someone ran over my already broken toes with their mobility scooter today and then shouted at me for being in the way Angry my poor toes have now gone from the purple they were to black again

mignonette · 31/07/2013 21:06

One - How to wear Tulle #1 (Not that I am suggesting you need lessons, Wink)

mignonette · 31/07/2013 21:06

Forgot the darn link here One

OneLittleLady · 31/07/2013 21:16

I'll have you know I'm SUPREMELY stylish mig Wink well...I'd like to think I am but if wearing a mens t-shirt and spongebob knickers is stylish then I've hit my peak Grin

mignonette · 31/07/2013 21:22

One that Spongebob outfit is very Corinne Day/Kate Moss Vogue editorial circa 94. You recall the one with La Moss in her knickers? Well, that is you in my mind. Edgy, British sensibilities with a tutu hanging up on the wardrobe ready for the school run....Smile

mignonette · 31/07/2013 21:27

One Those goddamn scooters! I have been known to yell at a few of these scooter-thugs and chase them...

Plaster cast foot will look even edgier with the tutu, like a 'LOVE' magazine/Katie Grand shoot! You should get one.

BrandyAlexander · 31/07/2013 21:29

Grin at One!

Shop, you're welcome to any of my US trips...I will be there twice in September, then October then December. All work sadly!

OneLittleLady · 31/07/2013 21:30

Oh mig if I looked only half as good as Ms Moss, I'd be happy. As it is I'm three times her width AT LEAST, I rock the 'well fed' look Grin

shopafrolic · 31/07/2013 21:32

I know Novice it's work and it sucks. It's just that pre SAHM I got to travel a reasonable amount - Paris, Milan, USA - mostly just looking at hotel room walls but I do occasionally miss it!

OP posts:
mignonette · 31/07/2013 21:36

Bet you look great One. And I've never met a man who complained about seeing his other half in her pants!

InMyShreddies · 31/07/2013 21:37

I got 10! I got 10! Can I join?

OneLittleLady · 31/07/2013 21:38

Haha mig true true.

I have decided that I MUST have a tulle skirt now. I simply must

OneLittleLady · 31/07/2013 21:38

shopafrolic · 31/07/2013 21:39

My 9 bows before you....

LeFreakCestChic · 31/07/2013 21:40

shopafrolic · 31/07/2013 21:42

OP posts:
InMyShreddies · 31/07/2013 21:47

Calvin Klein wha-?

I only lurk really, but I namechange every month or so and am fairly regular on S and B.

SAHM and am supposed to be spending zero on clothes but seem to spend more than I did when I had a 'proper' income! I bought a beautiful dress yesterday from Laura Ashley of all places, which I will wear to a wedding later in the season. It's not on their website and doesn't look much here, but it's this only I'm a size 8 - it was £32 in sale down from £70, I suspect it's meant to be a tunic but with bare (fake tanned) legs and nude heels, MJ nude clutch, it's a go-er. Polyester, but a lovely drapey fabric that is really flattering like silk jersey. Wish I could find a better pic.

I think a link is the best introduction, non?

Prob won't post much but waving at all you fabulous ladies.

shopafrolic · 31/07/2013 21:54

Mmmmm I can definitely relate on the spending more than I did when I had a proper income. Outfit sounds great Inmyshreddies

Hello InMyShreddies -

Nightwear inspired evening wear is 'in' apparently and CK is the master of the silk slip long dress. Victoria Beckham wore this style of dress to the Wimbledon final I believe. Narciso Rodrigues designed Carolyn Bessette's (JFK Junior's wife) wedding dress in a similar slip nightdress style <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=blogs-images.forbes.com/leahbourne/files/2012/04/wedd.jpg&imgrefurl=www.forbes.com/sites/leahbourne/2012/04/17/why-angelina-jolies-wedding-dress-designer-stands-to-make-millions/2/&h=633&w=578&sz=106&tbnid=21lXPwG3WKjUeM:&tbnh=92&tbnw=84&zoom=1&usg=__CdPsVs7U_2csuFJBw7pBNeq0ZFc=&docid=9LsIhEsTTLD6nM&sa=X&ei=KXr5Ua39DsuZ0QWTsYGwCQ&ved=0CDYQ9QEwAA&dur=256" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here
I buy Laura Ashley stuff from time to time- one of my favourite ever skirts is from there, a pencil skirt in cream with a painted effect floral design on the front. Very Erdem. Their cotton cardigans have lasted me for years. Some are ten years old and still in shape because they are 1005 cotton with ribbing on the sleeves/waist.

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2013 22:00

I went to the Laura Ashley press day a few weeks ago - they had some lovely stuff. Have my eye on one particular piece which you'll see on the blog soon (they gave me a voucher).

Drywhiteplease · 31/07/2013 22:02

Hello Shreddies, bows down in awe of your 10!!!!

mignonette · 31/07/2013 22:06

Wow Amber. They are very under rated and ignored in the fashion Press I think. The jewellery can be a little fragile (Have had to return a couple of pieces given me by relatives) although I am like a butter fingered throw back when it comes to delicate jewellery....

I bought two fifties styled Gingham dresses for birthday gifts a few years ago for a relative and they seemed so well made. I have some of their tea dresses, cigarette leg pants and the soft furnishings too of course. (Throws, cushions lampshades and a gingham rug that DS threw up on and had to be chucked out.)

QueenCadbury · 31/07/2013 22:32

Hello again! Dh took a little bit of pity on me as I'm still suffering with pmt and sorted the dc out for bed. The mood I was in I think he was too scared not too Grin. So in the end I didn't need wine, shopping or drugs!

I used to love laura Ashley when I was at 6th form. Loved their long skirts with docs and their tees were good too. I also bought my first ball dress from there in 1992 for £90. It was red velvet and lush. I loved that dress.

amber just as a matter of interest, how do you fit these press days into your life or are they part of your work? Is your plan to become a full time blogger?

QueenCadbury · 31/07/2013 22:33

Oh, forgot to say hello to shreddies.
