Poor you mrs r and your dcs. Hope they get well soon.

MrsRadicchio · 05/04/2013 15:30

Sorry for excessive posts but keep remembering things! Liberty, I saw you mentioned cutting out sugar to lose weight on another thread...was that added sugar (eg in tea) or sugary foods? Hope you say the former!

I've just bought the shred, now I need to actually do it.

Marsha, your mention of schools has interested me! Se London is somewhere we've been thinking of so I may pm you if that's ok. I don't know the area well and would be good to have an insight!

MrsRadicchio · 05/04/2013 15:30

Thanks novice, at least they are sleeping!

foxysocks · 05/04/2013 15:37

MrsR fruit and veg. have been living on bread, chocolate, lattes and almond croissants for about a week

MarshaBrady · 05/04/2013 15:52

MrsR Yes go for it!

Foxy I love that top, so much and nearly pressed buy this morning. But am two yellow tops up, and need to do something about other depleted wardrobe parts first. Was so hard to resist!

Glad the Celine is gorgeous!

MarshaBrady · 05/04/2013 15:53

! Overdose.

foxysocks · 05/04/2013 16:07

haha! did the j crew tee arrive marsha? is it massive on you or ok?

I am looking at grey trainers and green knitwear today after the acne dress I was stalking went OOS www.my-wardrobe.com/acne/green-shore-solid-zip-back-knit-dress-461583

foxysocks · 05/04/2013 16:13

what do you reck to this green cable knit? nice or a bit mumsy?

OneLittleLady · 05/04/2013 16:18

It's nice but a tiny bit on the mumsy side. I'd still wear it though Grin

MarshaBrady · 05/04/2013 16:24

Foxy I do prefer the acne, or are you looking for a substitute?

short one at Matches

Oh shopstyle it says that Selfridges have the long one but can't get the link to work. here

I missed the DHL yesterday, I knew I would, and accidentally went out today without thinking with dh and ds. I realised in a cafe and groaned out loud when I realised, argh. But rang and thankfully they just hold it until you're in rather than bring it twice.

foxysocks · 05/04/2013 16:33

Well I really want the long acne for £100! FP it's too much for me but doesn't look like they last until sales time before selling out

MarshaBrady · 05/04/2013 16:37

I know, it's so much.

shopafrolic · 05/04/2013 16:37

£80 less in the US for the Acne!!! We're so getting conned in this country!
I don't like the Brora as much foxy - sorry!

I'm back from hols! It's rubbish - we all had such a good time. DH and I have done lots of talking and planning for the future - head feels clear. I've come back and embarked on a cleaning frenzy. Am bleaching everything in sight wearing I&I striped cashmere - probably not smart!

OP posts:
Annianni · 05/04/2013 16:37

I like that green knit aslong as it's not worn with that hideous belt Foxy :o

Glad the Celine's here and you like it.

That yellow Duffy knit is so nice.

I had ordered Liberty's Boden breton, but I don't like the curved hem, so back it'll go.

I also tried Amber's Sainsburys top and I liked it, but the shape was wrong on me.

I've just ordered some Ash spirals from AR to try and the navy Petit Bateau pea coat that i've liked for ages

Annianni · 05/04/2013 16:39

I do prefer the Acne knit though (sorry Foxy)

Glad you've had a nice time Shop

MarshaBrady · 05/04/2013 16:45

Shop welcome back Smile, well you were here, but welcome back home.

Anni I saw that on pin and liked Grin. I thought oh well done for getting the Petit Bateau when I saw it, it's lovely.

I do wish I had ordered the Duffy now, but an M will be massivo, even the xs looks fairly roomy. I have enough yellow I have enough cashmere I have enough block simple bright colours to last a lifetime... and repeat (still wish I had).

Hopefully · 05/04/2013 17:10

Pants, my phone seems to be unwilling to open links at the moment, so can't see all these nice things being linked! Will look properly in a bit.

American Apparel order arrived, nothing very interesting, except one nice v neck tshirt which is perfect for me. Will link later.

Sleepwhenidie · 05/04/2013 17:12

Marsha I could definitely say the same re cashmere and colours...but gave in and ordered the duffy colour block. It arrived today, note which of my boards it is now on Blush. Have also, inpired by Olivia, ordered leopard print shorts from Mango to try. Am sure my legs will look just like that Hmm.

Shop glad you are doing ok, but step away from the bleach or get the I&I off!

Foxy - the skirt arrived?! Yay! Brora a bit too mumsy for me too I'm afraid. Unless you can style it out, which I suspect you might Grin

Novice hope you all feel better soon in your house. Unbelievably we have been struck with a vile tummy bug again, except DD seems to have escaped this time. Luckily we have family around to take her away from the four of us who are pathetic and listless indoors. Hoping we will all be better for the long drive back to London tomorrow, it's a grim prospect at the moment. I cannot get over how ill we have all been the last two months Sad. Am really cross to be losing so much fitness too, especially when shorts and bikinis are waiting to be worn.

Sleepwhenidie · 05/04/2013 17:18

drywhite have you tried James Perse for a maxi? Thnk it is much cheaper over there and gorgeous quality.

shopafrolic · 05/04/2013 18:14

Sleep that Duffy colour block is just gorgeous! Bleaching done, I&I intact!
Has anyone washed their I&I cashmere yet? Is it handwashable by machine (IYSWIM) or truly truly hand wash?

OP posts:
Sleepwhenidie · 05/04/2013 18:24

I don't have any I&I but all my cashmere goes in the machine on 30deg delicates cycle and is fine. DO NOT try with baby alpaca however .

QueenCadbury · 05/04/2013 19:30

Hi all, great purchases as usual. foxy I like the Brora knit except for the colour although I'm guessing it must suit you for you to have chosen it?

I've lost my style mojo at the moment and can't get excited about clothes. It's just too bloody cold and I'm sick of whatever I wear being covered up anyway in a big coat. I often get like this though at the end of school hols and start to crave routine again so hopefully on Monday once the kids are back at school I'll find my mojo again.

shopafrolic · 05/04/2013 20:51

Oh shit! Panic stations ladies! I forgot I'm due at a Christening on Sunday. I have no money to buy anything. Would you be kind enough to look at my boards and tell me what the hell to wear?
too dressy?
It's a teeny village church, and will no doubt be freeeeezing.......
Black trousers and blouse better???? Aaa argh - bad planning.

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 05/04/2013 21:02

Like the dress shopafrolic could you get away with wearing opaques with it to cut down on the freeze?

BrandyAlexander · 05/04/2013 21:04

If you go down dress route maybe ....blue reiss dress, your florettes, camel coat, mk watch and that gorgeous scarf I like?

You could do the same with red reiss dress? You could add dark or beige cardi to any of the above?

The dress you linked, florettes, coat, watch but different scarf?

Tights mandatory!Grin
