Hi Frugal. Could do with some fiscally responsible shopping. Not so much cutting down as my wardrobe is quite pared down at the moment but making intelligent purchases that actually go with things I already have.

Really love the Prada bag Decameron. Coach one is gorgeous but think the Prada is beautiful.

Good eBay sales sleep. Really must get round to getting started with eBay.

What a nightmare about SP shop. Have my fingers crossed that your orders are perfect.

Lovely Gap buys Anni.

Just had this Zara parka delivered. Wanted something for trips to park etc with the better weather until I get the chance to actually get the chance to go to the shops and find something I love. Not too sure about it. Bit of a departure from my usual style but might keep me going for the moment.

Bugger my MiH refund hasn't gone in. Sent them back ages ago. Paid on debit card so no cover. Ringing me back later. Bugger Sad

foxysocks · 05/03/2013 15:54

oh marsha that's awful. hopefully there is something they can do. my goat refund happened pretty quickly i think, might just go and recheck it now

ebay is def worth it mcnally - selling has bought me a pair of goldsigns, a pair of j brands and some ash trainers so far this year. all three are looking like staples for the coming years. reinvesting wisely rocks.

shopafrolic · 05/03/2013 15:58

Oh Marsha not good! I didn't want. Two jackets, was planning on choosing. Should probably have told them not to ship but I don't believe I would have been refunded..... So hope they fit! I feel so sorry for the women on the phone. They sound devastated! Hope it gets sorted.

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 16:10

I think you did the right thing Shop. I get the impression that any £ owed after a certain date just goes into a long queue. So much better to have the items than try and get any £.

foxysocks · 05/03/2013 16:22

Try and sell them on if they are no good for you, shop. Either here or ebay, bet you ll get good money for them BNWT. X

shopafrolic · 05/03/2013 16:24

Thanks all. So rubbish!

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 16:26

Definitely in a line of creditors. Nothing they can do Sad

Bum.

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 16:28

Goldsigns are here and are good.

But not sure if will keep considering seem to be throwing £ away on non-existent off white jeans. Argh

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 16:47

Dh just sent me an email as he's trying to help me out. And at the bottom he put in large bold 48 point font 'Go High Street'.

Oh well least he made me laugh.

shopafrolic · 05/03/2013 17:42

Oh Marsha that is beyond rubbish :(

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 17:55

Thanks Shop, I feel ok as not huge in the grand scheme of things. But that sinking feeling when you realise an Internet order has gone wrong is rubbish!

I was freaking out a bit as dh paid (I havd my own SE account) and knew he'd not be happy as thinks I ahem like shopping too much. But I sounded really panicked and stressed so he was quite nice and tried to cheer me up. Blasted white skinnies have been the trickiest of all things to get that's for sure!

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 17:58

Carrie Easter trips to Miami sound so good. I grew up in Aus, family moved there when we were little, and I go back every two years. Nice to have another place to go to in winter months!

Argh double posted

Annianni · 05/03/2013 18:06

Marsha there's some sort of cover for debit cards I think. Google your bank and 'charge back' there's something floating round in my head about the bank giving you the money back as you haven't got the goods. Not sure if there's a min/max amount though.
But worth checking.

foxysocks · 05/03/2013 18:10

yes marsha, I think anni might be right. can you contact your bank and get them to help? I'm so sorry it's all gone wrong for you. xx

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 18:50

Ah thanks Anni and Foxy will check it out.

BrandyAlexander · 05/03/2013 19:05

Oh poor you MarshaHmm that's rubbish isn't it?

Decameron I was looking at that bag last week and loved it. I do love coach as well though just the prada prob edges it here.

Charm bracelet - there was some arsey thread a few days ago slating pandora wearers in aibu. Was one of those miserable kind of threads. I wear charm bracelets all the time. I have my Tiffanys one, also from Swarovski and I also have the Thomas sabo charm watch. I couldn't be bothered to post so read and run.

Marsha and shop, really hope you get your style passport stuff/refunds. How awful! Poor staff too.

Was actually just going in to the website tonight to have a look. Won 't do so now.

Thx for the tip off.

Annianni · 05/03/2013 19:34

I took my Tiffany charm bracelet into my local cobblers last week and got him to cut one of my charms off, using his spinny wheel machine.

Most of my charms are the lock style ones, so I could take them off.

There was a disc fixed at the end with the date of our wedding engraved on... done by dh so he never forgets :o (which i've kept on)

But there was another fixed in the middle which cobbler man chopped off for me, so I can wear it more often.

shopafrolic · 05/03/2013 19:39

I have no problem with charm bracelets, just not my thing. Personally not keen on Pandora ones, but no issue with others loving them. Each to their own. I have my Grandmother's rose gold charm bracelet (but no charms) which I wear as the chain is sturdy and I love rose gold. I did have some Sabo bracelets and charms but I'm in the process of selling them on EBay.
A cobbler cutting through Tiffany jewellery sounds terrifying to me!

scripsi · 05/03/2013 19:42

I joined in this thread and then was promptly whisked off to glamorous Belgium for a work trip. I have decided that I need a new watch. I have a birthday coming up luckily! I already have a rather chunky Breitling and I want something different and wearable for both work and play. I tried rose gold out and it doesn't look right on me. So I am thinking of a steel bracelet or leather bracelet. I rather like the Hermes Cape Cod watch but wouldn't wear that every day, so perhaps this by Christopher Ward (who I have never heard of before: any good?) www.christopherward.co.uk/women/modern-classic/emily/s21-dec-swt-xl.html
Do brown leather watch bracelets get horribly stained by hand cream etc?
Also quite like this one: www.christopherward.co.uk/sale/n22-chr-sws.html
Any thoughts?

Is the only way to return items to shopbop by DHL $40 or can you post? Anyone?
