Only three so hard. Lanvin dress, Stella green coat, Celine bag.

I would then put on three I&I jumpers Lanvin wedges to run out door.

I would take my red DVF coat, belstaffs and black AH Maeve bag. Then go shopping with the insurance. Probably straight to New York.

Good idea to get the large sweater, Foxy, mine is a little too short and it bothers me!

Get well soon, Shop.

Still thinking......quite tricky because I actually don't have anything of huge value, my Mulberry bag, my 40th brooch......but I'm sentimentally attached to a lot though. Do you insure your wardrobe? I think if I had to replace the lot it would be expensive....not a clue what price I'd put on it, not £££££££££ though.

Good question Shop!

I have a wardrobe full of tat bargains and nothing that close to my heart. This is a problem, I think.

If jewellery is allowed, I would take a necklace and earrings which belonged to my gran, which I wore on my wedding day. By the time I'd rifled through my jewellery to find them, I would just have time to grab my All Saints leather jacket on the way out. It was a gilet when I bought it, and I had leather sleeves added to make it into a jacket.

If I don't take the jewellery, would take Nike x Liberty hi tops and barbour with liberty lining!

Now a question from me: what are your "ones that got away"? Things you didn't buy then regretted or gave away in a fit of decluttering and regretted?

Mine are a whistles scarf with pineapples on it, waiting for it to go on sale and it sold out. And a bag whose strap broke so I got rid of it, but without strap it would have actually made a really good clutch and I see a lot of them about and feel irritated.

I can't remember who linked to the Whistles shoe but they are on sale at the moment. here.

Morning all - great answers! Thanks. Am still reading but Marsha you forgot you'd look a bit odd fleeing the scene with no bottom half on! Grin

lol Shop I know! Grin

I figured I didn't have time to change what was there, hopefully something respectable.

It's funny cos some of it could be replaced anyway as getting a bit used but I still value it over losing it and getting new ones.

MrsR good one.

I wish I had bought an Azzedine Alaia dress on sale when I was in NYC at 22. I reckon that's the best age and place to wear it.

Also I wish I had filled that outnet basket with more I&I goodies! But thought I'd miss it all if I spent too long doing it.

Drywhite YYYYYYYYY you MUST insure the value of your wardrobe - particularly if you have items of value over £1000. But basically, your insurance policy total value would need to cover the cost of everything you lose. So if your whole house burnt down (God forbid) how much would it cost to replace carpets, fittings and fixtures, furniture, clothes, books, electrical items etc.?
When my Mulberry handbag was stolen a few years ago in a house burglary the value of that including its contents was £1500 alone (sunglasses, scarf, Mulberry purse, nice make up etc etc.). It's definitely worth checking your policy.

Amber I love what a firm favourite the Tibi has become
Also love people's answers in terms of saving the things they love the most versus the reality which for me was that I spent 10 days wearing PVC trousers with assorted t-shirts!!! So well done on being practical Liberty
Welcome Santa (unless you've been here a while and I missed it in the last few days.....sorry!) - lovely items! I saved for my MaxMara coat for ages hence my save.
Decam good work thinking about the replacement shopping trip. Not sure the insurance company will cover your flights! Grin

MrsR there is only one thing that I am missing that I gave to charity when I decluttered in the Autumn, a pair of size 31 7FAM jeans with a straight leg in a lovely worn in wash. I gave them away because I haven't been able to wear them for 3 years, but I am now wearing 30s and 31s again so am a little annoyed to say the least.

And finally - to all who have replied about a London meet up I'll email either later today or tomorrow. To anyone who hasn't replied I'll assume it's not for you. Please feel free to change your mind though! The more the merrier!

Ooh, I have lots of ones that got away. Bizarrely - a TKMaxx jumpsuit that was on final markdown for about £7.00. It really suited me but I didn't get it because I've had so many mistakes from there. Same with a See by Chloe tunic from there - about £9.00. What on earth is wrong with me? I think it's because I fear I only like it because it's so cheap. I only just noticed the PMs! I will reply later.

My what would I save: Vintage 40s wool coatdress, 50s feather print cotton dress. I'm struggling for the third item. Maybe the huge Missoni scarf I've got that I love and hardly ever wear. No bags or shoes, that's because I don't have the perfect ones. It's a constant battle.

Another one that got away - a pair of Louboutin neon pink heels, only one pair in my size at huge reduction. All the staff were crowding around chanting "buy, buy, buy, they look amazing on you" and it pit me off. I had even considered buying them at full price. A theme is emerging - I am useless at sales shooping. I ought to be kicked off MNV for these crimes really. Have good days everyone!

Would love London meet up Sadly have too many trips already planned but would be up for another once I'm quieter towards the end of summer. Anytime after mid/late august.

Three things would all be sentimental although I've only just realised this when making the list.

Miu Miu bag that my mother bought me as a surprise when Harvey Nics first opened here.

A vintage gold locket that SJP wore in SATC and DH managed to buy for me (I was a big fan back in the day)

And an insanely popular gold beaded Matthew Williamson top with a neon butterfly on the front from his 2002 collection that was one of the first really high end item I bought myself. Very Ibizia. Looks faintly ridiculous now but it still makes me smile.

Why are my answers always so boringly long?!
