libertychick · 12/07/2013 00:29

Just had a quick read back through this evening's posts and I am Envy, Envy, Envy at the day Grumpy has tomorrow - sounds fabulous!

Drywhiteplease · 12/07/2013 07:51

Who is she Santa? A French Voguette ?
Grumpy have you started on the lobster yet? Great day for it....have a good one.....wonders whether we'll get a late pissed "I love you all, you're my best friends" post Grin
If my Gigis don't arrive today I'll find Amazon HQ and pick them up myself!
shop you're so edgy...I'm sure you'd think I was really safe if you met me!!!!!!!

shopafrolic · 12/07/2013 09:13

Good morning fabulous Voguettes!
That's it Santa - just a little more untucked and casual IYSWIM.
Barbara Martello
Grumpy have a fabulous day!
Dry can't believe your Gigis haven't arrived yet - what a shame. Not sure I'm as edgy as I wish I was!
30 degrees tomorrow people! :)
Today I'm in my denim cut offs again, this tee and my gold Havs. Cloudy here at the moment so I might be being a bit optimistic!

Morning all! Hope all the dcs are happy and healthy and Grumpy has had a fab start to her daySmile

Shop, weather will be better later but I am trousers!

shopafrolic · 12/07/2013 09:29

Funny how that outfit looked so different from different angles Santa

Morning!

Yay, our new furniture is here! The poor delivery people got stuck for 4 hrs at customs and only arrived at 6p.m. so I didn't have time to catch up until now.

foxy glad your DS is feeling better. I remember I loved running throught the sprinkler when I was a child!

santa you must have been so worried about your DF. We've had a few health scares like that with my DF and that is one of the times I hate living so far away from my DP.

anni DS has also been a challenge this week. I can't wait for the Terrible Twos to be finished.

grumpy so Envy about your lobster and champagne breakfast! In the summer many rich Arabic families come here to escape the heat in their home countries and you can really tell when they are in town. Even flashier cars than usual on the road and the shops are doing a roaring trade. The bling on show would even put novice to shame! Wink

santamarianovella · 12/07/2013 09:54

dry her name is barbara martelo, she is a spanish stylist.

shop i thought it was a completely different outfit, the tee is not exactly black is it? we need marsha to give us her verdict.

hope all dcs are doing better today.

MarshaBrady · 12/07/2013 11:07

Morning voguettes!

Doesn't Barb look great. She is way more glossy than I am! I'm more the unkempt version, I mean fashion nonchalant version of course cough Grin

I'll try and find a link, but back on phone I've lost the ability to pin on phone. Can't log in.

I love that t Shop.

All good here. And I even got a hospital lift compliment from lovely person about Sandro sweater thanks to random person!

MarshaBrady · 12/07/2013 11:10

Foxy I'm glad ds is feeling better. Your night and outfit sounds fab. I'm secretly pleased it's cloudy today as Dh had booked day off for breakfast in sun. By breakfast I mean an all day one!

Linus fab about furniture, how exciting.

shopafrolic · 12/07/2013 11:24

Anybody have any experience selling 2nd hand furniture? I have a sleigh bed in DS' room that I want to sell.... What % of the original price should I ask for something that's only been slept in about 5 times?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 12/07/2013 11:25

Ha Dry I did I love you all missed you post when I left the job. I wasn't even sloshed tipsy Grin.

Grumpy I am seriously imagining your lobster and champagne in this airless room. Bet it's divine.

Liberty love the purchases, have a great time in Ireland and a fab break.

Ds1 is in hospital school cookery class making strawberry cake, he's not even here!

Gah back to multiple posts, can tell when I'm on the ditsy iPhone.

QueenCadbury · 12/07/2013 11:27

Morning all. I've just been to sports day and I love my kids,,but goodness,an hour and a half watching non competitive games is rather tedious!

I'm having a complete fashion melt down at the moment feeling totally uninspired and unstylish. I prefer blouses to tees but most of mine are viscose/poly so in such extreme temperatures are just too hot. Wearing navy shorts and navy/white striped tee today so it's fine but just dull. I'm even too hot to wear accessories which I feel usually give my dull outfits a bit of pizzazz. How do you ladies manage to stay looking stylish in 30 degree heat? I think I need some more cotton tops.

MarshaBrady · 12/07/2013 12:45

Sports day takes ages. Ours was nearly 3 hours.

I think I'm minimal still in the heat. Usually paul & joe dark grey thin wool shorts or short skirt and t - just j crew or similar ones, usually in a bright colour and ballet flats. No accessories except watch. I love the ease of it however I think I am at minimal end anyway!

foxysocks · 12/07/2013 13:08

I have one summer dress which gets worn a lot in this heat. otherwise it's shorts or a skirt and tee, like marsha, and just my watch and maybe wrap bracelet.

i can't carry a bag in the heat weirdly

i would like another summer dress but can't find anything i like. would like black possibly, like this

QueenCadbury · 12/07/2013 13:19

I guess everyone just wears shorts and tees in this weather so not sure why I'm having a meltdown Grin. I just feel a bit undressed without my watch and bracelets on but can't bear them in this heat.

OneLittleLady · 12/07/2013 13:36

BIL has been referred to the hospital in the next city over for more tests and treatment. I don't exactly live in a village, its a mid size town but the next city over has for more facilities and specialist help available so it's the best place for him to be. On the bright side his condition has remained stable which they say is a good sign

MarshaBrady · 12/07/2013 13:38

Most of my summer dresses feel like they have too much going on. I'd love a simple one like that Foxy.

shopafrolic · 12/07/2013 14:05

No experience on selling furniture then?

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 12/07/2013 14:08

one glad BIL is stable and getting the help he needs.

Sorry marsha forgot to ask about your son. I sounds like he is taking being in hospital in his stride. Making strawberry cake sounds fun!

I have pinned the furniture we bought for anyone who's interested. I don't know how to describe the style, somewhere in between modern and classical.

We bought it here as they have a good selection of styles.

The bed and bedside tables are not completely to my taste but as it has taken us nearly five years to find a bed we both like and because DH has always wanted a four poster bed, I have compromised.

Now I can start thinking about the soft furnishings, especially for my lovely new sofa. Oh and new curtains!

Drywhiteplease · 12/07/2013 14:42

Ooh linus love soft furnishings.

Marsha a few weeks ago I did an " I love you all....." Post but was relieved the following morning to find I'd not pressed "post" but you do all seen lovely though

QueenC natural fibres. That's it. Cotton or linen. I don't own any poly t shirts, hate the clamminess.

Shop just checked Amazon e mail and delivery is 18/7-7/8!!!! Nooooooooo! and I've just bought a gold pendant necklace to go with them

Sleepwhenidie · 12/07/2013 15:22

Hi everyone, sorry am a bit erratic with my attendance lately, blimmin' kids taking up all my time Grin.

Marsha, glad your DS is ok, sound scary. Have you escaped hospital yet? The sun is out after all, hopefully you and DH can have lunch?

One, wishing your BIL all the best.

I love floaty or fine jersey maxis on this weather, or shorts and vest tops.

Drywhiteplease · 12/07/2013 15:53

Sorry shop only sold crap ikea furniture for a pittance on Ebay
one sounds like BIL is in best place

MarshaBrady · 12/07/2013 16:24

We are home! Home sweet home.

It was fine, but it was a bit airless and seeing the sunny day outside made us want to leave. But they even did a magician show, which ds loved. Pretty good.

Shop I'm afraid I haven't.

MarshaBrady · 12/07/2013 16:24

One hope Bil is ok.
