Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 22/07/2013 21:05

Following you back Dec

Good luck with the pencil skirt Dry. I considered that one too still considering this one for winter. Sorry for enabling!

Drywhiteplease · 22/07/2013 21:07

I'm going for Albert as a name

Drywhiteplease · 22/07/2013 21:08

Ooh Paris I love that one too...the zip is a nice detail.

QueenCadbury · 22/07/2013 21:09

I'm now imaging that you all lead glamorous lives to go out wearing pencil skirts and stilettos. I'm not sure that I could ever pull off that look.

one chin up, there's always next year. Or you never know what else may come along. I'm a great believer in things happening for a reason...

shopafrolic · 22/07/2013 21:11

Gorgeous skirts all....... I used to wear lots of pencil skirts when I worked.... Not sure they're so good for toddler chasing......

LeFreak funny you've bought the same skirt! My DD went through a phase or not sleeping terribly well, at about the same age, brought her in with us (felt guilty) it didn't last long, she didn't stay in our bed forever, just until the phase passed...don't beat yourself up about it.......it's easy to make rules until you go though it and find they need to bend a bit sometimes.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 22/07/2013 21:12

QueenC You are a blonde winter my friend, there is no way you're not glam!

Drywhiteplease · 22/07/2013 21:14

Linking? Thank you.

santamarianovella · 22/07/2013 22:27

paris ,you have the coolest pins! i have been wearing a lot of pencil skirts with tees lately, dec

queen you should dress up in a pencil skirt, with a simple tee and greet mr queen, and see what happens next! or later Wink

BrandyAlexander · 22/07/2013 22:39

Evening all. i am stuffed! Amazing views and great food. Smile My dress worked out well in the end for dinner but boy it was hot earlier!

santamarianovella · 22/07/2013 22:46

novice was it hutong that you dined at?

BrandyAlexander · 22/07/2013 22:57

Hi Santa yes it was Hutang. Great food but our table were a bit chilli and garlic mad. That little accompaniment dish of chillis and garlic oil they bring you at the beginning is a killer. But cocktails v yummy. As is the rice wine. Must brush teeth...!

santamarianovella · 22/07/2013 23:04

Thanks novice,DH is a huge fan of Asian food, and I'm getting bored of hakkasan! Will try to see if I could manage to book for beginning of August.

libertychick · 22/07/2013 23:17

There are 10, yes 10, bra threads on page 1 of S&B....how are people still talking about them??? We need to get some A/W clothes into the shops fast or I might just expire with boredom....

Sorry you are feeling low one - hope you feel better tomorrow.

Paris great pencil skirt pins.

Can't believe it's still 25 degrees...poor Kate, childbirth on the hottest day though I suppose the Lindo wing probably has aircon.

libertychick · 22/07/2013 23:20

Grin at Shop re Kate's skinny's! Do you reckon Pippa and Carole are in their right now helping her hoick them up? I remember pulling on tight jeans with a mate when I was younger - we would stand face to face holding the waistband of the other's jeans then jump up and down frantically till we got them up!!!!

BrandyAlexander · 22/07/2013 23:23

Santa, I haven't eaten at Hakassan for a long time, but I think the food there is probably better. Doesn't mean hutong is bad and it might just be because we went chilli mad! I hear the Hakassan at Berkeley square is v good - I have only eaten at the original one. Give hutong a try!

santamarianovella · 22/07/2013 23:40

yes the one on bruton street is very good we go there very often,we tried the hanway place one and were not impressed, will give it a try.

LeFreakCestChic · 22/07/2013 23:53

paris, I had my eye on that skirt too but am still a bit wary of pencil skirts as I would wear them to work and they feel too tight/ inappropriate ( just how I feel in them). Now trying to break out of that with the me and em dresses and a couple of pencil skirts ( in larger sizes!).
What does one wear with a pencil skirt to keep the look smartish but toned down for work?
dry, I'm just crap & lazy with getting my kids to sleep in the own beds! Does 4 years for DC1 count as a phase? Blush

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 23/07/2013 00:19

Seems busier on here at midnight than midday!

Sweltering here despite recent cool shower. Got the windows open for air but the thunder's quite noisy. Still catching up via iPhone on 3G because wifi link keeps disappearing - the pleasures of the sticks. Can't open many of the links so I'm going to have a proper catch up tomorrow at work. On the subject of grey jeans, I bought some Pepe grey jeans from Asos that I'd really recommend - comfy and sexy.
Going to try to go to sleep now, but it's difficult as I'm watching Elementary on TV and I love Lucy Liu, so can't switch it off.

QueenCadbury · 23/07/2013 03:39

I've just been woken up by the loudest thunder and the brightest thunder and now can't sleep. Thank goodness that dh is here otherwise I'd be really scared. Can't believe the kids haven't woken up!

santa somehow me dressing down a pencil skirt with a tee wouldn't work. It would look like I'd got dressed in the dark. I'm not cool enough to pull off that kind of look. I can o casual, I can do glam but I can't combine the two Confused. Sure mr queen would love it though Wink
