Confession Time: I actually own a pair of those Melissa jelly shoes in purple.

In my defense, I only bought them to go swimming in the lake as beaches here are usually pebble beaches and my poor feet were hurting getting into the lake.

I've only been swimming in the lake twice...

No offence taken QueenC, they are pretty horrible in real life.

And they smell most peculiar, like bubble gum.

Linus I have a pair of navy Melissa/Vivienne Westwood rubber pumps with pom poms on the front (like clown shoes). DH thought they were ridiculous, I thought they were cute. I now know they're actually quite ridiculous. And I know what you mean about the bubblegum smell!

I had some, the plastic ballet flat VW ones. I did wear them swimming and one floated out to sea!

And yes to the smell, very bubble gum.

I love the sound of the bubble gum scented shoes, they sound fab, all of them! Caught the last of the tennis, going to be an interesting final.

Yes....recovered from the stress thanks santa... Can't wait for finals this weekend. Normally not this into Wimbledon but this year, with all the predictable boring winners out its much more exciting! Have put a pic of Union Jack dress on profile!
