Santa God yes, Marant could clean up. COS have really paid tribute to Celine too and as for Zara as Paris pointed out.....

shopafrolic · 08/07/2013 18:15

Not sure about that one Grumpy - I think it will depend how shiny and also how thick the fabric is. If it was a leather thickness and a slightly dull silver I think it would be easier to wear..... how would you style it?

Drywhiteplease · 08/07/2013 21:30

Good got...no wifi for 3 hrs.....have been listening to "99 red bloody balloons", Tracey Chapman who made me want to kill myself on a good day, let alone when I've been without Internet for hours, don't the know I have a desperate need for a pair of Gigis now the suns out and "Rio" by DD, whom I was rather partial to in the day,.....bloody Virgin. Anyway back now!

Hmm Grumpy not a skirt for Xmas Day, you might get accidentally put in the oven, basted and served with a nice jus.....roasted Grumpy anyone? won't make any stuffing jokes, far to rude for someone as posh as me

Drywhiteplease · 08/07/2013 21:30

Grin Wink

santamarianovella · 08/07/2013 21:39

dry no wifi is such a scary thing i get all panicky, even dd screams "no internet" as it seems it only ever happens when she is watching the wiggles big red car song on youtube!

shopafrolic · 08/07/2013 21:55

Which Gigis are you getting Dry?

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 08/07/2013 22:05

Well you know me.....fancy tan but have seen gold at a good price on Amazon.

libertychick · 08/07/2013 22:32

Paris and Mig - great that you have had such good news today.
Linus hope your DD feels better soon and that you get some rest tonight. Well done on the bank account Novice.
Grumpy it?s a difficult skirt ? if you had toddlers they would love it though!!! Agree with Shop that a more matte look might be better.

I have spent the evening sipping wine and looking at pretty dresses. This is fantasy stuff ? I am not, as you all know, actually going to buy a dress! Wink

Maxmara polka dot
Raoul white
McQ beetle print ? Love this but probably not brave enough who am I kidding, not rich enough more like

And then I realised that lots of dresses appealed but wouldn?t suit me so I had a go at matching people to dresses!!!! Such fun ? I didn?t do everyone ? much easier when I have actually seen people

QueenC
Marsha
Novice
MrsR
Sleep
Shop

So how did I do??? Miles off??? Vaguely close for anyone?? Smile

shopafrolic · 08/07/2013 22:49

I like mine Liberty and as you know I'm not too confident at finding dresses to suit me! You've got a skill there! Can totally see everyone in what you picked for them. Love your choice for Sleep. Will watch who comes back with positive feedback with interest!

libertychick · 08/07/2013 22:56

Yipee - one success will do me!

Drywhiteplease · 08/07/2013 23:02

Great game liberty

Grumpy hope you weren't offended by my skirt comments!

MrsRadicchio · 09/07/2013 07:06

Mig and Paris so pleased to hear your good news.

Novice that's great about the bank account. So two steps to go then? Will it take long to get it fully up and running now?

Ha ha Liberty I am impressed! I can see that the dress you picked is my sort of style. I love your choice for Sleep and think she would look great in it - Sleep you should buy it!!

LinusDKD · 09/07/2013 07:11

Morning!

liberty what have you done?! I like all those dresses but I am on a spending ban! Frustrating!

My favourite is the McQueen one, luckily it is too ££££ for me to even consider it. I might pin it though for the winter sales Wink

Poor DD had quite a restless night but I hope she is over the worst now. The spots are scabbing over nicely so I hope I can go out with her tomorrow. Just to the supermarket but that'll do because I am starting to suffer from cabin fever.

We also had to get up several times for DS because he had nightmares, so not a lot of sleep again. Yawn!

QueenCadbury · 09/07/2013 07:23

I like mine liberty. Excellent choice even though you've never met me!

shopafrolic · 09/07/2013 08:01

Morning all - I love the Maxmara polka dot too Liberty

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 09/07/2013 08:23

The one you picked for me has been reduced this morning
I love the pockets on it, not sure it's a quite deep enough colour, also slightly worried about how long it is in the body. Are you about Marsha? What do you reckon.....?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 09/07/2013 08:33

Ooh pretty dresses! Nice one Liberty.

Shop my only thing is the high waist, which would be high on anyone. But the colour could be fabulous. I really like it for you. I like the £ too and am tempted too but think the colour might be tricky on me. Good for autumns?

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2013 08:33

Love my one too Liberty be fab if it was on sale!

libertychick · 09/07/2013 09:25

Worth a try Shop Wink it can always go back. The waist line is a bit tricky - risk of looking pregnant - but I thought you could pull it off and I loved the pockets too.

I have looked at the polka dot maxmara several times today - seems to have some pleating at the neckline which might not work though.... The Raoul is completely impractical I've decided and the McQ is fantasy stuff - even if I could afford it I am not sure I have the 'sass' to carry it off.

Glad everyone likes them!

Annianni · 09/07/2013 10:34

Where's my dress? Sad

Love the others though.

Waiting for ds2 to wake up so we can feed the ducks and swans. He didn't sleep well last night, with the heat and his eczema (sp) poor thing kept scratching.

Shop, what does your ds wear in bed when it's hot?
If I don't put a vest on ds2, he scratches himself to bits.
Same with short pj's... he then scratches his legs.
No matter how short his nails are, he still does it.

OneLittleLady · 09/07/2013 10:49

No dress for me either Sad then again, I don't think I post enough links to give a good idea of my style Smile

In,amazing only to me news, I have tried on an old maxi dress that I was going togive away because it's a size 12 AND IT FITS!!!!! I do know that Joe Browns (the brand of the dress) are a bit generous anyway so it's probably more like a 14 if I'm honest but that's still over a dress size smaller than I was wearing Grin

shopafrolic · 09/07/2013 11:32

Anni at the moment DS is sleeping in his nappy. The less clothes rubbing against him the less he scratches. We cut his nails super short and put a layer of Epaderm cream all over him immediately before bed so his skin is super moist. We also give him a dose of Piriton which seems to help with the itchiness.
Daytime as few clothes as possible and am now trying Sunsense toddler milk (the pink one) SPF50 - it is ££££ but we've tried everything else and lots of people with kids with eczema have recommended it. Will keep you posted. Oh and we took away his duvet and he has a very thin blanket.....

Sorry Anni, One, Dry, Linus, Grumpy, Santa, McNally, Decam, Foxy, Paris, mignon, Gwen, Amber, Carrie and hopefully I would have been up all night if I did everyone Smile. I did the easy ones, people I have actually met and QueenC as I browse around her lovely pin boards quite often and know her colours so feel like I have a good idea of her style. Did worry that I could make people feel excluded but half the fun of this thread is getting to look at clothes for other people.

One I love it when a lower size fits!! I have a pair of Monsoon skinny velvet jeans which I ADORE just because they say size 10 - My hips are categorically not size 10.

shopafrolic · 09/07/2013 12:13

I keep looking at this and thinking of you MrsR
