One The weather is supposed to be good at least til the end of the month so enjoy wearing your new skirt, it sounds lovely.

Lol at Dry vs multiway bra!

Marsha How scary for you, bless your DH too.

Decam Go and try the Assoluta! I'm not usually one for scents but I discovered Acqua Di Parma Colonia on honeymoon last year. DH and I stayed at Hotel Sezz in St Tropez. All their toiletries were Colonia.

MrsRadicchio · 11/07/2013 15:18

anyone a size 6?

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 11/07/2013 15:21

ME ME ME!

lies

Annianni · 11/07/2013 15:52

Yes I'm a size 6 in dog years :o

Hope your ds is ok Marsha, asthma is so scary.

I'm hopeless with ds injuries etc... Ds1 choked on a piece of kiwi earlier this year.
I didn't realise until then, that when people choke for real, that they are silent.

So scary...
I was screaming for dh (first aid trained) to get out of the shower and help, in between thumping Ds1 on the back.
He coughed up a piece of melon so I was relieved... till I saw ds1 was still bright red and not breathing.
A few more wallops and the kiwi flew out.
We both burst into tears... Ds2 joined in, as he'd witnessed it and didn't know what was going on.

Dh came flying down the stairs to find us all in a snotty wailing heap.

Annianni · 11/07/2013 15:54

It's the Ikat silk blouse Decam, i've pinned it this morning. I'll do links later.

I tried it a few months ago and it was nice on.
I've ordered it in 2 sizes though.. just incase...

OneLittleLady · 11/07/2013 15:55

I agree, asthma is terrifying. I have it myself and I am always a wailing snotty mess after I recover from a full blown asthma attack. I wasn't even diagnosed until the start of this year after six months of constant chest infections and a bout of pneumonia. The asthma nurse said I've probably always had it and it's just gone undetected until the bout of illness.

libertychick · 11/07/2013 16:11

Gosh I am touching wood that my DD stays ok after reading all the stories here today. Marsha asthma is terrifying - all my brothers had it but grew out of it and Foxy hope your DS is ok. Anni well done on dealing with the choking incident - you may have cried afterwards but you dealt with it at the time and that's what counts.

Anni thank you for the tip off on the jacket - I have just ordered it and while I was there I ordered these trousers which MrsR has previously recommended and this top. Slightly annoying as I won't get any of them for a week as I'll be away so having them sent to a friend...and now I have to stop spending!!! Smile

Decam shame the DVF wasn't right for you. One great to hear the skirt is a success - I work with emergency planning people who get the long range forecasts and they say it's warm for the rest of July so you will get the wear out of it I think.

Drywhiteplease · 11/07/2013 16:30

Libery that's news I want to hear Smile how's August looking?

libertychick · 11/07/2013 16:50

Sorry Dry the lady with the alert system isn't here today! When they say long range they are only talking 3/4 weeks ahead anyway Smile

santamarianovella · 11/07/2013 17:13

liberty that's good news,

ani you did great with choking incident.

paris assoluta is lovely.the blu Mediterraneo range is nice too.

I just read the aibu thread, ewww!,and yes mig I too want to know how?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 11/07/2013 19:47

Good evening.

My, what a dramatic few days - hope everyone's DCs, DFams are all OK.

I'm just here dealing with diva DD2 who has copped a strop because it's own clothes day at school tomorrow and her 'Daisy Dukes' are in the wash and she wanted to wear them. Apparently her navy shorts just won't do, but she has settled on cream snake-print jeans, which we bought in Copenhagen and are v funky. Honestly, she's worse than I am!

Tomorrow is one of my favourite days of the year. We are invited to the Darley Stud annual stallion parade and lunch (Darley is the bloodstock business of Dubai's ruling family) and it is spectacular. The first time I went I was talking to Clare Balding as we inspected the 'puppet' from the War Horse west end show, which was there with various cast members and was incredibly lifelike. I get to have Lobster and champagne for breakfast and there are a million tiny puddings to gorge myself on indulge in afterwards. It's held in a giant marquee with the most amazing floral displays and chandeliers. Reality gets suspended for a wonderful few hours - can't wait. Think I may go simple with my navy sleeveless lace Reiss dress and Donna Karan silver handbag as it's supposed to be pretty warm tomorrow and I'll be going racing at Newmarket straight after. No runners, so it'll just be a really nice, social day out.

Drywhiteplease · 11/07/2013 19:50

Sounds amazing Grumpy.... Lobster and champagne breakfast!!!!! Yey

MarshaBrady · 11/07/2013 20:31

Thanks everyone Thanks.

The good thing is ds1 is feeling good and pretty much enjoying the food they bring every few hours. A bit like being on a plane.

Anni god that does sound scary, I'm glad you dealt with it so well.

OneLittle same for ds1 (he's not as severe), a cold or cough triggers it.

Liberty love the purchases, that blue Whistles t is very pretty.

Paris oh wow, love that pool! Perfect water. Love those sandals too! I feel I should say 'incroyable' (a la The Devil Wears Prada) to those Grin

MrsR hadn't seen that thread might check it out Shock

Grumpy tomorrow sounds divine. Nice to be back on Vogue - lovely things to think about and imagine!

I am a bit like Foxy we had a lovely long sunny breakfast booked for tomorrow which will be cancelled. Obviously am just glad ds1 is ok, will have to rearrange.

MarshaBrady · 11/07/2013 20:44

I really like this it's a shame it's not 100% cotton.

BrandyAlexander · 11/07/2013 20:44

Just popping in to say hugs to Marsha, glad your ds is okay. Thanks

Bloomin dh doesn't want to go to Florence (although I think mig is right about it being busy). He wants to go to Reykjavik. It's 12 bloody degrees.Shock What's romantic about that?!!

QueenCadbury · 11/07/2013 20:46

one all sounds very stressful with bil but I'm glad the red skirt is good.

marsha glad ds is ok. Kids are terrifying when they are ill as they go downhill so quickly (although recover equally as quickly). I've had to call an ambulance 3 times for my dc and the wait is utterly terrifying. The worst was when ds was 9 weeks old and had bronchiolitis. I just remember shouting at the poor woman on the phone to send me an ambulance and stop asking so many questions, I was so worried and stressed.

foxy how's your ds doing?

dec shame the dvf went back as it's lovely.

grumpy fancy swapping your day for mine of sports day, vets and then a play date of boys all obsessed with skylanders?

QueenCadbury · 11/07/2013 20:47

The blue lagoon would be romantic novice

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 11/07/2013 22:04

QueenC I think I'll take a rain check on that one!

Mig it's good to have you back, we'll keep up the frivolities in your honour.

Novice I could see the appeal of Reykjavik, but I'm quite a lover of the Nordic. I read a review of travelling in Reykjavik a few months ago and made a mental note that I wanted to visit. The weather may not match Florence, but it does look beautiful and, I have to say, pretty stylish with some great shopping.

Marsha love that top, cotton or not.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 11/07/2013 22:13

Blush it would appear I have confused Helsinki with Reykjavik. Sorry Novice, I am an idiot.

foxysocks · 11/07/2013 22:22

ooof marsha! poor you, glad all ok now. x

all fine here. urine sample came back ok, he perked up A LOT once the sprinkler came out for the garden. DD insisted on stripping and running through the water so of course he wanted to join in too and was running and dancing all over the place Smile. so we re-booked the sitter and went on date night - twas FAB. great food, lovely wine. wore grey goldsigns, navy farhi ruched tee and yellow DvF flats.

still desperate for a black/grey bag. took the mulberry tonight, was ok but didn't feel quite right with the outfit.

shopafrolic · 11/07/2013 22:27

Love this size 12. Might even have linked it before.......

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 11/07/2013 22:27

Oh Foxy you can't beat a sprinkler for hours of fun...beats blowing up a flaccid paddling pool any day. Glad DD is feeling better.

Novice perhaps he wants to go somewhere where you'll have to keep each other warm!!! Wink

Marsha rayon/cotton mix is ok I think. Really nice top.

MarshaBrady · 11/07/2013 22:35

Damn now I know you love it too I want it. Sold out in my size. School girl error! Next time will buy then link.

A sprinkler is the best, I still remember jumping through a huge one when little.

I'd love to go north where it's light for ages, one thing I have to do.

That's gorgeous Shop.

shopafrolic · 11/07/2013 22:36

Nice Helmut Lang

OP posts:
