Can I come in your suitcase Novice? I promise I'll be ever so quiet! Grin

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 10/07/2013 22:07

Is there space for me in the suitcase as well, I'm only small and quiet as a mouse. You won't even know I'm there Grin

BrandyAlexander · 10/07/2013 22:17

GrinGrin at One and Shop. I think dh might err not appreciate your presence!!

shopafrolic · 10/07/2013 22:19

it looks beautiful Novice - just perfect!

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 10/07/2013 22:20

Book it Novice it looks gorgeous. Shop and One I'll meet you at Heathrow with my little suitcase, perhaps we could share one of the green house suites!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/07/2013 22:27

Nice Novice, bookmarked.

I can't believe we both came up with the same place! Let me know how everything is if you go before I do (late Sept).

libertychick · 10/07/2013 22:39

Sorry to hear that one - fingers crossed he will be ok.

Marsha great news about work - see if you hadn't quit the first one you wouldn't be in the position to consider this one!

Dec I have just ordered both those Me&Em items thanks to your links!!! They should pay you commission Smile. I am ever so slightly nervous about the skirt and what it might do to my saddlebags but at 70% off its worth a punt.

Novice I am with you on Ryanair/Easyjet...detest them. I am so over Raynair I refuse to fly to Knock in the west of Ireland which is quite close to where I am from and instead fly with Aer Lingus to Dublin, hire a car and drive for 3.5/4 hours!!!

For a luxury, romantic weekend have a look at Ballyfin in Laois in Ireland - ££££ but amazing. It's about 1.5 hour drive from Dublin airport.

libertychick · 10/07/2013 22:44

Linus I love that MbMJ scarf - gorgeous!

Mignon lovely selection of A/W clothes - I like the leather skirt. How would you style it? I think the fact it is flared should mean it doesn't create too many issues with overheated moments, as long as the waist isn't too tight.

OneLittleLady · 10/07/2013 23:08

I have fallen utterly in love with a cheapy, post box red maxi skirt. I know the size of my arse should put me off buying and wearing it but I.MUST.HAVE.IT. Is it so wrong? Is it?

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2013 23:13

One I'm so sorry to hear about your Bil. I hope he is ok.

Novice that hotel is divine. How exciting about the charity.

Lovely skirts Mignonette

Grumpy go for it.

Sleep will do that thing in the morning now!

Liberty that is gorgeous too.

On the work thing, I did lots of freelance for one agency last year. Lasted quite a long time, was good stuff. But I did find it a bit hard to switch off on the days I wasn't working (and thought hmm maybe I should be paid on these days in an office!). But realised after that last one that it is better for me to work from home so emailed them to say hi. So the whole job thing was a good push in the end. Depends on a few things happening (winning projects), but might happen.

I know them and the ciients and it's nice work. So will be happy if it happens.

Just watched last episode of Mad Men season 6. Very good.

libertychick · 10/07/2013 23:17

Sounds like you should 'buy and try' one. I think maxi skirts are better than maxi dresses for the non willowy among us. What is the fabric and design? You want something that skims the curves.

OneLittleLady · 10/07/2013 23:21

It's a viscose mix and high waisted with a slight amount of billowing. Will give in and purchase but if it doesn't suit will return it for a refund. After the horror of the last few days, i think a little pick me up is deserved

libertychick · 10/07/2013 23:27

Excellent one - you will have to report back - hope it's perfect and gives you a lift!

OneLittleLady · 10/07/2013 23:34

Will report back tomorrow, I am going into town early to do a little shopping, I prefer to go early in the day as there's less people around, the racks and shelves are tidier and I'm less likely to pick something up that someone's already tried on and left orange foundation marks on! Going to try my luck in the house of fraser outlet again as well, picked up a silk DKNY square silk scarf in there the other day for £6, it makes a perfect hair band when folded up Grin

LinusDKD · 11/07/2013 06:22

Morning!

one I hope you get some good news today.

novice lovely hotel, I have also bookmarked it. I can't remember the last time I was in Florence, it must have been my late teens.

We went to Tuscany for family holidays for years but that's more than twenty years ago.

DH and I are going to Rome in October for DPIL 40th wedding anniversay and I am really looking forward to it. Via dei Condotti, here I come!

Marsha fingers crossed about that job opportunity.

Today is our furniture is going to be delivered, yay! It will be late afternoon until they get here because they have about 800 km to drive and then they have to go through customs but I can't wait for it to arrive.

Today I am wearing the Me&Em maxi dress as it is going to be another hot one.

Drywhiteplease · 11/07/2013 07:55

Marsha job front sounds good .......and series 6! Love love love MM as you know. Annoyed that we have the max Sky sports package but no Sky Atlantic, the one channel I want.....will rectify the situation and order the box set.

QueenCadbury · 11/07/2013 08:07

novice love your attitude to travelling. I'd be exactly the same if only we could afford to! I dragged dh to Florence and Rome when I was pregnant with dd1. He hates city breaks as would rather be up a mountain but I loved them. I'd been obsessed with Florence ever since I'd watched room with a view 100s of times in my teens.

one keep us updated with results of bil. Do get the skirt and try it. The HOF in Birmingham on Saturday had a clearance bit and I was hoping to find a bargain just like you but to no avail.

marsha exciting times.

I'm very happy today as although my weight is still the top end of what I like to be, because I have replaced carbs with beans/quinoa etc I'm a lot less bloated and my waist has some definition again. Just need to sick with it.

Annianni · 11/07/2013 08:10

Morning all...

Fingers crossed for your bil One.

Florence Envy Novice.

Lovely skirt and top Decam.

Good luck for the work Marsha.

There's 25% off full price items on Gap's website today, with the code 'ROYAL'

and I've ordered a Parka from Matches... the shopping ban's going well

libertychick · 11/07/2013 08:55

Oh link the parka Anni!

Well done on the diet change QueenC. I am a bit bloated ATM but I have been v busy so have been grabbing biscuits and toast from the staff canteen instead of eating properly and it shows.

Busy today - off to Ireland tomorrow for a few days so lots to finish off at work and then packing to do - it's going to be cooler there over the weekend - temp set to go down to 15/16 degrees.

We are hand luggage only so for my capsule wardrobe I am thinking:
indigo skinnies, black straight leg jeans, long sleeved navy and white breton, blue fine knit sweater, the blue and white heart print Agnes B shirt, long sleeve grey marl t, Grey whistles lena, navy and white polka dot scarf and one of my many pink scarfs, pink superga and black ballet flats and a couple of necklaces - the white and silver flower one I wore to the meet up and a navy and silver one. Sound ok for 5 days???

Bought a gorgeous neon pink and silver cuff yesterday - in a little local shop so can't link - will be wearing it all weekend too.

libertychick · 11/07/2013 08:57

Actually reading back I think I need another top - possibly the shocking pink fine knit sweater I got from Shop!

shopafrolic · 11/07/2013 09:33

I was going to say you're a bit short on tops Liberty
Morning all! I was going to go hat hunting while DS is at nursery but I really have no money this month so am being virtuous and staying home to do chores instead.
Marsha good news about the possible work, especially if you know and like them already.

mignonette · 11/07/2013 09:39

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

The flowers arrived this morning and there are no words for how much I appreciate your concern and thoughtfulness. I have created a thank you thread because everybody should know how wonderful you all are.

The colours are so me- ochre yellow, peach, pink, cream and buttermilk. And from Wild At Heart! I remember Nikki Tibbles's stall at the start of her career and have always swooned at her creations but never ever had any. I never get flowers.

Bless you all. I am very lucky to know you. And I will always be grateful....

                               xx XX xx
shopafrolic · 11/07/2013 10:03

AAAAwww - glad you love them Mig - credit to Sleep for arranging and choosing - they looked stunning. Glad you know we're all thinking of you!
Dry I've emailed you pics of the dress.....
