foxy you've never met me but you know me well!

Ah, Benetton, that brings back memories. I used to love going in just to see all the sweatshirts and jumpers neatly piled up. I had a few cardigans from there but otherwise it was what the stuck up rich girls at 6th for wore. White jeans always remind me of them too which is why I have an aversion to them still 20 years later.

Had better go and sun cream up my 3. Ds is ridiculously excited as he's going on a school trip. He literally jumped out of bed smiling and got dressed straight away bless him.

shopafrolic · 17/07/2013 08:20

Morning all.
Dear God I feel like such a frump today I think I'm going to have to change, or kill myself.
I have on an old cotton sundress from John Lewis with brown and grey flowers on it. So not me at all. The stylist wanted to bin it last summer but it would have left me without any hot weather clothes so I kept it.
I can't believe how much my style has changed in the space of a year (for the better). I might have to ceremonially burn this...... right after I get changed!
It's so hot here I'm running out of options!

Shop I'm not even attempting dresses this summer! Too hot.

Novice oh my at your outfit. So good. I have bling-envy and I don't even do bling!

MarshaBrady · 17/07/2013 08:28

Linus love your outfit.

Dry sounds great. We did Bennetton, Esprit and some Aussie ones- Country Road - sloaney, from many miles away so funny and Sports Girl - tack city.

Foxy now you've said that actually I could do with a new dress Grin

Thanks Santa! And everyone, I'm glad some prefer jumper and others J Brands gives me hope I might like both! Grin

shopafrolic · 17/07/2013 08:29

Saw this and thought of MrsR

I love that. Looks great on.

shopafrolic · 17/07/2013 09:03

Screams - I just want to walk round the house and garden in my bikini!
Bloody decorators.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 17/07/2013 09:15

Oh Shop that would drive me insane too. How much longer until they are done?

BrandyAlexander · 17/07/2013 09:56

Grin at Marsha.

I have been in dresses, it's easier at work!

I have sent you and Shop a pm. I am prepping for meetings today so sorry if I am slow responding.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 09:58

I can't even walk around the flat in next to nothing as my neighbour is forever knocking on the door wanting something or wanting me to help him with something. It's so frustrating when half the time he just wants to complain about the people who live in the other block.

McNally · 17/07/2013 10:14

Enjoy your night novice. Outfit looks gorgeous. That clutch is stunning.

That is v frustrating shop. Of all the times to not be able to wear a bikini...

Linus outfit sounds lovely. Too nice for a bikini wax! Love the cobalt and acid yellow combo.

Am in Max&Co bluey/greyey dress. Actually quite chilly in my air conditioned office. You can't win!

Sleepwhenidie · 17/07/2013 10:30

Morning everyone, I can't wear a bikini either, have houseful of stylists and photographers, I am sat in the garden eating a bit of breakfast with a deep sense of satisfaction, my house has never been so perfectly tidy, nor is likely to be again, I am savouring the moment. If anyone needs an incentive to declutter their house then arrange for someone round to take pictures of it! I didn't have loads of stuff everywhere but just little bits in most rooms, now it is banished! This will last for approx 2 minutes once DC's return of course Hmm.

Might go for a swim in a minute....

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 10:31

Am wearing a green and black tie dye maxi skirt that I found tucked away in the bottom of the wardrobe. It's a size down from the size I have been wearing so I must have bought it and tucked it away in hopes of losing weight Grin

McNally · 17/07/2013 11:21

Congrats One!

Sounds utterly blissful sleep. I'm not sure I'd let any DCs back in. Tent in the garden?!

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 11:40

Thanks McNally I'm so chuffed at even losing a single pound. Hopefully I'll continue to put weight on and not gain it back this time.

sleep don't let them back in! Banish DCs and DH to the garden and send out meals on a trolley Grin

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 11:40

i'll continue to lose weight NOT continue to put it on Hmm

Annianni · 17/07/2013 11:43

Well done One.

I'm wearing the Whistles stripe skirt again, with a blue tee and black metallic hav's. They look navy in the sun.

I've just returned the khaki Whistles jacket that was part of the angst a few weeks ago.
It's too big, and I want to lose weight... so it's daft to keep it.

Lovely J Crew cashmere is due today.
It'll be fun trying it on in this heat :o

The maxi skirts that came yesterday are going straight back.
I'm struggling with clothes but don't want to spend a lot when the weather's so unpredictable.

Well done on the tidy house Sleep Envy

I can't wait for our attic to be finished, so the bedrooms can be done and I can get my diningroom back.

Annianni · 17/07/2013 11:57

And i've cancelled the MiH Oslo from Donna Ida.
I saw the measurements on NaP last night and there's no way they'd fit at the moment.

I feel quite virtuous now :o

Is Liberty on holiday this week?

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 12:03

I'm sure this should go in AIBU but I'm too scared of that board to post there so I shall ask here.

Is it right that I have been told someone I know is upset with me for not sending a wedding gift even though I was not invited to ANY part of the wedding? We haven't been close for a few years and given that I wasn't invited to even the reception, I didn't think I would be expected to send a gift. Am I a rude buffoon or is she being greedy and selfish?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/07/2013 12:19

Good morning!

Loved all the teenage clothing disasters choices talk! YY - Pretty In Pink! Thought Molly Ringwald was soooo cool. My other major fashion influence was Lisa Bonet in The Cosby Show. All rolled up baggies, baseball boots and loose top casually dropping off one shoulder. I'm sure she wore it far better than I did Grin. By the time I got a Saturday job in a fashion retailer (Bally shoes in Knightsbridge) I became a bit less casual and would buy stuff in Jigsaw, Miss Selfridge, Fiorucci and Benetton, with regular drooling wanderings around Way In at Harrods. I blame my indulgent uncle (who is also my godfather) who used to buy me seriously expensive gifts of beautiful dresses and jewellery from a very young age. He also bought me my first pony, so he's probably the root cause of most of my life's choices.

Linus High five, waxing buddy! I'm just about to pop into town to get various things waxed and tinted too. New salon for me - hope I don't frighten the beautician.

Novice Seriously seismic outfit. Am v Envy at The Ivy. Have a great evening and report back - I want the full rundown.

Enjoy the peaceful perfection Sleep. Nothing soothes the nerves like a clean and tidy environment

Annianni · 17/07/2013 12:19

Please post it in aibu under a name change.
Then print the thread off, where they're called greedy and grasping.
Then pop it inside a congratulations card and send it to the happy couple :o

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/07/2013 12:22

One Bit of a cheek not to invite you to any part of her wedding and yet still expect a gift. I think you ought to point out that you thought only wedding guests bought gifts.

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 12:23

I would usually have no problem sending at least a card but I can't quite understand why I should be expected to send a gift when I wasn't a guest at any part of their wedding. I really don't know if it's me or them who is in the wrong! I don't go to many weddings, most of the ones I have been to have been family ones, so I'm not 100% on wedding etiquette

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/07/2013 12:23

I second what Anni said Grin

OneLittleLady · 17/07/2013 12:25

I'm genuinely scared of that board! They are very blunt and I'm a delicate soul Grin
