linus?

Lovely photo Shop.
So glad I started that board, it's great actually seeing outfits.

QueenCadbury · 15/09/2013 20:28

So, remember I said that I wasn't going to buy anything until London. Well bollocks to that (obviously as i've already bought stuff). It's too cold to wait another month! I've figured if I buy now I'll get more cpw.

So after extensive thinking the AW list is as follows...
Navy long sleeve blouse, grey long sleeve blouse, white long sleeve blouse or tee, emerald cardigan (as always but I'll never find the right colour), Chinese blue cardigan (ditto), raspberry cardigan, heeled boots in grey, mole or navy, grey bag, emerald/pink or cobalt bag, cobalt scarf, emerald scarf, day dress. That should all do me nicely thank you very much! Some of these things will go on my birthday list. Hoping this cold feels better by tomorrow so that I can enjoy shopping.

OneLittleLady · 15/09/2013 20:29

Have added something to the MNV pinboard Smile

Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2013 20:30

I get it now MrsR!!!! I meant "a man who can SEW........not SEE"!!!!!!!!!! God I'm having a crisis! Linus said her DH was going to take her jeans in!

QueenCadbury · 15/09/2013 20:30

I agree anni, it's a fab board!

shopafrolic · 15/09/2013 20:30

It's a great board Anni I hope you don't mind that we've hijacked it?
MrsR ROFL
Dry you said how great to have a man who can see (typo) MrsR doesn't seem to mind if they can see, as long as they have a pulse

LinusDKD · 15/09/2013 20:52

Welcome blooming! And those Cos tees look lovely but I look better with a lower neckline or a v-neck.

santa those trousers are lovely. Me want!

anni I am looking for skinnies ideally but I am open to other styles.
Size is a bit tricky. I have pairs in a 28, 29 and 30 and all of them fit me. I guess it all depends on the amount of elasthane in them.

dry yes, DH can sew! I, on the other hand, can most definitely not.

shopafrolic · 15/09/2013 20:58

Yes but can he see Linus? Grin

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2013 20:58

Ooh you do Shop .... Would love to see them.
QueenC thanks for all of the pins....lots of ideas.

Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2013 20:59

Beat me to it Shop Grin

BrandyAlexander · 15/09/2013 20:59

Evening all! Hope you have all had good weekends. Ours was usual manic Saturday morning activities followed by rained in afternoon. It's great, for the first time, dc2 was able to properly join in with arts & crafts time Smile. I used to do it every sunday afternoon with dd but then have hardly done it over the last year. we made crowns and magic wands and ds was able to do the gluing of the bits and bobs onto the crown all by himself. Feels like a giant step! Anyway, dinner and theatre last night with dh and today has been mostly at home and more crafts - this time making birthday cards.

My top today not great. It's this kaliko top. Seemed a good idea at the time but is a size 8 and so baggy. Not a good look on a short arse. It might be zipping to the charity box after a wash and iron! I am also semi regretting this helmut lang sweater. I love it but I got it in a small and should have got a xs so it's a bit too baggy. I think it was the fact that it was with 50% discount means sense didn't prevail and I didn't return it. I have a stupid habit of buying too big and then regretting it. Wally!

hello to blooming, Marsha, glad you got more good work next week, QueenC glad you're feeling better.
