I like that shop, sadly I can't wear playsuits. Or shorts.

shopafrolic · 13/07/2013 21:31

Not sure if I can either Linus ....

I believe being shat on by a seagull is considered lucky......maybe it's the same with a pigeon!
What's a farmer's tan? shop

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/07/2013 22:11

Good evening everyone. Another busy day and I'm fit to drop. But good old DH volunteered that we'd take friends DD for a sleepover with our DD and then he very helpfully went straight up to the bedroom when we got in and is crashed out, fully clothed on the bed. I will make him pay tomorrow...

Hmmmm, not sure Shop. DD2 has something v similar in red and, being only 9, I see them as childrenswear. Sorry!

Ended up wearing my Marni for H&M dress to York today as it was so bloody hot and the dress I'd planned to wear had elbow length sleeves and was fully lined. (Not happening)

shopafrolic · 13/07/2013 22:51

Farmers tan is wear you have tan marks in the shape of a t-shirt.
I think you're right Grumpy it's so hot my fashion sense has flown out of the window. Will stick with shorts and a tee, bandeau for at home only.
My DH spent the afternoon asleep too. I wish I could just take myself off for a nap whenever I choose!

Drywhiteplease · 14/07/2013 08:20

shop love it! Loads of those up here....my DH has a prat tan......sock marks, it starts half way up his calf not because he wears sandals and socks I hasten to add....he plays a lot of tennis
Am now wanting a bandeau top for the garden!

QueenCadbury · 14/07/2013 10:07

shop I love playsuits but they look like a pain to go to the loo in!

Turquoiseblue · 14/07/2013 10:24

apologies for not being quite able to keep up, I can read but hardly getting to post.
I m an absolute child of the sun - totally changes my outlook on life and clothes! Went to a concert last night a even wore an emerald green silk summer dress I bought on a holiday whim two years ago but had been languishing in the wardrobe since. and this little holiday bag came in handy here

Shop - my dh runs a lot and used get the 'farmers tan' marks until he switched to running singlets ..... hmmm toss up between singlet wearing DH (for running only mind) or farmers tan wearing DH!
Grumpy - your week sounds fabulous , as does your wardrobe.
One - hope your BIl remains comfortable and get s better quickly.
Must rush off now - friends coming for bbq and delivery of outdoor furniture to come yet. Atterly Road sale haul arrived friday haven't had a chance to open it yet! Enjoy Sunday everyone

Decameron · 14/07/2013 16:45

Hope you are all enjoying the sun.

Turquoiseblue I admire your patience in waiting to open a parcel, I have to do it immediately.

I like playsuits, Shop though haven't worn one for years.

The bargain Me & Em navy skirt arrived and it's fab, but the grey top is too itchy and short on the sleeves. Also washed my Me & Em Grecian dress according to the instructions for the first time and it shrank by 4 inches, I hope they take it back. It's a replacement too, the first dress developed a hole in it the first time I wore it. It is not meant to be!

QueenCadbury · 14/07/2013 16:57

I've just ordered this and this as I couldn't stop thinking about them. Let's just ignore that I promised not to buy anything!

dec that's really disappointing about the me&em quality

Drywhiteplease · 14/07/2013 17:35

Ooh I love the second top....v pretty

shopafrolic · 14/07/2013 18:02

Not good news about the Grecian Decam - I haven't washed mine yet......

Decameron · 14/07/2013 18:03

Very pretty tops, QueenC and will keep you cool!
Yeah, I hope they will exchange the dress. Actually don't want it anymore now (though maybe third time lucky!) but they have lots of other things I like.

foxysocks · 14/07/2013 18:47

hola voguettes! hope everyone been out enjoying the sunshine Grin

have also had a few probs with me&em quality decam - am on my third l/s black top from them as the first two bobbled so badly and my boyfriend tee is now completely out of shape after hardly any wears/washes. annoying.

I panic ordered two bikinis today after a bbq/pool party yesterday when I had NOTHING to wear. have two bikini tops but they are tiny, strictly garden only. went for a basic black panache bandeau set and a melissa odabash sale bargain so will choose my fave. asos are really fab, delivery is due tomorrow and I only ordered at lunchtime!

nice tops queenc

am also still hankering after a summer dress, was excited when saw DMBL40 blog last night as LOVE the yellow she picked and would also suit my shape BUT was 100% poly, sweatastic surely?? i don't understand why some bloggers don't seem bothered by poly clothes, esp when it's a summer dress and you are paying nigh on £100 for it? it can't just be me who thinks that's crazy, surely?

MarshaBrady · 14/07/2013 18:52

Hello you gorgeous people.

Have been out. In sunshine at a party. Bit sozzled. Ok will read and be back.

LinusDKD · 14/07/2013 19:07

QueenC I love that second top!

I have just washed my grecian dress for the first time but I haven't tried it on yet. Fingers crossed it's ok.

The boyfriend tees and the maxi dress have washed well so far.

santamarianovella · 14/07/2013 19:29

Lovely tops,queen

shop I love playsuits,I have one by Paul and joe, very comfy, and perfect for, this kind of weather.

turq I found this skirt tucked away in one of the drawers,I ordered it two months ago,and completely forgot about it!

dec shame about the dress,I think linus'has it too,

foxy plz link he odabash bikini, and where did u buy it from?

We went to a bbq today,at my sil in Hampshire!, had lovely time, did wear my j crew skirt with a black sleeveless tee.

QueenCadbury · 14/07/2013 19:55

Wowsers foxy that yellow dress is bright. I have never minded polyester as I tend to be a sweaty person anyway whatever I wear (nice) but I have developed an aversion to it in this heat.

Thanks for liking the tops. It was when I saw this picture of the grey one that I knew I had to have it as it is so me.

foxysocks · 14/07/2013 20:07

that's a really cute look queenc, suits you perfectly

would also love a playsuit, strapless i think, but not seen anything right on my travels

it's this one santa. shape looks fab, not sure about the 'links' on the bottoms - could be bond girl, could be disastrous.

was umming and ahhing over price but when DH saw pic he said def get it Smile then fessed up that his most recent boardshorts were $100!! AND he claimed them! (tbf this is legit claim if you know his profession)

foxysocks · 14/07/2013 20:08

I don't mind poly either for some things, but not a summer dress and not for 100 big ones.

shopafrolic · 14/07/2013 20:09

So I got dragged along to the clay shoot, and spent two hours sat in the car with DS who was scared of the bangs but didn't want to go home as there were lots of tractors to look at. Dull as you like. But things picked up when we were invited back to The Lord of the Manor's walled garden for a catered BBQ. So sunny and lovely. My farmer's tan is coming on a treat!
YY Foxy please link the bikini

shopafrolic · 14/07/2013 20:11

That's lovely Foxy

QueenCadbury · 14/07/2013 20:17

If I could look like that in it then my dh would agree to that price too! Sadly, I look nothing like that.

I'm in a quandary. I'm in love with this bag. It would be the perfect thing to mark my 40th with. I'm having a party and although I don't expect gifts I know that people will want to get me something. Instead of numerous bottles of champagne of something that I don't really want I would really prefer a contribution to the bag. Is that really cheeky though? You have to pay for delivery of selfridges vouchers so they're not the ideal thing for people to get. I know JL and HOF do longchamp but it's not online and I haven't seen it in store. What shall I do? I'm sending out invitations this week so it would be ideal when I put in all the information to put in my request too.

foxysocks · 14/07/2013 20:20

i love that and would happily chip in rather than do the champers/flowers thing, if that's what my hostess would prefer Smile. you can say on the invite that it is if course optional etc
