I'm wearing a maxi tomorrow, with denim jacket on hand as we will be heading up north in morning. Will bling it up with chunky bangles and mulberry bag, the scousers will love that lol.

(Ps I LOVE scousers, if any are lurking Grin)

Oh - forgot to mention, I got this skirt in the preview sale at Anna yesterday, I love it, really thick clingy jersey, the spine design down the back with the fish tail back looks amazing and feels fab. Nice with a white tank but will be great for A/W with boots and a jumper too.

I am still trying to decide on what to wear for MU too shop - seems a bikini would be weather appropriate! Possibly shorts but probably a maxi dress. Pretty much anything goes at the place we are going....

Soo Envy about the MU tomorrow! I wish I could be a fly on the wall.

One I am reading a kindle book that might interest you, you might even have read it already. It's Carole King's autobiography and it really gives an insight into how she composes her music and explains how she started at a very young age.

paris I made that prawn recipe I repinned from you a couple of days ago and they were delicious! I might have to adapt the marinade a bit to our tastes, but it really was yummy.

I think poor DD has finally caught chicken pox. Sad I just hope she doesn't suffer as much as DS. The pediatrician's surgery was closed this afternoon when I called but by chance he's on call this weekend, so I'll give him a call tomorrow.

shop can you wear your M&E grecian dress tomorrow? It should be nice and cool and you can dress it up or down.

Lovely skirt sleep! I have never heard of that brand but I am a big fan of Scandinavian brands.

So hot and tired here. Would really like a glass of Pimms (the new Blackberry and Elderflower - yum) but DD2 has her school disco tonight and I'm on pick-up duty, as per. DH has come in in a bad mood. Every now and again he gets a taste of my everyday life, chasing up debtors and it depresses him. For him, it's black or white, feast or famine and he takes the lean times as though they were the end of the world. I'll leave him to sulk upstairs on his own.
The All Saints dress and the bracelet arrived today. Haven't tried the dress on yet as I've been at work all day (that 40 mins in the garden I hoped for turned out to be a pipe dream and my legs are still un-St Tropez-ed), but it looks promising. The bracelet is pretty but feels a bit on the cheap side. For $100 I'd have expected it to be a bit heavier. TBH my &Other Stories bracelet which is quite similar but far less pricey feels better quality. As I had to collect it from the Post Office and pay them £21 for the privilege, I won't be returning it though. And it still looks nice.

Grumpy hope you can have a Wine after disco pick up. I'm on my second.
Sounds familiar with DH....mine is fine until visa bill arrives, the Mac gets turned on and he "does the visa bill", I disappear and then he pronounces " we need to batten down the hatches" i nod and then I just ignore him! This weekend will be a good one for me to ok big spends with
Wimbledon finals and lions third test....at crucial moments I ask " how about ......?" DH goes "yeh, whatever " ....done!

Come on Murray!

Sleep love the skirt. I don't dare go to Anna. I need to not buy anymore.
Linus I may well wear the Grecian again tomorrow. Took it off straight after lunch so it's only been worn for about 4 hours so should still be presentable. Sorry to hear about DD - hope it's the last of the guys for you and your family.
Bit the bullet and bought some Driclor too. Itchytastic!

Am I the only one not interested in the tennis?

Have a fab time at the meet up. Can't believe I'm going shopping on a really hot day but it's too good an opportunity to miss. I think Sunday will be so hot that I'm not so bothered by what I wear to the christening now as I have a feeling that when we get back to the house everyone (myself included) will get changed into shorts anyway!

Report
Drywhiteplease · 05/07/2013 20:23

That sounds like a lovely christening QC

Thanks shop! I wish the MU was tonight as DH is watching
Cloud Atlas and I could do with updates to relieve the boredom.

Serves me right for buying the dvd for him. Yawn.

I have a question about nude shoes: are they really a wardrobe staple?

I like them om other people (I think it was QueenC who pinned a lovely picture of denim and nude heels) but as I am very pale, I doubt the usual nudes will look good on me.

shopafrolic · 05/07/2013 20:26

I'm pale too Linus these darker nudes work for me and I wear them an awful lot.....

linus I have worn and worn my nude R and B ballet flats, fab.....but the patent nude courts just make me feel a bit dull and like K Middleton without the swishy hair, have not been worn yet......maybe it's the shoe because they always look fab on other people and you your beautiful highness, curtsey

Drama on court!

Not sure whether to do flats or heels tomorrow.

Report
LinusDKD · 05/07/2013 20:47

I like those shop but they don't seem to have anything in that colour anymore.

This is the image QueenC pinned and I really love it:

denim and nde

But I still think this looks good on tanned skin and not on super pale skin like mine.

shopafrolic · 05/07/2013 20:48

I'm all about the flats tomorrow. Too much stomping around for me to do before if get to you all....... And too hot.
Still behind on the tennis so please don't give it away! Flowers
