welcome dauphin do you have any links to what you bought? we do love links round here Smile

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 17:37

Hi Dauphin! Long time no see - how've you been?
The weather is simply fabulous - a little too warm today for DS and I but only because I can't wander round the garden in my bikini as I would normally as I might scare our decorators!

Drywhiteplease · 16/07/2013 17:53

Wore a 5yr old White Stuff linen dress to work today. Has nearly gone in the charity bag so many times. Collegues all raved about it Confused... Odd.....or maybe they're just a load of old frumps unlike youthful edgy me Grin

Drywhiteplease · 16/07/2013 17:57

Bought DD some proper ladies' bikinis yesterday. She looked like a real young woman and so pretty, had a moment in the Primark fitting rooms Sad but Smile. Now helping her get ready for school disco....all high waisted shorts, swishy hair and sparkly eye liner. Where did my little toddler go? Feeling sentimental now............

OneLittleLady · 16/07/2013 17:58

I spent the day in skinny jeans as it was drum lesson day and it was terrible. I couldn't wear my usual skirt though because of the way you sit at the kit, can't be flashing the tutor my foo foo Grin

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 18:00

One !!!!!!!!!! Shock

Dry when the stylist came round to do my wardrobe edit I had a Fat Face dress that I always got complimented on. She wanted to chuck it, I said "Noooooo, I always get great comments on it". When we analysed the comments they were all from my mum, MIL or over 50s. The dress went - and I don't miss it in the slightest!
How old is your DD? They seem to grow up so quickly......

I told dry I wasn't posh Grin

Anyway, what's me+em sizing like?does it come up small? I'm eyeing up the grecian dress but having never ordered from there before, I have no idea how their sizing is

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 18:10

I'm not posh either One just a little bit TMI for me - sorry.

Come back Reluctantironer we love fresh meat :o
Good bargain with the dress.

The Woolrich parka arrived and it's nice but not perfect, so it'll go back tomorrow. The colour's not quite right on me, and I'd prefer a bigger size for slouchy-ness.

I may have ordered some CoH jeans for £50 from Donna Ida and I may have also stupidly ordered some MiH Oslo's in black.
I still have nightmares about what I looked like in the Paris earlier this year... but I'll give them a go for £35.

I'm off for a bike ride now.
I bought a cheapy exercise bike from ebay at the weekend...
I did 5.5 miles last night.
Dh is taking the boys out now, so I can have another go.

OneLittleLady · 16/07/2013 18:12

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend Sad

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 18:12

Me&em are true to size for me. I'm a 12-14 and wear their maxi in a large.

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 18:13

Blimey Anni In this heat you're brave! I thought the Donna Ida discounts were fantastic. Some real bargains.....

OP posts:
Annianni · 16/07/2013 18:20

It's an exercise bike Shop.
I do have a nice bike in the garage, but I don't want to venture out on it, while I'm so unfit :o

I'm going to stick a dvd on and get pedaling.

Fab bargains Shop, thanks for the heads up.

One, me+em have size information for each item in the details, so you can compare to your own measurements... or an item of clothing you wear.

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 18:23

I know Anni - just the thought of doing any exercise, indoors or out, is too much! Well done you - get pedalling :)

Have always wondered if I could carry off this hair - what do those that have met me reckon? I fear I'm too old now.........

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 16/07/2013 18:40

I don't know about you being too old as I haven't met you IRL but I reckon you'd need to have pretty strong features to pull it off

MarshaBrady · 16/07/2013 18:42

I love that hair cut Shop and you should definitely go for it.

Well done Anni! Fab Donna Ida bargains.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 16/07/2013 18:44

Hello All!

Great links everybody. I'm on a spending ban until I start on A/W13 stuff so keeping off the shopping sites!

Shop That hairstyle is very cool but I imagine you would have to have veeery well behaved, straight hair that never frizzes.

MarshaBrady · 16/07/2013 18:45

Hi Dauphin ah Heidi Klein that's another bikini option.

Aw Dry your dd has great style.

Shop I adore that cut, seriously, would look fab on you.

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 18:48

Grin Marsha - have just text the pic to my hairdresser and am awaiting his feedback! My hair is dead straight and super thick but I worry that now I am going grey it might not be smooth enough. Paris I agree I'll need to watch for frizz.
If I do go for it I may not be able to leave the house for 6 months while it grows out!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 16/07/2013 18:48

Foxy ah what did they say at Manuka?

Hey Paris I know. AW links soon. Am really happy we're having a great summer first.

OneLittleLady · 16/07/2013 18:50

I wish I was more adventurous with the cut of my hair, since the age of 16, mine has either been long and layered or in an inverted bob. I've been wild with colour but never the cut. I just don't seem to have the 'right' face to pull off anything extreme.

shopafrolic · 16/07/2013 18:52

Woop! Hairdresser says we'll start working towards it! :)

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 16/07/2013 18:55

I like that hairstyle shop but I haven't met you so I can't say if it'll suit you. I don't think age is a restriction though, look at Mary Portas. She has a similar hairstyle and has had it for yonks.

Oh and thanks again for mentioning the Donna Ida sale! I broke my shopping ban!!!

But at that price (and because of the name of the wash) I couldn't resist buying them. I did buy them 2 sizes down as an incentive to lose more weight.

paige

marsha I love that jumper you bought!

one I can get away with a medium in Me&Em.

Anyone heard from Mig?
