Really nice bracelet though Linus. I've got the Stella and Dot Renegade, which is similar in silver (and currently awaiting gold too).

Drywhiteplease · 10/07/2013 19:52

Yep Grumpy worn in your chic way not mutton at all....get then, you'll wear them a lot.

MarshaBrady · 10/07/2013 19:56

Evening everyone. Had some good work type stuff news today. Flexible working option (which would be much better as from home etc) will see what happens. Plus I like the agency and people which is great.

Looking forward to catching up after dc in bed!

shopafrolic · 10/07/2013 19:58

Anni not sure if you got my PM but DS used to have hydrocortisone and Fucidin, it's the one I emailed you that has made the real difference......
Linus LOVE that - I love that you've got a handle on my taste even though we've never met - still love that scarf you PM'd me too.
Too many links for me to catch up on.
Lovely day with my make up artist friend. I didn't see your post about eyeliner to ask her but I use Chanel waterproof eyeliner with no issues Mig
I did ask her how to stop my concealer bunching up under my eyes and she said to try Laura Mercier primer....... Am seeing her again in a few weeks and she says we can hit Space NK together and try some things out!
Dry I'm just about to EBay a white linen dress from Kookai if you want to take a look? You'll have to PM your email address again!

anni when dd had exczema really bad on the backs of her knees I took her to the gp who diagnosed a fungal infection which miconazole cleared up.

QueenCadbury · 10/07/2013 20:17

Like grumpy I wish I had more patience with primark. Although my local one is not too jumble sale like if you go first thing in the morning, it is huge and you really have to root through the tat to find the gems. Did you know primark now has a concession in selfridges?

My internet is being slow so not all the links are opening fast enough for my liking! I did see grumpys trousers though and I say go for it.

My poor dd has a cough worthy of a 60 a day habit. Think it could be a restless night...

BrandyAlexander · 10/07/2013 20:35

Marsha, ooh interesting! Tell us moreSmile

shop, everyone raves about Laura mercier primer. I would also say nars primer as I haven't used the LM one. Really makes a difference to how my make up stays in place.

In charity news, i now have 2 charities that are willing to work with my one as they have people on the ground. Both have been going about 6/8 years. The smaller charity has income of about £50k per year and the larger one has income of £100k. The smaller one has asked me to be a trustee which is pretty cool! Next week we are taking delivery of some of the student supplies eg 400 exercise books. We are doing an assessment of the school next week so I will be spending this evening writing up the questions I want them to ask, videos and pictures I want and the observations. I am very excited about it all as its getting real. I have a major meeting tomorrow so busy day ahead. I am supposed to be taking it easy right now because the autumn looks like a disaster. 3 trips to the US, one Far East and a couple of European tripsShock having said that my poor colleague has had to fly to New York today for a 2 hour meeting. Flew today, back in the morning.ShockShockShock

Last bit of fashion news....I saw the video i shot. I look nice, the outfit worked but I hate how stilted I sound. :(

Drywhiteplease · 10/07/2013 20:40

Novice that sounds amazing ! But how the heck do you do it all? Hope you're going to have a holiday this summer before you jet off again to recharge your batteries!

BrandyAlexander · 10/07/2013 20:47

Dry, dh is muttering that he is getting a bit worried. He is pursing his lips a bit as after the big event last month I was seriously fatigued as it was the culmination of 4 back to back type high stress projects over a 9 month period.

Dh and I are supposed to be having a weekend away but I can't seem to find somewhere. If anyone wants to find me a romantic weekend break...!Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/07/2013 20:52

Sounds v busy Novice, but great that you're getting so much accomplished. Don't worry about the way you sound - it always sounds weird to hear your own voice from outside the confines of your own head but nobody else will think that. And I'm sure you did look fab!

Just had a try on of everything - the boots are fine and well worth the bargainous price. They look better in the reflection of the mirror than they do looking down upon them - keepers.
The Maison Scotch T is luvverly, but the real triumph are the Pepe jeans. The best-fitting, comfiest and sexiest jeans ever with shading in just the right places and sooo super soft. I can see me wearing them to death and I love their faded grey-ness. And now you lot are trying to enable me to buy the snake print zipped trews. After bloody Dry convinced me very convincingly to buy the orange moccasins. As I said, spending ban a total disaster, although in my defence most of what I've bought recently would adapt very well to AW and is not summery at all.

Decameron · 10/07/2013 20:54

Mignonette, welcome back. I love all the skirts in your link in particular. And the pavlova, yum yum.

My friend thinks the DVF blouse is a bit Nana goes to bingo but we shall see!

Exciting news about the charity, Novice, and that it is all coming together. Your pink dress and cage heels outfit sound amazing.

Funny about the dress, Dry! I tried on the H&M blouse, I like the buttons down the back but it is hard to close and too similar to the MrsCB blouse, so I returned it and ordered this skirt and top instead. I am wearing the black version of the skirt now, really flattering (I think, don't have a full length mirror though so may be deluded).

Gorgeous scarf, Linus.

I would take DS to the GP, Anni, DD2 has also had a fungal infection which looked like eczema.

Hope your DD sleeps tonight, QueenC and I think the shorts were an absolute necessity!

Decameron · 10/07/2013 20:55

Grumpy the adapting to AW purchases are my excuse too. GrinJeans sound fab.

Decameron · 10/07/2013 20:56

Shop I have used a couple of different primers incl. the Laura Mercier one but the best I've found so far is Garnier 5 second perfect blur.

I have no patience with Primark but love H&M, especially for the DDs.

OneLittleLady · 10/07/2013 21:04

Stressful couple of days, BIL was taken into hospital yesterday and the results of the lumbar puncture are showing that it's likely that he's had a brain hemorrhage. Waiting to hear more news from SIL, shes at the hospital now waiting on MRI results. Sad

Drywhiteplease · 10/07/2013 21:08

Hee hee Grumpy glad you got the moccasins ! Have you tried them with white?

Decameron H and M blouse still not arrived (grrrr) but, after nearly dislocating shoulder trying to do up a buttons up the back top I had on today, will have to think carefully about it.

Where do you fancy Novice? Uk?

Drywhiteplease · 10/07/2013 21:09

Oh my god One that's bad....so sorry.

QueenCadbury · 10/07/2013 21:19

Oh no one is he ok?

QueenCadbury · 10/07/2013 21:21

novice I really don't know how you do it.

Give us more idea about the romantic break. Uk? Abroad? Sure we can come up with something. Didn't someone post some good suggestions ages ago...? Can't remember who it was or where it was for though!

shopafrolic · 10/07/2013 21:28

Really sorry to hear that One

BrandyAlexander · 10/07/2013 21:30

Oh One, your poor bilThanks poor all of you. x

OneLittleLady · 10/07/2013 21:39

MRI scan has been done, just waiting on the results being examined and should know more tomorrow. He's obviously being kept in the hospital for now but it's appears that it's been caught early which gives him the best possible chance of coming through ok. thank you for all your good wishes Thanks

BrandyAlexander · 10/07/2013 21:45

Romantic break.... The reason why i am having trouble is that I am a divaBlush. it has to be within a 3 hour flight from London or in the UK. If its abroad, it has l be BA or someone similar. I don't do easy jet, Ryan air etc. has to be a 5 star hotel. Ooh in the midst of writing this I just had a brain wave and might have thought of somewhere!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/07/2013 21:52

oooh, give us a clue Novice!

I've moved onto Florence as a possible short break for DH and I for our 20th anniversary in Sept, although Paris not completely discounted.

BrandyAlexander · 10/07/2013 22:02

Omg Grumpy! Florence is where I am thinkingGrin

2 hours 7 mins from London. I have just been looking at this hotel
