waaah the leopard shorts are TINY. both in leg length (ie non-existant) and waist wise, wtf? all saints are usually generous with sizing, non?

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 05/07/2013 13:34

Batty riders! Lol

i don't think i have the nerve paris, honestly they are miniscule. annoying it's not free returns! reminder to check the small print, bah.

Report
santamarianovella · 05/07/2013 13:44

loool foxy so basically they are denim knickers.

Report
Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 05/07/2013 13:49

Can you see cheek Foxy?

I was caught having to pay for returns today. Shoes from Mango were £8 to return.

I too have learnt my lesson

Report
foxysocks · 05/07/2013 13:54

no! no cheek.

i had them pulled down on my hips and still too short for comfort, plus fastening them so low caused some muffin Shock. fucking fuck all saints I do not usually have muffin!!

pmsl at denim knickers ( I almost typed knockers there!). yes, leopard print denim kecks. back they go...

I did wonder Foxy. I got these and now the bastards are half price and I haven't even worn mine yet thinking they didn't look too short. But they are plenty short enough. Not indecently so, and I will only wear them on holiday or on private property, but still short enough.

Grin @ batty riders Paris

LOL at the shorts drama's Grin. Foxy I feel hatred for items of clothes that give me muffin top and I am a lot bigger than you!

Such a drag being at work today. Wearing H&M print cotton trews (not on website to link) and this shirt hanging out with sleeves rolled up and these ballet flats - am so hot!!! Was ok until about 30 mins ago....might go and work from home

Muffin top is so awful. I immediately return anything that gives me even a hint of it. I'm big enough without having something making my jiggly bits look even more jiggly! That said, I really think I could have sized down in my newest skinnies and they would have fit. Slow progress but I think I'm finally cracking it

DS all fine so that's good. Dress held up well although was in air conditioned restaurant so still unsure. Am a little nervous of wearing my Me&em maxi tomorrow in case I turn up with sweaty pit marks from stomping round town all morning.
Funny short stories. Grumy any shorts that have the pockets hanging out at the front are definitely too short for my old hag legs! ;)

Good to hear all is well with DS Shop. I don't know how I can avoid turning up sweaty tomorrow!! Think I will get just one tube and then a taxi rather than the tube, bus, walk combo I was going to do - I am convinced I smell ATM Blush

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 05/07/2013 14:38

Shop I'd hoped they were just big pockets - the legs looked OK in the picture! Pleased your DS is well. You need to be in my office, no chance of sweaty pits in here as it's always 20 degrees cooler than anywhere on the planet.

That said, I'm leaving it now to go and spray myself liberally with St Tropez in order that I may don shorts at some stage. I plan to spend the next 40 mins in the garden.

Am watching the tennis slathered in St Moritz tan. My own leopard print batty riders are getting an outing tonight!

shop get some driclor for the sweating. I swear by it (as a dedicated polyester wearer I have to be!)

Report
foxysocks · 05/07/2013 15:12

Can you link to yours, Paris?

Report
OneLittleLady · 05/07/2013 15:14

paris would driclor work for sweating as caused by medication? Excess sweating is one of the side effects of one of my meds and it's really bad for me.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 05/07/2013 15:36

I'm on my phone Foxy so don't know how to link but they are from Mango. Type PARDO into their search engine and they come up.

One I don't see why it wouldn't work. Warning! It itches like mad the first few times you put it on but it's worth it. I only put it on once a week now and don't need any other deodorant. My friend told me about it a we both agree that it has changed our lives!

Report
OneLittleLady · 05/07/2013 15:44

I'll give anything a go paris, I'm sick of being soaked in sweat. I go through two or three BIG cans of deodorant a week atm and it's just ridiculous. I even have to carry it around in my bag to re-apply through the day if I'm out

Just dropping in in between Summer Fair madness and saw your post re shorts Foxy - don't be too upset, AllSaints denim is tiny, I am an 8/jeans 26 in most labels but literally can't get my leg into All Saints skinny jeans in those sizes.

Report
shopafrolic · 05/07/2013 16:22

YY to taxi from the tube tomorrow.
Won't try Driclor tomorrow though if it means sitting scratching my pits all through lunch I sense you might all go off me! Looking forward to seeing everyone (and having a few cheeky glasses as DH has yet again said he'll drive me to the station!) :)

One Driclor website says it does help with sweats caused by meds. Google for more info - there was lots of info on there.

I just checked the forecast for tomorrow and I am in a pickle. I don't do well in hot weather. My skin is practically blue so no matter how hot it is I HAVE to cover up or end up with sunstroke. My skin still burns through factor 30 suncream so have to go for 50 plus even in Britain's pathetic summers Sad
