If it was a tiny wedding, with just close friends or family.
Then possibly send a gift/card... (but not if you're no longer close friends.)

But if it was a proper do, with lots of people there, then they're totally out of order.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 12:35

As far as I know it was quite a large do at a country hall. I don't mind being told I'm wrong if I really am but I have a sneaky feeling they are in the wrong. We really haven't been close for three or four years due to side choosing after I split with the ex.

shopafrolic · 17/07/2013 12:45

Another week or more with the decorators Marsha - but it will be worth it once done as that is all the outside windows, doors and gates repaired and painted. Next stop redecorate one of the spare rooms.....
I took my jewellery to be valued today - am going to sell some bits separately rather than for scrap as some are from Boodles but the scrap bits give me enough to get a chunky rose gold bracelet repaired that was my Grandmothers. My Grandfather gave it to me on my 18th birthday and died the very next day so I'm pleased I can get it fixed and wear it again.
Syncing on waxing now too? Hmm impressive Grin
Sleep sounds fab - hope the pics come out well and you get the required result. Enjoy the calm.
It's that horrible mid point in the shops right now - the last of the unwanted sale stuff and not enough new stock to get excited.
Amber glad to see the hand without bandages - hope all is well.
Mig all okay?
Enjoy the Ivy Novice - fab outfit. I had an invite to eat there once by an old boss but it became apparent he was after more than dinner so I had to decline. Sad. Will reply to PM now.

one absolutely no way are you in the wrong. You weren't invited to spend their special day with them so why would you get a present. Let me post in aibu. They all hate me there anyway after the teachers presents thread Grin

novice blingtastic, love it! Have a fab night.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 13:10

Post away queenC I'd be interested to see what they say, I'm just too scared to do it myself!

QueenCadbury · 17/07/2013 13:47

Is your friend on MN though? She may recognise the story if so.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 13:50

As far as I know, no, she isn't. I have left out some very specific details anyway just in case she is

Badly shop! It was supposed to be cooler over there - forecast was for 15/16 degrees and it was very hot - jeans and vest tops every day.

Had a lovely time thanks one - saw lots of people, lots of friends and family, had a brief moment of wanting to move home but then remembered the sun generally doesn't shine that much over there and people were only all collected together as it was my birthday!

Annianni · 17/07/2013 14:14

I love that thread QueenC :o

I dare you to send it to her One.

Beautiful J Crew cashmere is here, and it's rather big.
Have briefly tried it, will try it again another time.

It's quite tempting as it's so soft, and I'd be able to fit loads of layers underneath when it's cold.
But I'm not sure if a medium would be better...

shopafrolic · 17/07/2013 14:14

Oh no Liberty did you have to shop? :)

Annianni · 17/07/2013 14:15

Hiya Liberty, hope your hair's ok.
And Thanks for your birthday.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 14:20

Is there an acceptable size you should be to wear shorts? I'm getting fed up of wearing long skirts and would love to just throw on a pair of shorts but I'm worried I'm too big and too wide on my bottom to get away with it Sad

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 14:21

Thanks Wine for your birthday liberty hope the hair is not too much of a disaster and can be salvaged

QueenCadbury · 17/07/2013 14:26

I'm just looking to book my ticket for 12 oct and it's 50 quid Hmm. I thought it was meant to be cheap if you booked in advance. Are you lot and the shopping in London worth that much Grin

QueenCadbury · 17/07/2013 14:29

My seasalt order arrived and I love both tops. The grey one is a greeny grey (not what I'd describe as granite) so I'll have to make sure that it fits in my wardrobe with my cardigans.

I'm going to return the fatface shorts as now I've lost 3 pounds I can fit into my honeymoon shorts. They're 9 years old so pre-dc so I'm very happy Grin

QueenCadbury · 17/07/2013 14:30

Happy birthday liberty. Everyone else has given you Flowers so have Wine from me.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 14:31

Well done on the weight loss queenC Smile

Drywhiteplease · 17/07/2013 14:40

One they're blunt on AIBU but right in this case!
QC well done posting it.....predictable responses, why can't they just say it nicely?
Shop it will be worth it when you're house is done a and you're wafting around it in your bikini admiring the pristine woodwork.
Linus your outfit today sounds fab.
Novice enjoy your dinner....you will certainly knock them dead, fantastic!
liberty belated happy birthday.
Decameron at last the H and M top is here, will try on and report back.

Right I'm off to change into bandeau top and shorts...no outings or visitors planned......wish me luck!Grin

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 14:49

I've stolen some of DP's shorts. I just can't take the heat anymore. They are loose round the waist but oh so much more comfortable than a leg covering, floor skimming skirt.

MrsRadicchio · 17/07/2013 14:59

Welcome back Liberty. I didn't realise it was youer birthday weekend so happy birthday! Wine from me too.

Well done on getting into smaller clothes One and QueenC.

FWIW I don't think you are being unreasonable One. I will read the AIBU when feeding DS2 at bedtime, I end up reading loads of AIBUs - I am addicted, would never post myself though.

One I would say it is what your legs look like rather than width that should dictate short wearing.

That is a really nice dress Shop but a bit short for me as I don't have the legs. Looks great on the model with the boots but I would need to add some serious opaques!

Love the sound of your outfit Linus

I am thinking of getting a pair of boots. Have been looking for grey leather boots for ages. these from Topshop are the colour I like - thoughts?
