Lovely shopping everyone.

Try again later Liberty.

Does anyone remember when I was obsessed with these beauties? :o

I've been stalking them for ages, playing chicken with the sales and watching them get reduced. Daren't wait any longer, so i've just ordered them.
I tried a us9 when Matches' sale first started (which I usually am in Sam Edelman) and they were huge... so fingers crossed for the us8.

Finally tried J Crew cashmere yesterday, and it is huge but looks lovely with my Goldsign Diva's and I can see myself wearing it a lot in Winter.

Undecided on these James jeans they are very dark navy, but not sure what shoes i'd wear with them... need to have another try I think.

MrsRadicchio · 23/07/2013 10:52

Outnet working again!

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 23/07/2013 10:57

Oh Anni Your new purcheses are gorgeous! I have some dark navy jeans that I have been wearing with white chelsea boots for years.

Speaking of cashmere, I'll need a little help from you lot in the next couple of months and here's why.

I always buy really cheap knitwear, I've never paid more than £10. This is because I have no idea what to get and I am afraid that if I buy something more expensive I will ruin it or it will go out of shape of it's own accord and I will have wasted my money.

In a couple of months time I will give myself a budget of £200 and buy some decent knitwear. Will you all help me throught the process?!

LinusDKD · 23/07/2013 11:06

Thanks McNally for the pm!

I tried forwarding the mesaage to as many people as possible but DPIL were waiting for me to take a family picture in the garden Hmm so I just managed to buy a bright blue I&I cashmere jumper and pm 3 or 4 people and then I had to run.

Will look at everyone's links later when I've got 5 seconds to myself.

Annianni · 23/07/2013 11:07

Of course we'll help you spend money Paris :o

Just tried the James again and I'm sending them back.
They feel like trousers on, and look daft with my 3 pairs of new boots.

Annianni · 23/07/2013 11:11

Dh has just text me saying ds2's name is one of the bookies' favourites for the royal baby Hmm

MarshaBrady · 23/07/2013 11:12

Ha yes Paris yes of course Grin

Lovely shopping Anni.

Ah Liberty I probably won't keep everything I already have I&I overload guilt. Probably just one silk top anyway. Who has those, are they good?

Sorry I didn't get you all in the pm, I just grabbed a list from the meet up as takes ages to get all names, went for speed!

Topazandpearl · 23/07/2013 11:13

Thank you Marsha for the pm! Been trying all morning and have finally managed to get the blue I&I. Am quite excited as it will be my first cashmere sweater Smile.
Hope everyone is happy with their purchases and good luck to those still trying!

MrsRadicchio · 23/07/2013 11:17

Paris are you not tempted by the Iris and Ink cashmere? Gets good reviews on here.

Nice shopping Anni. Did you ever get the adenas?

In my on going shoe buying binge (tbf most going back so far) I have bought these

sam edelman aster

25% extra off on shoeaholics.

I meant to ask what everyone wore yesterday, the hottest day since 2006?! I wore polka dot palazzos and grey t-shirt. Project 333 has so far taught me that I need some good quality t-shirts. I went through a phase of getting chinti and parker t-shirts but the quality doesn't seem too good, they are v delicate in any case. Either they have holes or are completely misshapen, or would you think that is reasonable for t-shirts I bought 2 years ago?

I love this on the outnet but sitting on hands in case it isn't my colour. Also comes in pink

QueenCadbury · 23/07/2013 11:21

Morning. Thanks for the pm marsha and mcnally. I just had a browse at the dresses and if I wanted black then there are loads I would have ordered but nothing in a cobalt that I'd prefer. Although I still can't get that dvf jumpsuit out of my head.

Great shopping everyone. Glad you all got bargains. mrsR saltwaters are great aren't they? I've hardly taken mine off!

Dd1 leaves infants tomorrow and have just been to her leavers service. I was a blubbing mess!

Annianni · 23/07/2013 11:25

I did find a 6.5 in the Selfridges sale MrsR, but they were £75.
Brand alley had them for £50 ish but no half sizes.

They have a new version of the shoe on Shopbop which are leather, might order those at some point.

Love that i&i, very nice.

QueenCadbury · 23/07/2013 11:27

mrsR it depends on how often you've worn and washed them. I hate paying much for tees as I always find them to mis-shape in the end so I stick to Dorothy Perkins.

paris I don't spend much on knitwear either. I've never bought cashmere as I'm scared to that I'll ruin it (or rather that dd will with mucky fingers).

Still not convinced by the pencil skirt look for me. Since getting rid of my skirts that I used to wear for work I now don't own any. I think I must have funny proportions as I find it hard to know what tops to wear with them. Things tucked in just cut me in half so not a good look. I do the semi tuck with jeans so it may work with skirts I guess.

santamarianovella · 23/07/2013 13:18

thanks mcnally and linus for the pm, i did see alot of things i like but they have soldout Sad.

shopbop are offering %25 off all sale items,

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 23/07/2013 13:36

Can I also add my thanks for the PMs this morning too.

I was going for that grey I&I also Marsha...until the site crashed [grrr]

Love those sandals Foxy and when I clicked the link saw that the yellow/black I favoured were still (just) available in my size. Then I gave myself a good shake because I've already got SE Gables in yellow/zebra and just how many chances would I get to wear 2 styles of sandals in v similar colourways? Reining myself in - I'm v proud Grin

Off on hols tonight and, while I've had my despatch emails from J Crew for the 2 dresses, they have yet to arrive. Everything crossed they get here before 6pm, but I'm thinking they won't. They'll probably arrive tomorrow when I'm halfway to Portugal.

shopafrolic · 23/07/2013 13:47

Oooo - loving all the fab links on the thread.
Anni so pleased you got those fab Sam Edelman trainers - I love it when the wait pays off
MrsR I love those shoes - and that cashmere jumper, I very nearly bought it in the green.
Foxy are you the C on Pin who is pinning lots of fab looks for AW13? Lovely things! I'm glad you're back with us :)
I'm kicking myself for not ordering the purple I&I in a medium now but I doubt I've shrunk!
Hottest day of the year yesterday was spent feeling hot and horrid in GAP boyfriend shorts and a tee with my Sam Edelman Gables which got lots of compliments. I've had a lot of people telling me my legs look good in shorts so that's been a plus as I've been really self conscious. I didn't ever show off my legs in my 30s, I figure this is my last chance. Perhaps I'll get braver for AW and try a skirt.......
I was hoping that fab red patterned skirt that MrsR linked to on the Outnet would be in clearance but unfortunately not!
I am also lacking basic tees I realise - mainly because I've made poor fabric choices and I need to get more natural fibres. Does anyone have a great basic grey tee from anywhere they can recommend? I can't do modal in grey in hot weather it seems Blush
Paris last year was my first time splashing out on better quality knitwear. So far, so good. I've been able to machine wash my cashmere in laundry bags on a cold handwash cycle, and merino wool has been successful for me too....... As Anni says - always happy to help you splurge!
Right - who have I missed?

Amber love your new challenge - is now a good time to launch your Fashion Fairy idea if you can't shop for yourself.....?

McNally · 23/07/2013 14:08

Great trainers Anni and well done with the restraint in your game of chicken with them! (You clearly have good taste in DS names too!).

Enjoy your holiday Grumpy. Hope the dresses arrive.

I recently bought this grey Gap t shirt shop and am pretty happy with it. It is 100% cotton and was cheap (and on 3 for 2) so doesn't matter too much if it wears out. It comes up big, so looks quite slouchy rather than fitted as it appears on the website. Also think the J Crew vintage cotton t shirt is pretty good. Less uniform colour than the Gap one, if that makes sense. Also quite slouchy.

QueenCadbury · 23/07/2013 14:23

shop have you tried h&m?

shopafrolic · 23/07/2013 14:25

I seem to struggle with twisted seams on H&M stuff QueenC - not sure if I'm washing things wrong?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 23/07/2013 14:31

Thanks for those McNally - Marsha is your neon J Crew that vintage one? (I know I've asked you that before - sorry!)

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 23/07/2013 14:33

Any J Crew codes knocking about at the moment please?

Annianni · 23/07/2013 14:45

Who mentioned Shopbop with the extra 25% off????

Just got these Goldsign's...

And as they were going to charge me postage, I threw this and this in my basket... so postage was then free.
:o

I have the plum one in pale grey and have worn it loads, thought plum would be nice for A/W.

Annianni · 23/07/2013 14:47

I have that Gap essential tee in grey and neon pink, it washes great.
