Faddy soooo glad you got the dress.
If any of you are looking for a good hairdresser in the Earl's Court area then my hairdresser has moved to an independent salon and is fabulous (I know I have short hair but when it was long he was fab too!). His client base travel from all over the UK to come and see him and he even has one woman who flies back from the US for appointments!
He's a very talented man and does lots of work at LFW and for magazines. He's not great on chat!
He's based here now ask for Tim Fursedonn
I've run round a field twice this morning - even my lab lay down for a rest after the first lap!

My kaliko tops have arrived.

blue. I think this is a keeper as the colour is gorgeous but just not sure if it looks a bit overdressed for daytime with converse and jeans? Opinions please.
green. Not a keeper. Bizarre shape, admittedly too big and not quite the right green colour.
purple. Lovely colour but already have a top in the same colour so I don't need it.

QueenCadbury · 20/06/2013 13:10

grumpy the jumper is fine but you don't sound too sure about it. I love the shorts and am Envy of you being able to wear them.

faddy so glad you got the dress.

mig I like the vero moda top best because I adore the colour.

IMO it's worth paying for a haircut you're happy with. I pay £55 at essensuals.

shopafrolic · 20/06/2013 13:14

Who was after a striped maxi dress

QueenCadbury · 20/06/2013 13:51

Anyone want some ted baker sunglasses (black) or an oasis cream and gold cardigan xs. Pictures on my profile if you're interested (mumsnet mates only!)

MrsRadicchio · 20/06/2013 14:04

Hello all! Not been able to post (or shop!) for various reasons but am lurking and enjoying shopping vicariously. Am still up for MU next month.

Just a few quick things that occurred to me while reading

Grumpy I agree with Mig that white sweatshirt is the way to go. Saw a lovely one in whistles for £125 (!) can't see on website but it is new stock. Or how about this from atterley road

I love the elephant shorts. If you like that kind of print, have you seen Charlotte Taylor? She does some similar things.

QueenC I actually think that top is dressy, think it may be too dressy for day to day.

Linus hope your DS gets better soon.

mignonette · 20/06/2013 14:14

Shop I know Tim Fursedonn. I went to school with him! I cannot say more because I'll out myself but he was my friend.

Just googled him and here he is.

Got myself the chills....What a tiny little old World!

Queen I'm voting for blue because of the depth of colour. It looks very good quality.

Drywhiteplease · 20/06/2013 14:27

QueenC I really love the blue Kaliko (tempted) but seems dressy. I'd order it and try it with jeans and see though.
Anni v annoying,tedious returns.
Shop I'd have been tempted to lie down with the lab myself!Grin
Mignonette "crepuscular murk" must be the most impressive phrase I've ever read on MN! And stop with the ice cream......limited edition peanut butter KitKat....where?Shock
Faddy it's fate, the dress w meant to be.
Grumpy the shorts are sweet, I quite like the jumper but did have one a lot like that in the 80s.......if I'm ever unsure I don't buy.

Just got home ....DHL have left my Nancy with neighbour who is now out and I'm going out at 5! Can't stand it....do I break in? There is a window open at the back?Wink

mignonette · 20/06/2013 14:43

Dry Mixed messages regarding ice cream and chocolate information Smile. You can buy peanut butter KitKats from most decent sweet shops and garages. Waitrose inexplicably doesn't sell it but Tesco does. The new Reeses PB wafer sticks are good too. I have been conducting intensive research into these things. I have developed a Duodenal ulcer these last few months and ice cream soothes it Grin.

Oh god, the torture of your Nancy living with somebody else albeit for a day. If I were your neighbour I would understand if you did nip through my windows. I would have compassion.

libertychick · 20/06/2013 14:45

Do it Dry - break in! Anyone half reasonable would understand Grin

Impressed with use of 'crepuscular' too - lovely word.

When did sweatshirts get so bloody expensive???? £125 is mad.

Will look at links later....

santamarianovella · 20/06/2013 15:02

dry its totally understandable if you break in ! i cant wait to hear about your first meeting with nancy Grin.

mig i have never heard of pb kitkat,i tried the coconut one and it was meh,not worth all the hype.

queen the blue top is lovely not sure about the rest.

linus hope your DS is better.

foxysocks · 20/06/2013 15:12

queenc i actually like them all! but i can't do a cowl. if you can, they look like great drapey material and v versatile.

foxysocks · 20/06/2013 15:13

my worn NAP are on it, big stylee. j crew parka just been despatched

now if they'd just discount the arty another £50 that's my sales over Grin

foxysocks · 20/06/2013 15:13

*WORD.

shopafrolic · 20/06/2013 15:14

Mignonette that's hilarious. I was telling Tim all about the MNV thread the last time I was in. If you want me to say hi next time I'm there then PM me. He's very talented - does he do your hair then? I guess not, if you knew him from his old life?
He still has clients that he went to school with who come to London to get their hair done!

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 20/06/2013 15:16

I HAVE IT!!!Grin
decided against breaking in, so stake out instead and pounced as soon as they came back.
It is beautiful, so lovely. The gold hardware is that burnished gold I love (didn't know that) so not too shiny, and no logos at all. Even the carrier is beautiful. But..........the colour is not exactly as on the website where it looks more of a sky blue, in fact it's more of a turquoise blue without being garish. Love it. Looks fab with denim. It will now be a challenge for my OCD matchy matchy tendencies............need to wear it a lot.

Oh the power of a lovely bag.....I despair at my shallowness but know you will all understand Smile

foxysocks · 20/06/2013 15:23

ohhhh YAY! we totes understand, dry Grin am so pleased for you. I can actually feel the happiness emanating from your words

lois28thoms · 20/06/2013 15:24

As someone that as almost cried over a pair of strappy heels Dry I quite understand. It's great to hear you so excited over something. Smile

shopafrolic · 20/06/2013 15:27

Lovely Dry so pleased it's fab

OP posts:
libertychick · 20/06/2013 15:47

Enjoy it Dry. I have new bag Envy!
Probably best that you didn't break in Grin

foxysocks · 20/06/2013 15:52

oh faddy missed that you nabbed the dress! good work. twas meant to be.

imagine if dry had set off an alarm through a break and enter?! 'sorry officer, but there's this bag, it's by smythson, and.....' rofl

Drywhiteplease · 20/06/2013 16:14

Foxy that's exactly what I'd have said too Grin ....tried to be cool with neighbour's husband but shrieked " it's my new handbag!", he looked bemused but sighed in a resigned fashion!

A friend of mine, years ago when heavily pregnant, was stopped for speeding by police. When she pulled over she said " yes, I did it, but I'm desperate for a pee, so follow me home and I'll give you all the info once I've been to the loo!!!" .....she wasn't joking, they let her off Grin

Drywhiteplease · 20/06/2013 16:16

And thanks all for sharing my excitement......no RL friends know about it.

QueenCadbury · 20/06/2013 16:16

Congratulations on the arrival of nancy dry!

MarshaBrady · 20/06/2013 16:20
