Foxy yes definitely, think they'll be too big.

foxysocks · 07/05/2013 09:43

thanks marsha. no 25s in stock of the ones I want so think it'll have to be 24s and cross my fingers! will link once purchased Grin

QueenCadbury · 07/05/2013 09:44

Nice jacket foxy. I love my denim jacket but hardly ever wear it as I'm usually in jeans. What are people's thoughts on this maxi skirt?

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 07/05/2013 09:53

Hello hello!

So many posts to catch up on. I've been quiet this weekend due to work deadlines and celebrating my first wedding anniversary.

Sorry to hear about all the illness. DH had to leave the table at the resturant during our anniversary dinner as he felt sick all of a sudden.

With all the lovely sunshine my attention is now on bikinis gulp. In December DH and I are going away for 3 weeks. We're visiting friends in Hong Kong and then travelling to Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. I hadn't given holiday clothes much thought, because I hate them and because I've only just realised that there won't be any summer clothes in the shops when we go. Duh!

I thought silky short shorts, maxi skirt, pj style trousers and some smarter shorts for HK, KL and Bangkok, worn with vest tops and t shirts would be ok? I'll probably leave all my heels behind (gasp!) so I'll need some seriously gorgeous sandals to make up for it. I was thinking something like the ones Shop linked to, but in a nude colour. I'd like to steal the idea of a kimono top but, as I'll be in HK I should be able to get something from there shouldn't I?

Back to bikinis. I'm heading to the Big Smoke in a couple of weeks and thought about Victorias Secret for bikinis. I saw this. I'd get the same bikini in black, white and purple punch. Do any of you have a VS bikini? Are they any good? Will the white one become see through on contact with water?!

Sorry for the me, me, me post. Hopefully you'll be able to give me some advice on what to wear in SE Asia. I have never been and DH just shrugged and said 'get some shorts or something' Hmm.

foxysocks · 07/05/2013 09:57

I don't have VS bikini yet but they are top of my list too paris. i like the non-push up bandeau top and the string tie bottoms. very interested in any feedback on quality. do they stock all the bikini options at the london stores, does anyone know?

queenc i think it will get most use over my maxi dresses or with the white jeans i am about to bite the bullet and order.

is anyone a size 16? please get this I LOVE it

foxysocks · 07/05/2013 09:57

SE Asia - you need shoulders covered for out and about unless in v resorty places. natural fibres best!

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2013 09:58

Love the rebranding Foxy and the J Crew denim.

Anni hope docs is ok.

Linus great dresses.

I love my c/e floral skinnies but they are a bit too slouchy (in normal size).

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 07/05/2013 09:58

Foxy I would love some Rockstuds too.

I saw a woman wearing some coming in to Zara just as I was leaving. I stopped right in front of her and stared for a few seconds. DH suggested I might be scaring the woman. I told him that she knew why I was staring, it was ok Grin

santamarianovella · 07/05/2013 09:58

hope everyone is feeling better today.

foxysocks · 07/05/2013 09:59

queenc - I'm not sure about the length. on me it would look like it was too short rather than styled that way.

OneLittleLady · 07/05/2013 09:59

Love that skirt foxy and I am the right size for it.....

foxysocks · 07/05/2013 10:01

pmsl at rockstud staring. i would have done exactly the same thing then mugged her for them

foxysocks · 07/05/2013 10:02

BUY IT ONELITTLELADY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

those lanvins are a good price but like marsha am not keen on any of the colours. also mainly 3s. always the way!

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2013 10:03

Ah I don't know what rock studs are. Link please!

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 07/05/2013 10:10

Ohmygerd Valentino Rockstuds

They are available in lots of colours and heights.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 07/05/2013 10:12

QueenC The skirt you linked is an odd length. I like maxis to skim the floor. If you are very willowy it could work though.

AmberNectarine · 07/05/2013 10:19

Am wearing maternity yoga pants today. There will be no blogging. At least I am wearing an Alexander Wang vest.

I did really like Rockstuds but now they are everywhere and massively ripped off I have lost interest. I think with something really of the moment like that you have to get in early, a la Marant wedges.

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2013 10:19

Of course! Thanks Paris. I would certainly take a good look at those if I saw them mid street. Very Paris FW. Valentino swoon. Some one has to get them Grin (timeshare?)

QueenC not sure on skirt, might be joy of warm weather looks a bit heavy-ish.

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2013 10:21

I'm so late on Marant wedges they will be out of fashion completely before I contemplate them.

QueenCadbury · 07/05/2013 10:21

I figured on me that it would skim the floor as I'm 5'5 rather than model size and I only have short legs. Not sure I'm willowy though Grin. Think I'll give it a miss.

I went to a Malaysian island as part of our honeymoon (December 2004 when the tsunami hit). It was lovely and hot but we didn't venture out of the 5star luxury hotel so not sure if there are any dress restrictions. My only experience of HK was in August years ago and all I really remember is the humidity!

LinusDKD · 07/05/2013 11:16

I don't have a picture of my Dries Van Noten sandals (have no idea where they are actually Blush ) but they are the same ones as in the first picture in this link but I have them in tan.

I bought them at Poste Mistress in Monmouth street about 5 years ago and have not often been brave enough to wear them and now I would break my neck chasing after 2.3 year old DS.

forum.purseblog.com/the-glass-slipper/dries-van-noten-shoes-298933.html

Foxy, love the denim jacket. I have never found one I look good in though.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 07/05/2013 11:19

Linus Those sandals are gorgeous!

Annianni · 07/05/2013 11:41

So apparently I don't have the plague and it's a migraine.
I've to go back in a couple of days if it's not gone.
And the nice doctor with give me the good drugs incase I get another :o

Silver Superga are here and are quite blingy.
Dh isn't keen on them.
And they are huge, quite flappy round my ankles, so I've ordered a 5.5 to try.

I've put a photo on my pin, in my shopping bit.
Not going to link on here, but you can look if you know who I am on there.
Please ignore the rather pale legs :o

I ordered that skirt yesterday QueenC in the grey, with a 20% off code... bloody annoyed that they're reduced today.
Might email customer services and ask if they'll refund me the difference, because I'll just send this order back and re-order the skirt and dresses otherwise.

Annianni · 07/05/2013 11:43

It's ok Hopefully, I'm not fit to drive to the post office at the moment.

shopafrolic · 07/05/2013 12:30

I am an Aunty!!! To twin boys - how exciting! 3 weeks early. Just over 2lb each!!
