sorry shop i have no experience.

one hope everything is ok with your BIL,

dry cant believe they are delaying the gigis! dont they know summer will end in 3 weeks according to liberty's weather friend

Drywhiteplease · 12/07/2013 17:54

Santa I'm hoping for an extended heat wave Smile

OneLittleLady · 12/07/2013 18:04

thanks everyone for the good wishes. BIL continues to be stable, we are just waiting on him being transferred tot he other hospital and we should know more over the next few days.

I bought a raspberry pink chiffon maxi dress in Miss Selfridge today, for £7, it doesn't matter if it's a total disaster!

LinusDKD · 12/07/2013 19:06

Glad you're home again and that all is well with DS marsha

Sorry shop I have never sold any furniture either.

santa you mentioning Axel Vervoordt reminds me that when I was little my DP dragged DS and I to his beautiful store in Antwerp. This was before he was super famous but I don't think my parents bought anything because he was £££ even then. I would love to visit the castle where he has his headquarters now.

I saw this coffe table and I love it so I showed it to DH who isn't too sure. Probably too £££ anyway.

LinusDKD · 12/07/2013 19:07

Is Alex thingie on the One Show wearing that lovely Whistles dress that a few of you own?

LinusDKD · 12/07/2013 19:10

Oh and Dominic West is on as well, I LOVE him! Especially his voice!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/07/2013 21:19

Oh I love you all - you're my best friends Wink

Sober as a judge I'm afraid, but had a lovely day. One glass of something delicious, just to accompany the Lobster and dressed crab, you understand before making a complete pig of myself on all the scrummy miniature puddings. The cheese table was incredible, but I was pretty done by that stage. Met all the wonderful, famous stallions (horses, ladies, before anyone starts) before a very relaxed and profitable afternoon on Newmarket's beautiful July course. I had two bets and both won, so I quit while I was ahead. Spent my winnings already on a few nice things for DD2 from Little Fashion Gallery, but saved over £70 on 3 items as their sale is really good. Off to York races tomorrow and hoping to have a winner before a day of recovery, laundry and housekeeping on Sunday.

I did order the snake print trews from Zara and they came today and I'm very pleased with how they look. Far more funky as opposed to mutton-y, but so glad I sized up. The 8s were sold out, so I went for a 10 (38) and certainly would not want to go smaller. At £17.99 I can't fault them.

Santa I have never heard of Barbara Martello, but have an instant girl-crush! Flawless, in that thrown together, effortlessly chic way I love. And I now have serious leg envy Envy

shopafrolic · 12/07/2013 21:43

Didn't see the One Show Linus sorry....
No worries re: furniture - I'm just trying to figure out if asking 1/3 of the original price paid is too much if the item has hardly been used......
Further reductions online and in-store at the Dressing Room tomorrow if anyone is still shopping.
Grumpy - I love you too (and have drunk a lot of wine) - glad today was good and that the Zara trousers are fab.
Shopping for me tomorrow - potties and big boy pants Hmm

Yey Grumpy, you're funny. Sounds like a fantastic day and well done on your winnings. Glad the snake print trousers are good. Enjoy York, weather's due to be fab.

Drywhiteplease · 12/07/2013 21:49

P.s shame it's not the MU tomorrow, turns out I'm family-less ..........ooooh what to do? Grin

shopafrolic · 12/07/2013 21:49

Oh and meant to say - have spent a happy few hours playing in the garden tonight with a glass of wine, watering my plants and training my sweet peas. I LOVE SUMMER...... (and all you lovely Voguettes)

linus that table is gorgeous,i bet its over the 3k range,as i saw a cabinet of his in world of interiors magazine for 7k!,im a huge fan of his work, have all his books, even applied for an internship at his design firm.

grumpy sounds you had a lovely day,i shop at little fashion gallery too! bought some lovely things for dd from zef and mini rodini.

BrandyAlexander · 13/07/2013 11:22

Good morning Voguettes! Who doesn't love a Saturday where you can wear a pink sundress and flip flops?Grin

It's been 3 hours of running around (usual saturday!) and now stopping for 20 mins before it all starts again. Off to see chic mil and slightly less chic pilWink this afternoon. Hoping the in laws run around with the dcs while I relax!

I reached a big charity milestone yesterday. I have a team going into the village on Tuesday to spend the day doing a "baseline survey" so basically finding out everything about the school, teachers, pupils and the community. I finished writing the questionnaires, outline report (from what I have been able to gather) and updated my 5 year plan. Huge task!

QueenCadbury · 13/07/2013 15:37

That all sounds great novice and so exciting.

Fatface order arrived so I now have new shorts and this blouse also fell into my basket.

Have just had a glorious few hours at the beach and now about to cool off at home in the paddling pool. Out for drinks tonight so wearing the monsoon dress again. Wish I had a bright clutch bag to take out with me and was tempted to do a quick trip to the shops but in this heat just cannot be bothered.

Hope you're all enjoying the sun.

one how's bil doing now he's been transferred?

shopafrolic · 13/07/2013 15:49

Just come in from outside as it's so lovely and warm so thought I'd check in as I eat my ice cream.
I like those shorts QueenC - very classic. We went potty and pant shopping this morning for DS and while I was out I jumped on the bandwagon and bought these shorts - they are fab on - thanks to all who recommended them. They should save some embarrassment at playdates if it stays this hot! DH is off on a clayshoot tomorrow at the local estate so DS and I need to come up with some fun plans...... What's everyone up to this weekend?

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2013 15:58

I'm wearing those shorts but in navy Shop. They are great, have the beige too. Am reading Caitlin Moran in the garden in my deck chair. The urge for pimms is huge but I have to drive later Sad.
At netball county trials all day tomorrow .....not me,obv, DD. will take Caitlin with me and "Girl Gone" Incase I finish it.
Quiet night in tonight......boring

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2013 15:58

Lovely blouse QC

shopafrolic · 13/07/2013 16:02

Has anyone seen any cheap strapless jersey tops? I found some in H&M today to wear in the garden but they only had XS and I can't find them online........
This kind of thing but looser

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 13/07/2013 16:21

BIL is stable, no changes to his condition at the moment. Waiting on more test results now but he's as comfortable as he can be.

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2013 16:28

Shop
black
pretty
not rushed
pink
scary
now I'm getting tempted
blue and cheap

BrandyAlexander · 13/07/2013 17:34

Good to hear one.

Dry, mil made me a jug of pimms, which I have just finished. All by myself. Blushfeel v sleepy Hmm

QueenCadbury · 13/07/2013 18:08

I have those gap shorts in navy and khaki too. The khaki have been relegated to hanging round the house/gardening shorts as not my colour though.

shop I like those strapless tops but would worry they wouldn't stay up.

If anyone sees any cotton tops similar to the one I bought from fatface then do let me know. I've seen some in sea salt but you have to pay for delivery and returns which puts me off. I assume I'd be an 8 looking at their size charts but you never quite can tell as I have 30f boobs.

shopafrolic · 13/07/2013 20:53

Thanks Dry - they won't stay up too well on me either QueenC but I can't wear a bikini in the garden as we have Decorators here and I'm getting a farmer's tan - strictly for wearing in the garden - wouldn't / couldn't go out of the house in one........
Like the look of the first two.... and the orange is good too.......
DH just got shat on by a pigeon Grin
